Great spot, great helpful staff, would definitely stay again

Dishwasher didnt work. Really noisy on Friday night.

First room was above a night club and noisy, the windows did not shut properly and the wind made loud whistling noises but the friendly and helpful staff moved us to another room on the other side of the building and it was fantastic.

We stayed in a studio for a night before a wedding. The staff allowed us to check in early so that we could get ready in the room before having to leave for the event. The room was clean and big, and the bathroom had good toiletries, as well as a hair dryer and magnifying mirror. Everything in the room worked well. We couldn't hear other guests at all even though the hotel was pretty full. Parking is easy and free. We have stayed before and will stay again!

We have stayed at this hotel regularly. We thought we would eventually get a room with decent shower pressure. Our last stay was the worst by far, with the shower no more than a trickle. This building is relatively new, so there is no excuse for poor water pressure. Low cost hotels on Nebo road have better pressure. I had a bath instead and while relaxing in the bath, noticed how dirty the bathroom was. Anything not in direct eye sight had not been cleaned. The cost of these rooms is above average for Mackay, so we expect better than this. We feel like we will not be staying here again because of this. As we deserve a decent shower for the amount of money we have paid.

Walking distance to MECC

The carpet needs a good cleaning and shampoo. There were ants everywhere and the joinery doors need adjusting. No chairs on the veranda, and the couch was 2nd rate.

Stay in one bedroom suite regularly when in town for business. Good size room, plenty of space to areas out. Kitchenette is good, washer / dryer in room handy. Good food options downstairs Highly recommend

Fire alarm went off two days in a row

Lots of dirt and mould in the bathroom….

My initial room was very small. I needed a larger room to allow me to complete some of my work. After talking to the ladies at reception I was up-graded to a larger room which was fantastic. However, there was no outside furniture available to enjoy the night air. Breakfast the next morning was great and enjoyed a late check out. All in all was a nice evening.

The bed needs replacement and couldn’t use the fold out as it was broken

Lovely staff, the room was a big disappointment though, from no toilet paper to a dodgy shower head, no plugs in drains and a hit and miss aircon. Things are out dates and in serious need of an upgrade

The location of the property was excellent, very close to a range of restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable.

We stayed at Rydges for two nights. What I disliked about our stay was House Keeping barging into our room without giving us a minute to answer the door. I found that to be rude.

Clean and close to everything

Great location, friendly staff. Stay here often for business, well appointed rooms - highly recommend.

Freezing. The heater didn’t work, I call reception and they came up and set it the same that I had it and was told it will take 15-20 minutes to warm up. It didn’t and we froze all night. Reception wasn’t interested in helping. Pretty poor.

After calling ahead to tell the staff we had a wedding to attend at 2pm we are allowed to check in 2 hours early to get ready. Very happy with their customer service

The restaurant is letting the hotel down. Couldnt even eat breakfast as everything was so over cooked you could have used the toast to hold a car up.

Situated in a great spot with good restaurant's around it.

Clean Affordable No noise

Small room tucked away at the end of long corridor. Room was cold and heating didn't work. Unpleasant stay for the cost.

Comfortable stay. Standard check out at 11am is good

The reception team was not that friendly on the Saturday and Sunday, just not the type of person who should work on the front desk

A wonderful place to stay, well situated. The only thing I would say is the washer dryer was near impossible to work and the dishwasher was not working but a fantastic stay nonetheless
