Firstly, when I booked an Annex room I wasn’t told in the confirmation that it was a totally separate building from the location on the map in the hostel listing. So when I arrived I had to walk up 5 flights of stairs in a hot building with no elevator to find the reception (why is reception on the 5th floor?!) only to be told I had to go to another building.
Second, the listing said share showers were included. It didn’t say you have to pay ¥100 for 4 minutes of running water (you can stop the water to pause the time). This wasn’t the end of the world but it would’ve been nice to know before I booked.
Third, the showers and bathroom smelled of mildew and people were being disgusting. The walls are paper thin and I was near the showers so I could hear people spitting and nearly vomiting they were hawking up stuff so hard, IN THE SHOWER. Disgusting!
Fourth, men were on the same floor as women so it really felt unsafe. The 2nd floor was painted blue (for boys I thought) and 3rd pink, and white I appreciate they threw gender stereotypes out the window, it was very uncomfortable to run into strange men in the halls.
Fifth, the neighborhood is so unsafe. There’s garbage all over the streets and it smells like urine everywhere. On my way there I easily passed about 25-30 homeless looking men lurking about. Some were sleeping, some were drunk, some were just standing in the road... I think there’s some sort of cafe facility nearby for them, but it really felt unsafe.

Unfortunately the place was pretty dirty, there was mould in the room, the shower and toilet.I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again and to be honest if you’re a girl traveling or even a couple of girls traveling I wouldn’t stay here as it was a unsafe area and the hostel didn’t feel safe either when in theory I should have felt safe enough to sleep.

Coin operated showers and a neighborhood full of homeless men stinking of their own urine were the only things that were unsettling about this Hostel.

-1. I saw the white and pink decoration room picture makes me to decide to stay at there but actual too was dark ivory with tuff surface.
-2. Smell of cigarette smoke in the room, hallway and every where even non smoke room. Also mold under the window.
-3. I had to prepare 100 yen coins for coin shower machine. There are only 2 coin machines each floor which means about 20 rooms share 2 shower every morning.

The hotel is quite difficult to find as they are 2 of them at different blocks although close to each other. From the outside the hotel looks a big rundown but inside is as clean as it possibly get. Staying there feels relaxing...if you're solo traveller.

It was a little cramped, but overall had all the essentials for a cheap trip with a friend.

I was a little surprised when I went to the shared bathroom that I had to pay 100 yen coins for four minutes of water in the shower. That is about $1. for 4 mins. I had stayed here before and they were not charging to take a shower, so that didn't feel too good since they don't mention it in the hotels.com advertisement. Also they have a shared kitchen where you can put your food into the refrigerator. My things were in plastic bags marked with my room number on. Two different times over three nights, my food and drinks were stolen. So much for safe Japan because I didn't see any foreigners like myself, just other Japanese guests. So if you don't like hidden charges and having to pay for showers and your things stolen, then this place is not bad for the price in Japan.

Good hostel for solo stay. The room is small but clean and air conditioned and has a window that opens. The bathrooms are clean. The shower requires payment (not much), but at least it's a private stall unlike a lot of japanese bath house style showers that some hostels and capsule hotels have. The hotel is located very close to a train station, a grocery store, Motomachi shopping area and Chinatown.Overall good value for the price.

I stayed for 5 days before. I enjoyed my all time with the accommodation.
Firstly, the price is good. I could save the money.
Secondly, I got 1 private room although it was small. I think it's ok because I just needed a room to sleep.
Finally, it is convenience because there is the train station near there.

Don't even try this. The service is bad enough in Japanese terms. If you arrive after 10pm, you'll be on your own, the guy answered the phone once shortly and then he didn't answer anymore. Next day told me it was closed already. Luckily enough I found a local guest that helped me to get whatever room was open. They attempted to charge me extra for that. I refused with an argument. The rooms smell like terrible, no changes after discussion with owner. You have to pay a hundred yen for 4 min community shower. This place is located in Yokohama, don't even try it if you want to enjoy Tokyo's action at night. A waste of time in hours of commuting, not fun after first day. Not counting if you get lost in perhaps the biggest metro system on earth. Pay the extra money somewhere else and avoid being ripped off.

Had some difficulties finding it as we missed the location on the tourist map and ended up with uunnecessary walking and time wasting. The room is small but clean with shared facilities. The internet was good

I arrived at 9pm for an overseas flight, but there was no one at reception, only a list for late arrivals to check in. Since my name was not on the list, I stayed in a nearby hostel for the first night. When I talked to them, they told me I was in another building, altough there was no way of knowing on arrival and no way to conract them. The rest of the condition was par, but their system proved very inconvenient in my case.
