Shower was terrible - didn’t drain, lukewarm water and little pressure. Desk staff were pleasant and location was good.

The property is clean and well maintained. We stayed in one of the ocean view condo units, which was very nice…quick walk to the beach. Saw one of the best sunsets ever the first night.

This is an old hotel but very clean with friendly staff I would stay again.

The light show, oregon coast history show, and Elvis music videos out our back door was very fun to watch. The stay was nice and a short walk to the beach. Very good service. Definitely my new vacation spot every chance i get

We got a room by the housekeeping facilities and were woken up pretty early due to sound. Had to be the worst room in the place.

Expensive then to not provide services as advertised. Spa not operating due to “pump is out and ordered”. I can order this and get it delivered overnight. Not acceptable when the room rate is over twice the price of other local hotels.

We checked for a six night stay - first room was dirty old looking, smelled, and tiniest refrigerator, we complained and on day 3 moved us to a studio. Studio was much better especially ocean view and was able to watch lightshow from room. Hot tub was broken the whole time -they should of stated on website one of the main reasons picked hotel

Honestly, it was average. Way overpriced for this space. Pictures are nicer than it looks person, definitely needs updating. If I were to travel this way again, I’d continue on a little bit further to brookings. I also don’t understand the “light show” or why they feel the need to do anything. We watched out of curiosity and it was a video about Oregon. Staff was very nice though. Grab and go breakfast was nice to have.

Since the lobby is only open certain times it would be nice if blow dryers were in the rooms especially since many people traveling are up and around before that time. An explanation of the grab and go breakfast would have been beneficial.

The light show was fun. The sound of the water and waves wonderful.

Overpriced for what you get.

The stay was fine. Very pricey for the quality of the hotel. The worst part was the light show. It was hardly that. It was a long ad for the state of Oregon (which is stunning) but there was nothing "light showy" about it. It blocks the beautiful ocean and is very gimmicky.

This place was fine for crash-and-go, although a little pricey for an aging strip motel. Hoping they will use the profit to get some new and larger towels. Having said that, the shower was strong enough to, as my partner said, clean out my inner ear.

We were able to check in early. Room was clean, felt somewhat old, but that’s pretty standard in Gold Beach/Brookings. Nice view of ocean from our porch (lower level). Easy 2 min walk to beach on private path. Light show was cute.

You can tell they are trying to clean the place up and make it nice, but the inside of the room we stayed #225 was old beat up furniture, paint missing in the walls, stained carpet right as you entered the room. If it wasn’t for the amazing view and the fact we were so tired…we would have packed up and drove home. We paid $370 for 1 night, and we expected way more. Shocked that so many reviews were 4star or higher.

I was disappointed with the appearance of our room. It looked like a cheap motel room. Wires draped across the wall from the tv to the electrical outlet. A microwave oven sat on top of an empty TV cabinet. The bed was uncomfortable. I heard road noise all night, and the sound from adjoining rooms was very loud, especially the shower in the next room.

Window shade wouldn’t go all the way down. Main front door can see light all the way around, no seal. Grab bag for breakfast, reminder of 2020 covid era.

Very clean. Great saltwater hot tub. Nice location. We needed King bed but only queen available without spending $300 more.

Very conveniently located if you’re driving down the 101. Felt very safe and comfortable.

Light show was pretty good. Proximity to brach was great to go stroll along the beach and sunset. Rooms were clean. Spinners restaurant good food.

We had a lower level room with a deck that was facing the ocean. It was peaceful listening to the ocean and watching the sunset. Just before dark, a deer walk right in front of us. It was the perfect end to the day.

The room and the mattress were clean. Standard room was extremely small and the town around the hotel was run down.

The staff was nice and responsible, he waited for us to check in till 10:00 pm. The location of the hotel is close to beach, about 5 minute walk. The place is quiet and safe, easy parking. While, the hotel is equipped simply, no air conditioner but electrical fan instead in the room. Only simple breakfast bag is provided.

The light show was cool. We had a room on the older side of the facility, and the conditions were poor at best.

Our stay was not comfortable. The room was outdated and small. They was a random chair that you would see in a gym or church, and there wasn't a good place for it because it blocked the bed anywhere we put it. We had a queen sized bed, which is enough room for two people to sleep. The problem is that people have slept in the center so much that the center was sunk in. That left us feeling like we were constantly moving around because we were sinking in towards each other instead of laying flat. Could also hear the neighbor's dog barking through the wall. The room had a small shower. It had one small shelf with a hole in the center, which might be for hanging a washcloth but wouldn't hold anything else. The shower head was old and didn't have a lot of water coming out. We honestly weren't sure if the shower was old and dirty, or if the little black lines/spots (not mold) all over the shower was a design choice. The internet barely worked when connected to wifi. The staff were ok. You could tell the person that checked us in was either not having a great day or just doesn't enjoy their job. They charge $250 if you smoke in a room. Came back from a road trip to our room smelling like weed. Went to the front desk to let them know it must be one of our neighbors so we arent blamed and charged. The person at the desk told me it was probably just a skunk, even though the smell wasn't outside and skunk spray is more potent smelling than dank weed. We were offered air fresheners.
