Nice hotel in my opinion, spent the most of the time on the nearby beach, but the room had a nice terrace. You could borrow bikes, something we did.

The bar was never staffed but could just have been because it was the of season. The staff were very helpful but the overall property needs some work, it's getting a little tired.

There is a free shuttle bus that takes you into town about 4 times a day, the times aren't super convenient but taxis were easy to find and very cheap. The restaurant food wasn't great but go into to town and there are heaps of beautiful restaurants. We loved our stay here and highly recommend.

The resort is in desperate need of some TLC but I think this is reflected in the price you pay. Breakfast is great as long as you arrive by 7, otherwise the food stays for 3 hours and taking a late breakfast is not an option as everything is covered in flies. I arrived 9:45 one day and they had already packed up for true day. Coffee was available though: I took an evening trip to the marble mountains and was very angry to spend the first hour of the tour at a shop where owners were aggressively trying to sell you wares. They tried to fob me off with it’s a charity weekend but that was not the case, the charity market came later. I subsequently cancelled the following trip, I love buying the nick jacks on offer but this was truly something ekse and made me feel vulnerable. I took some room service the evening before departure and had to send the vanilla ice cream back because it was green. Next thing I know the resauant manager has been called in from his fathers funeral!!!!! To deal with the drama. The poor man was heart broken and I was livid that for the sake of 80 pence the man had been distressed so much. Finally when I came to check out, there were extra charges on my bill for spa treatments that I had already paid in cash directly to the spa, but honestly couldn’t be arsed with the battle given the previous evenings debacle so I paid the extra £8. Just about to leave and the receptionist starts going mad about a cup, said i had stolen it but it had been On RS tray!

Resort is lacking in amenities. Areas of resort needed cleaning. Had to request numerous times for rubbish to be removed from pool area. Fitness centre consists of broken equipment. Rooms were ok. Reception staff were lovely and always had a smile.

Nothing like the pictures, very minimal service. Run down, over priced in comparison to the condition of the property. Dont do it.

Booked in Dec 2017 for a river facing room, two days before we arrive, room location changed, but noticed a group of french tourists were given our room. Party in the next two rooms closest to ours for two nights with approx 12 young men. Complained second night nothing much changed. Booked out of hotel next morning and stayed the rest of our holiday in Hoi An in a beautiful hotel. When you go onto a hotel internet site, please be aware, it would appear that that some images are photo shopped. This hotel definitely in need of a make over.

In room WiFi is non existent. hallway of hotel is very dark at night and some area is damp and slippery. hotel staffs are not helpful nor friendly at all. Building is aged and not recommended.

we were "downgraded" to a smaller room, but it had a river view balcony and we were given the difference in USD to spend at the hotel. unfortunately they didn't put this on our check-in paperwork so there were issues at check-out time. overall its a great hotel in a great position near the beach and you can use the free bicycles to ride to Hoi an town. the staff were very friendly but sometimes easily confused

It's looking a bit tired and we were initially allocated a room (junior suite) overlooking the road with a large terraced area containing 2 scruffy sun loungers (one broken). This balcony area had no shelter (a problem since it rained most days) No WiFi in the room (as advertised) so informed reception who said they'd fix it. After 3 days of chasing the WiFi resolution we asked for a room change, which we did - to a much better garden room. Breakfast quality and service was poor.

We have been staying in the hotel for 3 nights. The environment in the hotel is quite nice, quiet and relaxing, though there's not much facilities. However, the bathroom are quite old, and the soundproof is really bad. We can hear clearly the people chatting in the next rooms. The shuttle bus schedule going to ancient town is not too frequent, there's only 1 shuttle schedule in the morning section departed at 9 sharp. It would be better to have one more shuttle in the morning section say at around 11.

The view is good....services is good .....the most important is there so many message next to hotel..you can try whatever you want

Great hotel with great staff, beautiful grounds and amazing breakfasts. An upgrade was given without asking and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful with giving advice. The only downside was the availability of the free shuttle, limited trips to town. The upside was free bicycle use. This was just a little hot during this time of the year.

We booked here for 5 nights to telex after a big adventure trip around China and Hanoi! It was brilliant!! So relaxing and the area was lovely meaning that you could have food locally nearby or within the hotel. The breakfast was the best we have ever had!!

Sleep was impossible due to traffic's habit of beeping horn to warn other road users of their approach. Requested move to another room, facing river. Much quieter and bigger. Was a little alarmed to see vanity had huge crack in it, inexpertly repaired with silicone, and tile grout was mouldy. Could not connect to wifi despite sitting under wifi router. Had to call desk to get aircon fixed as I could not reach it to adjust it or turn it off and the hand set was not working. As the air con was fixed high up on the wall, the janitor had to use a long pole to turn it off. I had two choices: freeze with the air con on, swelter with it off. Final straw was when I ventured out through French doors to balcony and discovered half the hotel appeared not to have a roof. Hoarding had been put up on poolside of building so that this lack was not obvious to pool users or breakfast eaters. I stayed one night, then moved out. Can I please have my money back?

We stayed in the older part of the hotel which wasn't as nice as the newer part, but the location was great we borrowed bicycles from the hotel and travelled further afield.

The grounds are lovely and the views along the river excellent. They offer a shuttle into Hoi An which takes about 10/15 minutes and free bikes. The beach that was once 100 yards away has now been eroded by the wave and so you do need to go about 2 miles north where there are great beaches - that's where the bikes come in.

what do you expect when you book a superior room and it is written "room with view" and the name of the hotel is River Beach Hotel? A room with view on the river, instead interesting enough I got a room with street view. I was not able to sleep at all, the street was very noisy with a lot of traffics and cocks, yes cocks. Wifi was not working in the area of the hotel where I was and I needed to wait the day after and the arrival of the manager to talk and have a new room. I spent more than 30 minutes to explain my concern and they were not properly reacting on my complaints. So future bookers, pay attention to what you are booking.

Great location, clean, quiet, satisfying breakfast, helpful staff, free bicycle, free shuttle to town, walk to beach. Nothing to complain about. Hoi An town is awesome.

The room smelt moldy and the wi-fi hardly worked. The free breakfast was plentiful and very tasty, and the staff spoke English and were very helpful. A free shuttle bus was provided to take you into the Old Quarter throughout the day and was a great service.
