The host was really helpful and accommodating. The mattress was not very comfortable but overall everything was perfect. The property was walking distance to all the restaurants and pubs too.

Good communication prior to arrival as we were arriving outside normal check-in hours. Clean and comfortable facilities gave us a great night's sleep. Very good breakfast served by a host who was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Only there for one night as on our way elsewhere but definitely a place to use if staying in Penrith.

Room was immaculate and spacious. I was worried about parking but it wasn’t a problem as I was able to get a space outside the front, and the back if I wanted. If you need to check in later than 8/9pm it isn’t a problem; just give them a call and they’ll arrange it with you. Breakfast was decent too! The only negative (a very minor point) is that the shower head appeared to have brewer’s droop! Other than that it was fabulous. I would definitely stay again.

A lovely place to stay, very friendly host, comfortable and clean property. Very convenient for travellers going to/from Scotland. Parking available at the front or back of property. Walking distance to walk into town for restaurants. Breakfast at the B&B was very good.

Just spent a great couple of days in Penrith staying at Abbey House. This fabulous b&b is right in the heart of Penrith so you can park up and easily walk everywhere. Vicki, the owner, is so welcoming with lots of tips on local restaurants etc. The house is immaculate, I'm a clean freak and the place was absolutely spotless. We stayed in room 4 which was very spacious with a lovely ensuite and a very comfy bed. Breakfast is served in the attractive dining room with a good selection of fruit & cereals and a variety of cooked options. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back.

Very welcoming, Vickie was a fantastic host. Room was clean, bright and well equipped, as was the en suite bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay.

It was great. Friendly host. Clean and light decor. Fine breakfast. Sky telly. Very convenient location. Shower a tad small, bed a bit soft, wardrobe a bit lightweight. But great value, so no complaints.

Really friendly owner, room neat and clean and comfy and en-suite clean and good size. Little touches like a home made scone being left for me made it feel very welcoming. Breakfast was lovely too. Was only an overnight stop off but would definitely use again.

Vickie and Gary are wonderful hosts. Their B&B is super clean, very tastefully decorated with a wonderful personal touch. The location is just off the motorway so easy to find and central for Yorkshire and the Lake District. I would highly recommend this B&B for a short or longer stay in the area.

We stayed at Abbey house for one night ,3 if us shared a family room after our Trek fir Alzheimer's society. The room was very comfortable, really clean ,good facilities. With plenty teas coffes and lovely biscuits.Little small when having the 3 beds in use but value for money Vickie the new owner very friendly helpful and attentive Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.Dining area was clean fresh and homely Close to amenities in the town Would highly reccomend
