Stayed for one night as my daughter's were attending a concert in Halifax. Room was spacious and clean. The tiles over the bath could have done with a good scrub as the grouting was mouldy but I imagine the cleaner doesn't get enough time to do that. We were in room 25 which was over the restaurant and had vents outside the window on a flat roof. Don't stay in this room with young children as it might be tempting to climb out, which would be very easy to do. Receptionist was very friendly and professional.

Overall really clean and tidy, however did notice that the buttons on the TV remote had staining, so had a peek and there was dust on the kettle and phone. I’m not a germaphobe, but it did make me wonder how clean touch points like the light switches were. Would also be a good idea to have a fob system to exit the building at night, I couldn’t sleep and had to disturb the night porter a couple of times and felt awful! However, I understand it would be a big change, financially. Hopefully you take this as constructive criticism and not me being a Karen. Staff were absolutely lovely, check-out was swift and parking was abundant. If I were in the area again, I’d stay her :)

Very clean and well maintained hotel. Very competitively priced. Situated in a small industrial areas near to residential areas. If you are having breakfast, ensure you book it in advance as the price increases by half if you just turn up. Breakfast was a little sparse but food quality was good. I felt that the large sign in the restaurant warning not to take food from the dining room otherwise you would be charged was a little 'Fawlty Towers' like. However, on the whole, its not a major issue as everything else was exactly as it should be. The maintenance and cleanliness was especially impressive.

There was a disco in the room opposite our bedroom. Our bed might as well have been on the dance floor. Eventually quietened down just after 11pm.

We regularly stay here when visiting Bradford as we always receive excellent service and it is a very convenient location. Have emailed separately regarding a slight staffing issue on this occasion, however this is not a reflection of the usual high standards experienced.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were great and the staff were helpful and friendly. We found the position most suited to our needs, on the outskirts of Bradford.

I have visited this hotel fairly regularly over the last 4 years and I am always struck by the fact it is the same staff, which is unusual in hospitality. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Nice pleasant room. View was a brick wall, about 4 feet in front of the window, but I wasn't there to admire any views! As you usually find in most hotels, the shower head was poor and the head rail was badly positioned (with a lot of fluff and muck on top of it!). The room was fine though The restaurant was nice, food lovely and staff very pleasant too. Reception staff were also very nice too.

This was my second stay at the Guide Post and, as last time, the people make the place welcoming and warm. Perfectly placed for our needs, the rooms were comfortable although decor is a little dated now. Breakfast was always piping hot and a great way to start the day.

The room we were allocated was very small. The bed was uncomfortable, noisy when moving, tiny bathroom.

Beware when booking that there is a DJ that doesn’t stop until 1am. Family rooms are right above it! I didn’t realise on booking this was the case unfortunately meaning very little sleep for us and our little girl. Breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly though. On the basis of the noise it’s just not worth it and wouldn’t ever go back.

Decided to stay as we could have a family room. However the room was noisy due to traffic and the industrial estate (we know that the hotel can’t control environmental noise but there was no mention on any literature) wouldn’t have been as bad if the hotel had fans in the rooms/air conditioning. Had to remind staff about having extra pillows having requested them. Room seemed clean h til we moved a bedside table so that it was accessible for the single bed and there was dust. Was pleasing to see signs regarding reusing towels but then immediately under individually plastic wrapped plastic cups. Warm Veggie option in the bar was also poor.

Stayed here before and did so again as its a nice hotel. However this time, after checkout the service was nothing short of disgusting. I was told my invoice would be emailed. Fine. 2 days later when it hadnt arrived, the receptionist was arguing saying I had to get it from Hotel.com when I paid in the hotel. She eventually hung up and refused to answer when I called back but later emailed the invoice. So apart from a nice stay, make sure you get your invoice if you pay local as the service is very poor

Its very easy to locate good transport for everyone to access the hotel. Unlike more assistant required from staff personnel towards supporting customers to assist more in delivering and receiving queries.

Overall a nice hotel. My room was a suite, which was a larger room with a sofa bed. Nice. Lovely bathroom but sadly water pressure and temperature were pretty abysmal. Wifi good. Bed average. Duvet too small for a couple
