This hotel is conveniently located, but very dated and our room was dirty, as were the hallways, where the carpet was stained. Our room was infested with tiny ants, too. There is no AC, and they did provide fans, but they worked intermittently. We were placed in a room facing the church, and since we had to have the windows open, we heard people partying all night. Cigarette smoke wafted into our room, and the church bells rang on the hour. Also, please note that though there is an elevator, accessing the rooms requires several flights of stairs, which was difficult with our luggage. The staff were very kind and helpful and the restaurant and lobby look very nice, which is why we were surprised at the poor quality of the room.

The staff is helpful and friendly. The location cannot be beat. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, amenities around. The breakfast was wonderful. Included eggs (scrambled and boiled), bacon and sausage, mushrooms, and pancakes. Variety of breads, donuts, granola, yogurt and fruits. Self services coffee machine for cappuccino and lattes. Our room was a little dated but that did not make it any less comfortable. The kettle in the room was wonderful for making coffee in our room in the morning. The hotel was prompt with our request for extra pillows and coffee as well as towels. This was very much appreciated. This is only of the only hotels in Haarlem with a gym. It’s nothing glamorous and appears to double as a storage space but it got the job done. There’s a treadmill, stairstepper, free weight dumbbells, smith machine, and total body weight machine. I highly recommend this hotel and appreciate how attentive the staff was to our needs.

Beautiful quaint hotel in the best part of Haarlem, wonderful attentive staff, walking distance to restaurants, shops, the train station.

We missed a refrigerator in the room and the room was very hot. No airconditioning. The fan did not really cool the room

According to a very rude receptionist none of the family rooms can be reached by elevator alone. All require the guests to climb 12 to 20 steep and narrow steps. I am 70. That was not really a great option. Both rooms had dirty carpet and worn furniture. There is no ac. Leaving the window open gets one fresh air but also a lot of noise from restaurants and bars plus an array of bugs. Overprized and dated

Great location in the center of Harrlem. The hotel is close to anything you'd want or have to do: shopping, dining, St. Bavo's church, etc. Rooms far superior to what you find in Amsterdam for the same money. Town is not overrun by tourists.

The staff was very friendly. The location is great. The room with 4 twins was perfect for my family with 2 teenagers. Great view of the church. Beds comfy and shower hot and strong. Highly recommend.

I loved the location of this hotel, it was in the middle of the city, lots of food and drink options and overall the staff was incredibly helpful!

From the pictures of the restaurants and lobby, you'd think you were in for a real treat. But once you go upstairs, it's all very average. The carpets could use a good cleaning. It was cheap for a reason. Location was great tho.

Been coming to this hotel for 10 years and this time it s starting to get very old looking hallways and rooms need a good paint and not a fan of sitting on the toilet side ways terrible design

Room allocated bore no resemblance to rooms shown on website, up in the roof with no view. Also quite a small room.

This hotel was amazing. Tbe location was brilliant. In the centre and close to everything. The staff were lovely and helpful. The bar and restaurant that is part of the hotel was a great bonus. The room was great. Loved the walk in shower.

The hotel is in near everything you need for your stay! The only downside for us is that our van couldn’t get closer for drop off and we had many suitcases as we are relocating. Nothing the hotel can do about that, just be aware if you are coming with a lot of luggage. The staff is wonderful-will definitely come back!

Great location in the heart of Haarlem

This was one of our favorite locations in over 7 countries. Very hip and in the most perfect location. Staff was very nice and accommodating. We loved it .

Right in the city center of Haarlem. Everything is accessible.

My room was nice and quiet and had a view of the Cathedral’s clock tower! Comfortable bed and nice bathroom! Was able to walk up a half stair and be at my dad’s room on the 4th floor.

A pleasant stay, there were also no children in the hotel, so it was quiet. The breakfast is good, but I didn't eat everything that was served. Everything was neat and orderly. I spent the night there in connection with a concert, so if I find an interesting name I could use the hotel again.

The hotel is located great just by the church and walking distance to Haarlem central station. Very nice surroundings! The hotel itself is ok, the window in our room (511) had a quite big gap underneath so when it was windy outside we also got the wind right into our room… The door to our room didnt fully close itself so you had to push it close the last bit so when we arrived the door was open. We said no to house keeping since we werent sure they would close the door properly afterwards. The breakfast was very poor, I announced twice (a month and weeks prior) and upon arrival that I am vegan but the only thing they had was soy milk, milk free butter, one type of bread and cucumber & tomato. I would have liked to see more vegetables, cereals, oat meal, fruit salad for example.

1. Front desk clerks were awesome, helpful and professional. 2. Restaurant staff - the same - wonderful, friendly, professional and answered all of our questions. The quality of the food was wonderful. 3. Service staff (for rooms) Disappointed in the quality of the service. We did not ask for service every day that we were guests. Our glasses were never changed out or cleaned even when we did ask for service. When we needed clean towels because the bathroom floor got wet when we showered due to the logistics of the shower glass enclosure, we went out to their room to change them out. If you are a larger person, this bathroom would not work for you. There is not much room between the toilet and the shower door. Could be a safety issue. The location of the hotel is wonderful although only taxi’s (not Uber’s) can drive up to the hotel due to the road. Lots of activity and fun to be outside and enjoy the activities. The restaurants which are in this area are all great food choices. And there is a great little gelato spot close by. Great pizza too. The reason for the 3 stars is due to the service personnel.

Historic town centre location opposite the Kirk. Be aware the clock tower strikes during the night but it is very atmospheric!! Very happy with our stay

Lovely place

My room was comfortable and the location is very central of Haarlem. Short walk to the station. Breakfast had good choices of good food. Staff all lovely. Restaurant at hotel serves delicious food.
