Ordinary commercial/tourist hotel. Comfortable rooms, good shower, pleasant front desk staff. Mediocre breakfast. Plenty of food but tasteless and not hot.

What worked well: breakfast very comprehensive, even for vegetarians / vegans. Location was good with a 10 min walk into the main town What was not good: room overlooked a carpark where people could see into the room (no net curtain), shower leaked, toilet was broken, flickering light in room, the lock did not work properly on the room, and room was not clean despite me asking twice on a single day for this to be. Was not worth the expensive rate of > £200 a night

The hotel located close to central station, walkable distance to all attraction spots. And the room is clean, the breakfast is a plus.

Phenomenal stay! This property was slightly further away from the very touristy parts of Bergen, but in close proximity to the train station and bus station (which features a light rail/tram stop to the airport). Main attractions in Bergen and food were a quick 10-15 minute walk - which was very scenic! The room was spacious compared to other properties we've seen in Norway and very clean - housekeeping came by daily (unprompted) to make the beds and provide fresh towels. The breakfast was bustling and provided a large selection of freshly made food. While the hotel restaurant, Roast, was closed during our stay, there was a lunch and supper buffet offered, as well as a small selection of food items available at the hotel bar. Very tasty!

Pros: delicious breakfast with lots of food options, close to the bus station, good bar lounge area for watching TV and relaxing Cons: very few electrical outlets and only 1 total near the headboard (had to unplug a lamp so that we would have 2 outlets), loud at night as the property is on a very busy road, warm in the room and the window doesn’t open very far to cool it down, light pollution in the room, small and awkward room with bathroom switch on the other side of the bathroom door so you have to close the bathroom door in order to turn on the light, this was our least favorite Scandic; would recommend Scandic Torget; wouldn’t stay here again

The hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly and the breakfast is amazing but if you’re coming during a warmer time there is no AC in the rooms and they get HOT. Also be very careful when you book because even if you select a 2 bed they might out you in a single bed which was not ideal.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Scandic. The breakfast spread was fabulous! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly. It was located in a quiet area easily walkable to main attractions. It is also located close to the train station.

Perfect location. Public transportation is just a few mn away. There is a shopping center close by. The city center is only about 20mn walk. Great breakfast offer each morning. Room service is great. Nice, clean, comfortable and quiet.

Property did not have any closet and safe in the rooms , I booked my room with Mountain View given 4th floor barely had any Mountain View’s ew except parking portion of small shopping plaza. They should be more clear and open on amenities they offer for international travellers . Do not recommend atall this hotel with it’s price level to any one

Very nice hotel in a good location in Bergen, particularly if you want to be close to train station. About a 10-minute walk to Bryggen and Mt Floyen. Great breakfast, clean rooms and pleasant staff.

The lighting was very poor. The room air conditioning did not cool the room. Breakfast was very good but warm plates & cups are needed. The location was close to the train station but not convenient to city center.

The property needs an update. The carpets are in need or replacement as well as the tv's. It would be nice to have smart tv's in this modern time. As usual the staff and food were both excellent.

This hotel is conveniently situated near the station Large room and large bathroom. Both in a modern style Beds are comfortable Staff is nice Breakfast memorable!

The hotel is a less than a 5 minute walk from the bus/train station. The receptionist was very helpful ( able to leave luggage for 2 days while we went on a train excursion). The upper corner room was spacious and clean. Water pressure was great. We were given breakfast treats in a bag to go, we checked out very early. A pleasant surprise.

Pleasant stay. Room comfortable. Breakfast options very good. Only let down was the gym, which was very poorly equipped and not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.

I stayed here with my son for 3 nights in separate rooms. Location: easy to access, but right next to the bus station with a busy traffic. The windows/ curtains are engulfing some of the noise, but if you need a good night sleep - you might ask for a quieter room in the hotel. Lobby and check-in was great, a bit slow as they have a new booking system and the database did not work well. Rooms: clean, comfortable beds but the furniture was wore down and the bathroom's door couldn't be closed, the ceilings / some panels were unstable and moving during the heating. My son could't sleep and had to fix the panels with his bag to stop the noise. Breakfast: really amazing, you could eat something with any special diet, very huge variety, fresh every day. The only thing that made us disappointed was a miscommunication about breakfast time: we were leaving the hotel on a Sunday morning and were hoping to get two sandwiches before we leave. I went to the reception on Saturday morning to request this and they said: breakfast tomorrow starts at 6:30 am. I was a bit uncertain and we asked it again in the evening and we got the same 6:30 breakfast. I was just hoping to have a quick bite before out trip BUT - the restaurant was closed - a kind woman was setting up the food at 6:45 but she said that they open at 7:30 ( this was on the elevators info as well) and she really couldn't give anything for us - saying that there is nothing ready. We left hungry and a bit sad after all.
