The hotel was in a great location. The carpet in the hallways needs cleaning. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room amenities were adequate. The breakfast was pretty decent.

The area was very nice and close to all sorts of places to eat. The building looked fine on the outside, but the inside looked old and unkempt. Nearly every door needed painting. The room was terribly humid. We had to run the A/C at 60 degrees the whole time just to get it cooled off enough to feel comfortable. Then came the late night party down the hall. Very loud music started up about quarter til 10pm. The party was several rooms down the hall from us, but the music made our walls vibrate. We thought for sure the management would put an end to it. Finally by 11pm I had had enough and called the front desk. They seemed unaware. They said they checked it out, but I had to call back again at midnight. They apparently notified the room because the music was then turned down, however, I had to call back again because the music was still loud enough to vibrate our walls and the party people were up and down the hall talking and carrying on. The night manager said he was going to get his "team", which I took as "security" to talk to them. At that point I had to say that it better work or I would have to call 911. Thankfully, it stopped. It was a rough night. I highly doubt if I would take the risk of staying at this particular place again.

The staff there was genuinely very helpful to us throughout our long stay there. The front desk personnel and management helped us with many reservations and changes. The maintenance guys were very good with handling mechanical issues that came up. The breakfast kitchen crew fed us well with consistently good food. We especially appreciated all of the fresh fruit they prepared. Housekeeping and custodial staff were professional and diligent. We came to feel that they were our support family, and that they treated us as they would their own family. We took great advantage of the proximity of the Washingtonian Rio area, particularly the walking trails. We recommend this residence inn happily.

Its in a very peaceful location as well as not 3 mins away from many dining and shopping options

Had to switch rooms cuz sink in bathroom was broken and so was tv in the living room area

The staff were very friendly but the room felt dated, in particular the bathroom. The tub looks old. The towel bar a little crooked. The toilet handle needed jiggling to stop it from running. I always trust a Marriott but I think for the rates they charge, this one could use some updating
