Used wall style ac/heater on heat and it was loud and cut on and off making it difficult to sleep.

I love a good shower with great water pressure and this hotel did not disappoint. Also, I left my suitcase in the room and received a call from the front desk. We couldn’t return right away but when we did it was waiting for us and nothing was removed from it.

Our initial room was dirty. There was spit and hair in the shower and a mouth floss on the floor. It was reported and the front desk clerk showed another room which was also dirty. We were then moved upstairs to another room. On the day before checkout we were back to the room at around 4:30 pm. Our keys were not working. I had to go to the front desk to have them reprogrammed. Upon entering our room no housekeeping had been done and both trashcans were full. I would not recommend.

Room had a bad odor when we arrived. The refrigerator had not been cleaned and it had spoiled food in it. I asked office to clean but it never happened. I took spoiled food to front desk. Smoke alarm was faulty. Maintenance came to repair and left dropped batteries on the bed. One of the blankets had stains.

This property was not kept well. The rooms were extremely old and needed updating greatly. Upon entering the room it had a terrible musty smell. The commode had a hard time flushing also. Just was not a very nice stay. The bed was comfy though and the staff was very nice.

There was trash under the vanity when we checked in. The clerk that checked us in made us feel as if we were checking into the Bates Motel.

We were woke up at 2:30 am to fire alarm there was a fire in a room coming from light fixture above mirror in bathroom the guest put it out with wet towel the staff had no ideal how to deal with it then at 4:00 am fire alarm went off again finally the fire department showed up and evacuated whole hotel for around 11/2 hours while they checked out another issue that was related to the first alarm staff were rude when we arrived and when we left it was a horrible experience the elevator was out of order I’m handicapped and had to go down 2 flights of stairs I would not recommend this hotel ever !

Great location and shockingly good breakfast! Staff were nice and checkin/out were easy too. The downside was the room smelt, shower had mold, and bed as well as pillows were lumpy. I don’t think I’d stay there again just due to that.

Not the most warm staff we've ever dealt with. Sink faucet looked like a cat scratching post. There was a plastic bag over the fire alarm. There was damage on the roof corners. Bathroom door had damage. Housekeeping took out washcloths and didn't leave new ones or make up the bed.

Very unsafe handling of fire alarm at 2:30 am. Woman in charge was sending people back to their rooms before fire department arrived and determined that the situation was safe. Staff was not good.

Stayed a night as I was traveling thru the area. Bed was comfortable and AC cooled well. Place will need an update soon. Had jetted tub which was dirty. And finally staff appeared to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed that day.

It was a good experience staying at Best Western Plus. Room was clean and tidy with ample towels and napkins in the bathroom. Refrigerator and microwave were in good working conditions. Loved their breakfast which included Texas shaped waffles and coffee machine with different options.

The housekeeping staff needs to learn what the do not disturb signs are that is hanging on the door handle. They came in before we left and then tried to assure me that it was okay because some people leave early.

We tried to check in early as we were traveling with children and a dog. We were told we couldn’t as the pet friendly rooms were still being cleaned. When we did get to our room, the floor obviously hadn’t been swept as there was noticeable dirt and debris. The floors were very sticky too. The pool was good. The breakfast was wonderful.

Bathroom/tub had mold. Beds looked dirty. Hair on sheets/pillow cases. Front desk staff on arrival were very attentive and kind! Departure, lady was rude.

There were 2 main issues - one was the very poor WiFi, the other was the non-working ice machine on our floor. We thought the price was a bit high for the quality of the motel. Comparing the price per night of the Bedt Western Plus to Inn On Barons Creek (which I did after I got home) we could have stayed there for about $50 less per night. That was a disappointing lesson.

I liked the outdoor dining area. I didn't like the grumpy old guy at the front desk who was snippy at people when they would ask a question. I also didn't like the passive aggressive sign in the bathroom about not using white washcloths to take off your makeup with a long dissertation of all the things you shouldn't do, as if I had already committed a crime. It was very unwelcoming. I think they need a class in hospitality 101. It appears the mood around that place is please don't stay here, we're tired of people. I will not be staying there again.

Dirty and unsafe. Squeaky bed every time you moved. Strange men hanging out in the front area and also outside. Kept walking by as we got our stuff out of the car. Whole place smelled terrible . Guys with hoodies over their heads laying around in the front entrance

Property and staff were fine.I was put off by a surprise $30 early check-in fee which was sprung upon me at check-in when I had no time to opt out. I was not told about this when I requested early check-in over the phone and explained why I needed early check-in.

Reception staff said they were unable to supply laundry detergent, didnt know if they had any/where it was, directed me to Walmart to get it. Breakfast was very poor, no where to sit, no hot water for tea, reception told me to heat it in microwave. No recycling, everything to landfill.

The property was clean with no obvious cleanliness issues. Mattresses are older, spring only mattresses which we found to be far less comfortable than the memory foam and hybrid mattresses we are accustomed to. Staff is not very friendly and did not seem helpful when asked about directions or extra towels. It’s an inexpensive stay for Fredricksburg, Texas and not a bad deal if you are looking for inexpensive and clean.
