Our room used to be 2 rooms made into 1. Barely room to walk around the beds. Floors were uneven and if you laid something on the vanity, chances were, it would roll off. Staff was very nice which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2.

Convenient and comfortable

The rooms are... tiny. The savings, however, are humungous. Step back in time to 1976. Wood paneling, red formica counter. Room barely big enough for a queen bed. But it was comfortable, afforable, and we didnt spend any unnecessary time in the room, we'd rathwr be out enjoying Friday Harbor. Yes, they have the Orca costume on site, no you cant borrow it, we asked.

We love staying here, easy in and out, although the airport is close we didn't have a second of noisy intrusion. It's a basic hotel with no frills but all the essentials & all the rooms are floor level. The only thing we forgot about was there is no in-room coffee maker, but patronizing any of the multiple coffee houses is a pleasure anyway. Plus the grocery store is walkable, right next door!

This was a very simple, small room. It was clean, a bit out dated, but not bad. It was within walking distance from the downtown, which was great since parking was limited down there. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone asking and would stay again if we came back to San Juan.

The staff were friendly and courteous. the room was totally clean. But the Room was so small only one of us could get out of bed at a time. And the one chair had to be moved constantly so you could get into the bathroom or the bedroom. And the bed was very uncomfortable. Because of this we won't stay at here again.

Very simple and very wonderful. No frills except our hotel room had two bathrooms which was extra awesome!

Be aware the bed takes up the room but that’s clear from the pictures. Quiet area, nice check in staff.

Basic but very nice

This a great little place. No frills, but extremely clean and functional. For a third of the price of "normal" hotels on the island, it is a steal. It was probably our favorite part of the trip.

Simple place. Bed is rather, very very firm but manageable. We just stayed for one night. Simple check in and out. AC worked great.

Staff was friendly at check-in. Quiet location and room on the outskirts of town, a bit of a walk from the ferry terminal. Room was small but had what you needed, despite a funny layout.

The Orca Inn was clean and comfortable. We had a king room. We were able to get into our room a bit early after getting off the ferry. It was nothing fancy, but adequate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only problem was that we could hear our neighbor at 1:00 am.

VERY tiny and dated. The shower was new, but everything else was from the 60s. Nice area, and clean inside and out. If they could expand the room size and do a few upgrades, this place would be my go-to in Friday Harbor.

The Property was very convenient for our travel purpose. This is a good facility for basic accommodations. Best suited for single person stays.

The Orca Inn is cheaper than most places in Friday Harbor but that doesn't mean it's cheap. Friday Harbor in the summer is a very expensive place to stay. The location is good - walkable to most places. We appreciated that they checked us in early and the staff was pleasant. We also appreciated the air conditioning on an unusually hot day. We were disappointed that there wasn't an ice machine that could meet the needs of the guests. The internet was out the night we were there which was also disappointing. The TV is through the internet so we couldn't catch up on the news we had missed while we had been off grid for a bit. Also, one of the beds was sort of broken.

The interesting thing about this room is that it had two complete bathrooms, one on each side of the room. That was very convenient. The manager was very friendly and helpful with local suggestions. The location was ideal for exploring San Juan Island, and the price was decent.

Manager KJ (I believe that is her name) was very friendly and professional. Room was ok - clean but basic. Worth the price for summer with an easy walk to marina.

Sometimes all you need is a room with a bed because you don’t plan to use it but to sleep and it not cost an arm and a leg. This place was all that and even more! We planned on not being in the room more than sleeping and a micro-queen room was reasonably priced, and perfect for two people. Emphasis on the micro as it had a queen bed, but that was about all that fit, but it also had a window, mini fridge, ‘nightstand’ as the bed is against a wall and the other side has the toilet room, and even a desk and chair. Emphasis on micro as it’s a very tiny room, but perfect for our needs. The onsite manager was amazing and so friendly and helpful, the location was central and a quick walk from the airport or ferry terminal. The outside was clean and well kept and it a very comfortable area. The room was clean and well kept, even with the very limited room to move, the two of us slept, showered and got around each other easily. We are already planning our end of summer stay for the entire week! They do use old style physical keys, so keeping it with us and always locking the door was something we kinda kept in our mind. Plenty of space for parking; we didn’t use it but was convenient for each building. For being up against the wall we didn’t hear any of out next door guests while sleeping, occasionally a loud tv someone probably rolled over on by mistake. For the price it was easy for what we needed, a comfy bed after and day and night out in a convenient location & amazing staff

The inn was nice. Rooms are small but adequate for a quick stay. A overall clean, cozy, and satisfactory stay.

Cute old motel

It was quiet and safe, clean and quaint. Island is small that you are close to everything.

This hotel was cute and cozy. It was exactly what you would expect from an island inn. We had a room with 2 queen beds. It also had 2 bathrooms and 2 showers. The shower was a stand up only shower and seemed smaller than most. There wasn’t very much room to walk around the beds. These are not necessarily negatives, we enjoyed our stay and it suited us well. If we had smaller kids, I think it would have been difficult for them to have such limited space. It was very clean inside and out. We didn’t have any issues with it, we just wanted to share some info for other families.
