Hard to park, saw a hair on the bedding. We received a broken bed in a room with 2 queen beds (technically not 2 queen beds, each queen was made by 2 twin beds combined, so 4 twin beds total, one of the twin beds was broken). The hotel was like: can’t give you any refund because you book from Expedia; room is alright to sleep 3 people so the broken bed doesn’t matter. They offer a discount for next stay, but we don’t have a plan to visit bruges again.

The toilet arrangement in the room left a lot to be desired. The toilet had an opaque glass door and was situated level at the head end of the bed.The toilet area was far to small for any hope of comfort or privacy. Rest of the room was good. Tall lady receptionist was extremely helpful with a slight emergency and went above and beyond the call of duty in dealing with our problem. So well done Portinari

Rooms are very modern. Perfectly situated just seconds from bars and restaurants. Only a 5 minute walk from the main plaza area. Staff is very friendly. They even helped us out when we made a mistake with our booking. Can’t recommend it enough.

Loved the hotel and staff but was shocked by the bathroom amenities. It is all open concept. There is no door to the shower area. Our room was set up with a small private toilet room (with door). And then the shower was open concept with glass window. There was a privacy shade but you could still see through slightly. All rooms are this way. Can be awkward - was traveling with friends. But we managed. Otherwise good hotel. Probably would not stay again just because of the bathroom.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. It was very close to everything you need. The area is safe and clean and you can walk everywhere. The staff was excellent. Only downfall was room did not get very cool and there was a lighting issue. Not a big deal though as everything else about the hotel made up for it.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Great hotel within a short walk to the centre of Bruges. We had a family room with two twin beds and a queen bed which was a Murphy bed. The Queen bed had a hard mattress which made it a bit hard to sleep on and the shower area had no door which were the only challenges. Overall a good experience and there was a nice food market on Saturday in the square outside our hotel which was a nice surprise.

Nicest hotel of a multi-day trip - very conveniently located (just within walking distance of the train station and on the edge of the old town). Several restaurants nearby and scattered across the town. Nice open space with room for our family of three.

Nice modern hotel on the square with tons of dining and drinking options and a market on some days Parking is right under that square for 12€ per 24 hours Rooms are of decent size with fancy furnishings and a coffee machine with plenty of coffee pods and tea bags.

Great renovated property. Clean, and bright and beautiful. Staff were nice and friendly and it's literally on top of, or next a bunch of nice restaurants and bars.

Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself I’ve been told has since been renovated so everything seems nice and clean which is very important for me at hotels.

We had a great short stay at Portinari. The room was specious and comfortable. Service was spotless.

Lovely central hotel. Very clean and modern obviously recently refurbished. Beautiful lobby and friendly helpful staff. Spacious room with beautiful view.

Hotel was nice and clean and in a good location. Was expecting a little more from a four star hotel though. Had to put the luggage in the storage ourselves (not tagged so not sure if your luggage might be taken by other travelers). Floor wasn’t carpeted and room slippers weren’t provided so it’s a little cold to step on barefooted. The bed had no head rest so it was a little awkward to sit up against to rest.

The hotel and the room were amazing. I had the best sleep in my life there. The location is awesome and the breakfast, well 🔥🔥🔥

The hotel was nice clean and modern slap bang in the centre of Brugge. The room we booked was a family room which was big and spacious and over looked the square. The master bed was two singles put together with a drop down double wall bed which worked fine for the kids and us adults. There were two main issues about the family room the first being the bathroom had no door and a full length glass wall (which in fairness did have a blind) but the lack of door did make it more difficult with a 14 year old girl and 11 year old boy to shower and get dressed in private. The biggest issue was that one of the lights was faulty and was flashing on and off so we couldn’t use any of the main lights for the whole stay which wasn’t ideal at night relying on mood light. We reported is as soon as we arrived but nothing was done about it. Not the greatest for a supposed 4 star hotel. I think I would have rated it closer to a 3 star at best. Other than that a nice stay.

Very nice hotel, great location. 10 meters from a reasonably priced car park and only a short walk from central Brugge.

We had a great trip to Bruges with 18 fantastic friends to celebrate a few birthdays. The hotel portinari was great the location and the rooms were extremely comfortable. The welcome service provided by the hotel was a very nice surprise. Thank you and I’m sure we will return again. From all on the trip from The local chartham.

Close to everything, friendly staff, clean and well kept rooms!

Location is good, because it's close to one of the pedestrian exits from the huge t'Zand underground car park. Staff were OK, some a bit 'cool', some were lovely. Room condition was a big disappointment. Air-con was weedy and never reached the set temperature, and weirdly reverted to 24C setting after a few hours. USB charging ports were dead, as were some of the mains sockets. Several overhead light bulbs were not working, 'stylish' small round table had a top which was unusable since it tilted by 10degrees! All of these were reported by us (and no doubt others) but "nobody is available to fix them". Good points: waterfall shower was great, nice toiletries, room was clean, small fridge (real bonus) and kettle. Breakfast was fine (for us) with very helpful staff. Didn't get the 'city view' rooms that were booked ('all our rooms have views of the city" - was the response). They don't. Overall: would I recommend this hotel? Not sure, think I'd opt for a less-stylish (and hopefully better-maintained) choice.

The hotel is great, the rooms are very comfortable, very quiet, and with a great location, in the middle of the two main streets to shopping, closer of the city centre, if you arrives at bruges train station yo can walk about 10 minutes and found the hotel. If I will return, without doubts choose this hotel again

Very convenient. It is on the t’ Zand square with regular buses to the station and lots of cafes.
