Comfortable, small, but good value.

Beautiful B and B at the base of the Dingle Peninsula. Fabulous breakfast. Close to local pubs for dinner. Friendly hosts.

I only stayed one night but room was comfortable and clean enough. Bit old fasioned but what you would expect from a farmhouse. Would have appreciated more toiletrues in the room due to restructions in hand luggage on flights these days. Also i dudnt have time for breakfast as its not served till 8am and i needed to leave early for my drive back to dublin

Stayed here on my solo motorbike trip and found it really convenient as it’s on the Wild Atlantic Way route. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff are really friendly.

Amazing place, as are the friendly people working there. It's a bit like coming home. Very clean and comfy in the room, good breakfast, good performance on the Wi-Fi. Two pubs close-by. And so quiet outside.

Beautiful and quiet farm with the hills behind and a very short walk to the pub for a meal and a pint. Great breakfast but most amazing was the cows in pasture in the front on the property. Very friendly staff ( and cows) and beautiful comfortable room.

Very cosy and money feel.

Lovely spot. Friendly staff. Easy parking. 2 minute drive to great pub fare. Well located to transition to trip along Dingle Peninsula.

The location was great - walking distance to the restaurant and was very quiet. The owner let me check in early so I could do some work and gave some great tips on things to do. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and funky eggs for breakfast but overall a decent stay.

The check-in was a little confusing because no one was around but we found our key and then we found our room. The room was very nice and bed were comfy. Breakfast in the morning was good.

What a quaint little place. The location near the Ring of Kerry was convenient but definitely away from town (which we were fine with). Breakfast was nice and they were accommodating because we were hoping to get an early start. They were good about getting back to us through texting. It is an older B&B but just what we needed.

We arrived at 6pm. The property note states that there was no reception desk, the proprietor would meet us at the location. When we arrived we rang the doorbell no one answered the door. The door was unlocked so we entered and called out for assistance. After 20 minutes a lovely elderly woman greeted us and asked if we had a reservation. I confirmed our name and was handed a key. I inquired about payment and the woman literally waived her hand at me to brush me off. We brought in our luggage and left to see the local sights. The next morning at 930am a completely different woman knocked on my door demanding to settle up the bill stating she had someplace to be. I was confused as to why I no one was available to payment upon check in, but no big deal. The woman instructed me to fill out a webform on a laptop and disappeared. Transaction completed, I went back to my room. Check out on the website and literature in the room stated 11am. Another woman knocked on the door at 10:45am asking us to vacate the room because the cleaning staff was ready. I’m not sure why they would have a listed check out time of 11, if they expected the cleaning staff to start earlier. The room was fine, the property its self was fine. The staff were absent and rude. I would not recommend this property to anyone seeking an Irish Country experience. It was very clear that they wanted us to leave asap.

What a beautiful setting and house. The main room was spacious enough for the three of us to get around without bumping into one another. We heard the cows in the front pasture as soon as we awoke, but they did not wake us. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices. We enjoyed talking to people at the table next to us and hearing about their adventures at our next destination. The bathroom could use shelves for dop bags, tooth brushes and such. The hosts were friendly but not overly so. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Cute place with nice people. Just don’t arrive late. No dinner options after 8 p.m. We eventually found a take away place a couple towns over.

Our first time to Ireland, the Farmhouse was a great part of our drive along the coast. Quaint, nice people, quick walk to the bars/pubs.

Murphy’s Farmhouse
Pros:
Spacious for a family of 4. Comfortable beds. Quiet (except for the early morning thumping from the floor above us. Please be mindful of guests below you when staying in an older house)
Cons:
Very confusing check in. Some people travel solely with phones on airplane mode and rely on wifi. Difficult for us to check in here with no cell service. Relied on another guest to kindly help us by calling the owner. Breakfast was confusing as well. There is a charge but we weren’t sure what it would be. Staff was too busy to question. Check out was also confusing. Had to seek someone in the kitchen and give your credit card # and security code to them, a total st. Not ideal. In the end, with all the confusion, we were charged a higher price than Hotels.com stated. Location was quiet, which we expected, but there were not a lot of choices for dinner without a car. There were pubs close by but ultimately, we would not recommend either of them. Better choices down the road.

Lovely property. Big room, comfy bed. Recently remodeled bathroom with nice hot water pressure. Awesome breakfast. Easy parking. Ate dinner just down the road at the Anvil Bar. Convenient to the farmhouse and tasty.

Our two-night stay at Murphy's Farmhouse was the favorite lodging of the trip. Beautifully kept home with lovely front garden. Nice breakfast selection and very service-oriented team. A 5-minute walk to two separate dining options, although be advised that only one appears to be open for lunch (the Anvil). Castlemaine village is a 10-minute drive if you want more options. Murphy's Farmhouse is a perfect location for exploring Dingle peninsula! My only suggestion would be that some outdoor seating would be nice so that guests can enjoy the flower garden and local scenery. Highly recommend!

Lovely and well-run! Quiet, even with what seemed to be a full house (more than 6 rooms). Would stay here again!

They gave our room away. Told us some other guests decided to stay an extra night, so too bad for us.

This place is as quaint and lovely as the pictures show; we really enjoyed our stay here. Were able to get two rooms for our family, and really enjoyed the amazing home cooked breakfast every morning. For our evening meals, there was a pub just a stroll away. This was part of a larger trip, but this may have been our favorite place to stay in the whole trip.

Nice little hotel with nice staff an beautiful rooms - breakfast could be a little bettee, though. Also, they have a really old lady, probably part of the family, who followed us after we left the hotel because she didn,'t realise we had properly checked out...took some time explaining it to her, but luckily some other member of staff arrived ;)

I have stayed at Murphys Farm House a couple of years ago and I found it much improved. It is good value and the breakfast had a good range of choice along with the Full Irish. It is well situated for touring the various peninsulas like The Dingle and Kerry Ring and with a Pub Resturant doing good food down at the bottom of the road. The Wifi was also good.

Farm house was like stepping back in time, clean, very well maintained. Absolutely lovely experience. Mary greeted us upon arrival. Later she placed fresh flower arrangements in common areas. Her daughter in law whom we met at breakfast was friendly and provided great service

We just got home from 5 weeks in Ireland, England and Scotland. Stayed at several B&Bs on our trip and had such a wonderful time meeting our hosts at every place except this one. For us, the personal interactions and laughs absolutely made our stays perfect. However, when we checked in here, we were shown to our room, handed a key and that was it - all within about 30 seconds. By the end of breakfast the next morning, still no one had made an appearance. I actually had to find someone in the kitchen to take our payment before we left in the morning. The room was very clean and comfortable, but we really missed the personal experience.
