Probably did not see the area at its best as it was raining and on a Sunday it was quite difficult to get something to eat. The hotel was very clean. Pillows not too great. Breakfast was ok, continental so standard in Spain. Staff at the desk and at breakfast were very helpful and friendly. Good location.

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Staff was very friendly, and the hotel was conveniently located, within walking distance, of all the sites I wanted to visit. I would stay here again, without question.

Central location with car park opposite, hotel customers get discounted parking. Great view from our 3rd floor room (there is a lift).

Pass on this one. 1 coffee machine for a whole dining room so you wait your turn for a cup of lukewarm coffee since the machine can necer heat up.

We had 2 nights in Plasencia and the Hotel Exe Alfonso VII was a great base. The staff were very friendly and we felt most welcome. Would recommend!

Brilliant hotel, spotlessly clean, centrally located, comfortable, spacious, handy and secure parking and very good value. We got a perfect family room - two interconnecting rooms, one with double other with twin beds, but the double was so massive the kids insisted on sleeping in our bed too! Second time staying here as stop over en route to Seville to visit family and we will stay again in future for sure.

Very nice and conviently located to visit those small towns at the Jerte valley and Portugal Them a short walk to enjoy the city and the plaza mayor

Our room was spacious, the bed was big and everything was clean. The building looks like a Palais. So were our room.

The staff were uniformly friendly, courteous and helpful, and the care taken with us and our order especially appreciated.I dont think there was a guide to, or explanation of, the parking facilities given me when I booked, and these would have been extremely helpful, and ought always to be given.No suggestions for improvement otherwise. First rate.

This was clearly a "grand" hotel, once upon a time. Now in drastic need for a total overhaul and update. But perhaps too difficult for Exe to contemplate in what appears to be a town in sad decline.

Overnight stay whilst driving from the Algarve to the Santander ferry. Didn't eat at the hotel as wanted to look around Plasencia. Only 3 minutes walk to the Plaza Major (nice area - Spain seems to have plenty of these). Plenty of restaurant choices, so great location. Hotel, staff and room were very good. Parking opposite was €17.50, so build that into the price. Downside was watching Man Utd's performance at Olympiacos.

Only stayed here on a stopover and was completely happy with our choice. The staff were very helpfull with tourist tips etc. Returning in a few weeks on our way back home.
