Did not stay the town of Chester was without Power, so I cancelled

The room and bathroom were both spacious for our family of 5, however, the room was filthy and severely lacked appropriate attention - we opened the sofa bed to find the sheets from a prior stay still on the bed complete with old food crumbs that had fallen through the couch, there was a large cockroach running across the floor, and we found the old room keys from a prior guest that had been left behind. There was also a crack in the bathroom wall and the bathroom faucet handle repeatedly kept falling off. Despite having reserved the room for 5 guests, we still had to ask for extra towels, bedsheets, blanket and a pillow for the 5th guest after our arrival. The “complimentary” toiletries (shampoo and body wash) were completely empty, the vending machine was virtually empty with the exception of about 5 items, and the heating element in the hot tub was broken. On the positive side, the staff were all friendly, the ice machine was properly functioning, and they had a good selection available for the complimentary breakfast which the staff kept well-stocked.

This was just a quick one-night stay. Everything was clean and in good condition. They were attentive at the breakfast and kept items stocked and area very clean.

Check in & out was super easy and the staff were all nice, no matter who we spoke to and gave helpful info about the area. Room was clean and tidy.

This is a small town with very few choices for overnight stay. This property could compete in any market for clean, comfortable rooms, excellent staff and doing what a good motel should do to please customers.

Nice, clean and comfortable room

The room was fine, nothing to complain about really. TV worked and had lots of channels. Definitely not a 4 Star property though. Elevator was out of order, ice machine was out of order, no one was ever at the front desk. Breakfast was free but mediocre. The area is lacking in restaurants and entertainment. The South entrance to Lassen is over 30 minutes away, and HWY 89 was still closed in mid-June so North entrance was well over an hour away.

Very clean and big rooms

The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was clean and quite. The outdoor area had some trash and a lot of cigarette butts near a entrance.

The courteous welcoming staff and great checkin experience. Overall stay was comfortable.

The elevator was broken and since my husband and I have back issues and couldn’t carry our luggage to second floor we had to take clothes out of our case in the car and carry it in our hands. Also the vending machine was almost empty with no beverages for purchases. Not worth the $220 we paid for the night.

Very nice, ice water, hot water in the lobby for you to cool down or make a hot tea

Very clean room. The perimeter of the facility was well taken care of. Quiet. Within walking distance to several restaurants.

Stayed 2 days.April 13 thru April 15.2024.Big king size bed.Clean safe bathroom.Buffet style breakfast.Bacon and eggs.Energy breakfast to drive to Lassen Volcanic Park.Would definitely stay here next time I’m in Chester.

We had a very nice stay in a clean room and was surprised by the nice breakfast. Since we had to leave one morning prior to breakfast hours, a "to-go" breakfast bag was made and ready at the front counter. Would really like an electric car charger available at the motel which would have given the facility a five star rating.

Chester is a quaint, beautiful town. The people are very friendly and happy to help. The Rose Quartz Inn is a great property, very comfortable and conveniently located.

Very clean, and a great breakfast

Three day stay with no room service or notice of same. So no clean towels, beds made, trash removal. Had to ask for towels on the third evening and were informed that is how they operate. Internet not functioning and TV had no guide and was a joke. Incredible!

Nice size rooms and bathrooms. Staff were really nice. Disgusted with recreation area covered with so many dog poop.

We arrived in the early afternoon of Thanksgiving day. From the moment we arrived, our travel needs were accommodated in a generous and friendly way. Our family had traveled with our Thanksgiving meal, expecting to heat it up and enjoy it in one hotel room; instead, the staff allowed us access to their breakfast room so that we could have a proper spread at a table and chairs. The following morning, the free breakfast was generous and replete. The staff's generosity and customer service was amazing. The rooms were nicely appointed and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again, the next time we are traveling in this area.

We received a more accesible and spacious room as previously expected. Also, the woman at the looby was specially helpfull in our whole stay.

One of the nicest best westerns that I’ve stayed in to date. It is super clean, and I like the spacious bedroom and bathroom.
