Great location and inexpensive and large accommodations centrally located close to all the Berkshires have to offer. Staff was very friendly when we encountered them. This place is a bit out-dated, but comfortable and clean for long-term stays. Water pressure is on the needy side.

Carmen, the property manager was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. The room was very cozy and everything worked well. Parking was easy and convenient. The town was very nice.

If you’re going to the Colonial Theater to see a show this is the Perfect Place to stay. Two small complaint was the description said a sofa bed and there wasn’t one. 2nd needed more than one small bar of soap for 3 people.

Cleanliness and comfort ranked very high here. We very much enjoyed the comfortable, large king bed and the cushy living room sofa. The unit was the size of a small apartment with large rooms having lots of windows and light including a large balcony with chairs - views of green leafy trees from some windows and town views from others (such as a parking lot etc. but expected being in downtown). It has a kitchen with all of the standard large and basic small appliances and all were clean and in working order. If you don’t want or need to cook in the kitchen, there are a couple of eateries within close walking distance with others at further walking/driving distances. During our two night mid week stay it was very quiet even though the Inn is off of a very busy local street. This property looks to be well used over many years and is kept to a relatively high standard of cleanliness and comfort. We had never used this type of remote check in/keyless service but it worked very well. At one point, I had to contact the Inn via phone and was able to speak with someone right away. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future.

Clean, unpretentious property. Nothing special, nothing offensive, except bothered by continuous loud noise and floor banging until late in the evening from room above.

Quiet, low key accommodations. The place is the size of a 1 bedroom apartment. Was nice having a nicely furnished kitchen utensils and plates/silverware available. The place is a bit dated, but overall worked really well.

Easy check in. Carmen was awesome. Close to stores, cafes and pet friendly.

Everything was Great

From check-in to check- out our stay here was fantastic! The manager, Carmen, made the experience easy and seamless. This was my boyfriend and my first attempt at traveling with the 6 year old dog we rescued last year. Our friends recommended this location because the rooms are clean, spacious and close to downtown Pittsfield. The attention to detail was obvious from the start and so refreshing! This will be our go-to place to stay when we just need some New England air to recharge our Jersey batteries!

Third time coming here. It's inexpensive, low-key, and quiet with easy access to Pittsfield. Recommended!

BEWARE OF THAT....THEY CANCELLED A 2 WEEK RESERVATION BECAUSE I HAVE 2 SERVICE DOGS & THEY DID IT WITH HATRED IN THEIR VOICE.... I'VE HAD NO ISSUES WITH THIS LOCATION EXCEPT MOT UPDATING ON LINE INFORMATION BOOKING SITES.......DO A THOROUGH CHECK ON ALL HOTELS/MOTELS/INNS ANYWHERE REGARDLESS OF THE NAME!!! ESPECIALLY @THESE HIGH RATES!!!! SOME OF THEM HAVE 2--5 NAMES FOR THE SAME PLACE.....

The Central Downtown Inn & Suites has no front desk so make sure you contact the number on your reservation prior if you have any questions. Carmen was very helpful and the check in instructions were send by text message when the room was ready. It was clear and easy. The place was clean and we enjoyed our stay. Centrally located, free parking, free working wifi and spacious.

Amazingly clean. I used to travel for business and have been around the country and I have to say this was one of the cleanest accommodations I have been to. However, it did have a "pet" smell. I have many pets so I wasnt put off by it, but someone else may be. My only comment would be to add a full length mirror, perhaps on the back of the bedroom door and maybe some salt/pepper packets for convenience. If I need to visit Pittsfield area again, i know where to stay. Thank you to Carmen and her staff!

When we arrived at 6:30 pm, there were no on-site staff to let us into our unit. We tried calling the property and Expedia to get help. Nobody answered the phone. We called the police to see if they could help. They could not. We finally found someone coming out of one of the buildings. He told us that we were suppose to get a text two hours before arrival with codes to get into the building and codes to get into our room and codes to get into WIFI. We got no text. We called the number where he received his codes and they were able to give us the codes. The room was old -- the floors squeaked wherever you walked -- the couch felt like it had been made in the 1800s -- the staff changed the codes the day before we left requiring us to call for the new codes.

What a pleasant surprise. We were expecting a hotel room with a kitchenette and got a one bedroom apartment. It was clean and comfortable, and we loved the extra space. Close to most anything you might need. Would definitely stay here again.

This place was delightful. The rooms were very large, clean, quiet and well maintained. It is 1/2 block off Route 7 and the main downtown area so very easy to get to.

It was great, very clean. Impressive amenities. You just hear everything from above so I kept thinking my child was waking up in the night, but it was someone running around upstairs. Everything else was perfect! Would stay again.

Second time staying here but it was total disastor. Broken AC and property manager kept on making false promises about fixing it, ended up leaving in middle of my reservations.

Hotels.com messed up our reservation at The Central Downtown Inn & Suites by not confirming with the hotel whether there were enough of the right kind hotel room we needed. The hotel manager, Carmen, was great and apologetic for Hotels.com's mistake, but she couldn't do anything about it. Hotels.com did make other arrangements for us at another hotel that worked out for our stay, but the initial anxiety created by their mistake was not enjoyable, especially when we had a newborn that needed to be fed and had to be breast-fed in the car
