Excellent old-style hotel with prime location 1 minutes walk from the Triple Bridge. Restaurants and everything you would want to see also within short walking distance. Easy to reach by car, garage in hotel basement. Dog friendly with gifts for the dog on arrival, dog allowed in the breakfast restaurant if you sit by a table in the periphery. Excellent breakfast.

Great comfy hotel in the heart of the capital. Gym was a bit odd, with unusual things in it but not the things you need for a proper workout. Dumbbells but no bench, also they had the windows open and was too hot, should have aircon on.

The hotel is nice and clean, staff are friendly but 2 issues; the air conditioning was terrible and did not work well and when we arrived we were told the parking garage was full and we would have to go to another garage and pay 30 euros to park there overnight !
When we booked , we specifically looked for a hotel with parking on site as many hotels in Ljubljana centre do not.

Only thing I felt could be better. Breakfast just wasn’t that great. And there’s no bar. There is a bar area but it’s where you have breakfast. Such a beautiful hotel with lots of space I feel needs a nice bar to relax in before going out for dinner

Wonderful hotel right in old city center. The rooms are spacious, bathroom is beautiful, and the AC works well.

Amazing hospitality. Fabulous location. Delicious breakfast.
The pool was nice as we were provided a late checkout. Parking is small, but doable.
Highly would recommend.
Only downside was the airconditioning wasnt strong enough for such a large room, but it was okay.

Probably one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Clean, friendly staff, best breakfast buffet and the Expedia upgrades were top notch. You cannot beat the location. It’s in the heart of old town and walking distance to everything. Hotel underground daily parking fee of Euros $19 was not bad considering the area

Could not have been better! What an impressive, luxurious, comfortable stay! A truly lovely hotel with all the many little extras that make all the difference in the world! (Like a complementary breakfast that included everything you could ever wish for to start your day.) The perfect Ljubljana hotel experience! :)

We stayed at nine hotels on our recent trip through Northern Croatia and Slovenia, and Grand Hotel Union Eurostars was one of my favorites. The room was simply beautiful (and had two bathrooms?!) and a great city view. The service was great. And as it's just on the edge of the pedestrian zone you can drive up to it and park your car (for an additional fee and beware - that parking garage is tiny and you will be make some sharp turns!). Breakfast was very nice. Overall, a very nice stay.

I have now stayed several times at the Grand Hotel Union. I haven’t been disappointed once - super service and friendliness. I can only recommend them.

The room was ok. Our request for twin beds was respected.
The swimming pool was ok, however, it is only open from 9:00 in the morning. Since breakfast closes at 10:00 you cannot swim before breakfast.
We had a voucher of 15 EUR for food and drinks. Upon check out the receptionist told us that the voucher would cover our bill at the coffee shop (10,50 EUR). However, the expenses of the coffee shop were charged to our bill. This is not correct! It is a pity that even in such a reknown hotel you have to be aware of a wrong bill.

Beautiful building, staff are very helpful and efficient. Breakfast buffet quite extensive. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring old city. Parking garage is tight, but manageable.

Everything was excellent except for the non working AC. While the outside temperature was 79 and the room overheated, the registration desk was talking about heating still taking place.
I opened the window wide open, so after midnight and closer to the early morning, the room was much cooler and easily to breath. Everything else-perfect. Would stay at the hotel again, hope soon.

Room was super and the location ideal. There were some construction outside with a lot of movements of people outside the windows of the room. Personell and breakfast were vey good
