The electronic key was broken twice during my four-night stay.

If you walk: Supermarket is one minute away. Sky drive bus to airport is five minutes away. Ferry deck is 10 minutes away. Basic breakfast is included.

On the last day, the staff told me that breakfast would be open at 6:30, but the front desk staff said it would be 7:00, which was disappointing.

We were there for a Birthday. Handy to every thing, breakfast was filling. Needs a bit of an update but good over all.

Quite run down, dilapidated, poor quality mattress and pillows. Single glazed windows, noisy heat pump and fridge, small tv. Take a trip back in time to a 1970s hotel. Room has a faint smell of old cigarettes - it is smoke free, but just can’t get rid of those years of smoking.
The gym is tiny. Has one treadmill, an exercise bike and some nylon dumbbells (heaviest 10kg!!), no weight bench, no water in the water dispenser, no cleaning wipes.
Breakfast pretty good.
Quite a rough part of CBD with people begging outside the grocery store close to the hotel. If I was an international visitor this would be a poor reflection on Auckland.

I like the location . Although breakfast is very limited but good enough. Reasonable price at CBD area. You have to pay for car park but at least is secure.

Requested early check in but wasn’t able to check in till 1.45pm. Requested help with bedding at 5pm but was told housekeeping was closed. Found own extra blankets in basement cupboard. Very noisy surroundings due to construction tarps. Windows didn’t close. Carpet worn bare in parts.

This hotel is very reasonably priced for a 2 bed apartment for 4. Yes it is very basic and tired but it is clean and the staff are so friendly. It includes a cooked breakfast buffet style. Can’t really complain and not their fault but the city has road works everywhere and was noisy with banging and machines right outside till gone 3am they stopped.

Advertising and costing is not misleading but what you would expect for the cost. Some staff much more friendly and helpful than others

Loved the breakfast in particular! The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Fantastic location with every amenity needed within walking distance. A great place to stay and highly recommend.

Becoming my " Must place to stay" When it is available! For the price it is hard to beat. Especially with the bonus breakfast.

Love the location, breakfast. Beds really comfortable, happy with room. Staff are very helpful, even when arriving 11pm.
Construction outside our windows was loud & hearing the tradies at 11pm one night was not the greatest.

Staff was amazing and accommodating! I had tours starting early (before the breakfast starts) and they accommodated me on those dates and provided breakfast. They cleaned my room every day, were always willing to listen and answer my questions and give helpful suggestions. The hotel is situated in a great area-close to major attractions, safe, plenty of dining options nearby, very walkable. Would definitely stay again.

This stay was my third at the President and definitely the best to date. On previous visits I had been allocated rooms in a somewhat tired condition with minor irritating problems. This time the room appeared fresher, tidier, cleaner and everything worked. Every comfort I required was well provided and the included buffet breakfasts were satisfying with simple options. My only complaint would be that the single ply toilet paper provided is cheap, nasty and not in keeping with the quality standard of the other accessories.

Whenever we visit Auckland we stay at the President. Rooms are clean. Breakfast, (eggs, bacon, mushrooms, hash browns, sausage. Variety of cereal,toast,tea and coffee) basic, but good. Staff friendly. Within walking distance of numerous restaurants and the waterfront. Would highly recommend.

The hotel have 3 lift but when i check out, all lift dont use because they maintainent, i must bring my valy from level 12 down basement. I very tired

Lots of construction, tight parking, but if you don’t have a car, this is a great place to stay with lots of shopping and dining. Grocery store almost next door. Nice breakfast and very nice staff.
