Great location for what I needed . Visiting son at uni . Parking , hotel was clean . Great for dog as garden was big clean and safe and enclosed with Astro . Large kitchen great for tea coffee and making toast .

Advantages; ample parking. Good value. Short walk to the Quays where the new/modern restaurants are. One mile to the cathedral. There are nearby supermarkets. Downsides: thin walls: you hear your neighbors. The bed is a cheap, noisy metal thing. The common area/kitchen is subject to the behaviors of your neighbors. During my stay, they proved themselves to be total slobs.

The City Centre Guest House is refusing to refund me even though I didn’t sleep there, I couldn’t, the place was disgusting. The worst thing was I felt the mattress and could feel the springs, nobody should be expected to put up with paying for that! The kettle was dirty, the hanging rail wobbly. There were no staff there, self check-in and nobody answering the phone. Utterly despicable so I left, very upset about the whole experience. I didn’t take photos as the mattress was zipped inside a bag.

Ideal location for access to a wedding reception. Would have been nice to have been greeted by somebody at property. Felt very impersonal. Room nice and clean with good shower. Sink had no plug!

Overnight stop while traveling home. We walked to the Quays for a quite drink and a meal.The guest house was clean ,room facilities were good and we got a good night sleep .

You [Expedia] told me to expect a welcome gift: there was none. The property was clean and the decor tasteful. I booked 3 nights B&B but there was no scheduled times for a cooked breakfast: on Sat morning i found it was DIY, cereal, apple juice and toast and on Sun morning no apple juice! This accommodation might be okay for students during term time but not for tourists on a weekend away!

Room 01 is a basement room. The damp smell hits you before opening the door to the room. The tiles on the bathroom have lifted, and stagnant water can be seen coming through gaps in the tiles as you walk over them. There is rising damp on the bathroom walls. Cold tap on sink didn't work. Bed was a makeshift folding metal camp bed.
Bedding and towels were damp to the touch. I genuinely would have walked away had I had any other option. Room was very small and narrow. Genuinely couldn't wait to leave.

To describe it as including breakfast is laughable. It was self service which would be fine if there were bowls and cutlery available. There was milk and juice and wine glasses? The bread tasted like cardboard. Drawers to put your dirty dishes in?

Couldn't get into the building, the van parked right outside had someone in it smoking weed. didn't stay and went home instead.

The web said we booked a Queen size bed and the reality was a small double bed. You could hear absolutely everything that moved in the house. People above started walking around from 5 am so couldn’t sleep since then. Small bathroom was clean but sink was outside in the room not in the bathroom just next to the main door and the towel handle was place the other side of the door. Awful.

Close to where i wanted to be, easy walk to shops, Unfortunately there was an Earky Start withthe DIY Maintanance man...8am, which was the down side of the prpoerty.

Not a great stay I’m afraid. The shower still retained hair from previous booking and the bed was very uncomfortable.
Most disappointing of all was the fact that I made several attempts to contact the hotel/duty manager to try to move rooms and despite calling/emailing the property I have not received any correspondence or reply.
I know it was relatively cheap but I would still expect to be comfortable and experience a positive customer service interaction. I didn’t achieve either.

Had an overnight stay to catch up with friends in the area. Whilst the room was great, the absence of breakfast impacted badly on my stay. A wonderful dining area was spoilt by the lack of food for breakfast. There was just about enough milk to make a cup of tea. Plenty of cereal around but no milk. No bread for toast but you have to admire the redundant toaster as it has ornamental value. Suppose it saves on hiring someone to clean up!! Had to buy breakfast on my way home which was an unexpected and disappointing surcharge, which took the gloss off my stay. Lesson learnt.

It would have benefitted better with a microwave and undercounter fridge.

Although not staffed, access worked well. Room was clean, comfortable and well equipped.
The only negative was the breakfast which was very basic and no one responded to a request for more supplies.

I think the description for this property would be better if made clear that this a budget property, in a residential area which is unmanned and basic.
The room was tiny, tv tiny mounted high on the wall, tiny single metal frame bed and bathroom facilities which are in need of upgrade.

We were not supplied with milk ,and there was insufficient furniture in the bedroom or bathroom, ie no chair or towel rail.

Everything was great, Value for Money. Looked a little jaded from outside the front door, but inside is nice, but take your own milk for cereal, there wasn’t any left by the morning

The room was absolutely fine! Was clean and had everything you would need, even tea and coffee facilities! I stayed here for a night whilst going out with work colleagues and it done the job, nothing to complain about.

Tidy and clean room, very friendly atmosphere. Was excellent for the price we paid and will definitely be returning.
