Wonderful stay in a little cabin just outside downtown Winthrop. Would definitely stay here again.

Super hot air conditioner is not enough

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was air conditioned. Right next to grocery store and pizza restaurant.

Don’t book here, there is no cancellation no matter the reason, have Covid- sorry, death in the family-sorry.

The location was great and the (value) room was adequate. It was quiet and safe, located close to town but away from the chaos. I can't give top rating simply because the room was dated, with no amenities but still as clean as could be for it's age. My understanding is there are other rooms with refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers (ours didn't have any). Apparently I was extremely lucky to get a room on a super busy weekend. The staff was awesome, friendly and helpful.

We had a really good experience. We arrived pretty late and they had no problem accommodating that. The A/C worked great and the beds were very comfortable

Rustic lodging, I was expecting a single cabin for 3. We were put in a 4 unit building with not so quiet neighbors.

Kelly and Nicole were so kind and so helpful! They helped us out a lot when we had to change our stay dates. The cabin we stayed in was a little small and the bathroom appliances were a bit worn. Overall, it was wonderful stay!

Simple, adequate accommodations for a quick transit stay.

Clean room overlooking the river (an upgrade). Very friendly staff. 15 minute walk to downtown Winthrop along a dedicated path.

Great people, cabin was clean and cozy. Only issues of note would be the painfully short toilet (for a handicapped person)and no seating in the living room.

Everything was great except there was no one in the office and no key box at check out. There was an emergency number on the door but most issues are not emergency.

We enjoyed having a view of River from our room. We liked the rustic look that fits with the theme of the town. I did miss not having a breakfast at the facility to start my day.

Like most of the accommodations in the area, the Virginian Resort is funky and fun, matching the Western theme with uniquely decorated rooms and more of a B&B feel than hotel. We used the microwave and refrigerator to refrigerate and make breakfast and dinner for the two days that we stayed, and enjoyed, eating at the table. Some of the room overlook the river that runs along the back of the resort. It's pleasant to walk around the property with the river, open grassy areas, and place to BBQ. During our stay, we saw people using the sports courts, barbequing, and sitting out by the river in the lounge chairs.

This "Resort" was horrible. Dark, Dingy, and Depressing! Along with the 3 d's listed above the sink was clogged, the bath fan had a bearing going out and howled like a banshee. The bathroom door did not function properly, appeared to be swollen and would not open or close without getting physical with it and it made a horrible noise both opening & closing. There was almost no furnishing, a bed & two HARD table side chairs, but no table. Check in was questionable. I had prepaid for two nights through Expedia but they charge my card again stating that they don't trust the Expedia payment and being a small company cannot wait for the once a month Expedia payment to go through. I'm still checking with my bank to make sure I am not getting charged twice. Outcome pending. I would NOT recommend this facility to ANYONE!!

We could hear water running all night long. Very noisy.

A wonderful view of the river from our balcony was a highlight of our stay.

This is our 2nd time staying at Virginian hotel cabin and it’s still as good as the first time! We will keep coming back here if we are ever in winthrop
