McDreams stated multiple times that there is free parking included in our stay, but when we got there we saw signs that stated there was a €35 fine/ ticket for parking there overnight. We called the hotel number provided to us, and they said it’s not a problem, to just park anywhere and put the parking pass from our room on our car dash, and we will not get ticked/ fined The next morning, we did get a ticket/ fine and when we contacted the hotel for help, they essentially said it’s not their problem we failed to read the parking signs warning us of a possible fine. This was a very misleading and unpleasant experience, because we were also using a rental which meant we had to pay double the ticket amount to the company which added up to over $100 Canadian dollars. Extremely disappointed.

A good place to stay at

The hotel is in a good location and the price was great. The room was spotlessly clean and the shower was very good. BUT - there are no staff on site to deal with any issues, just a phone number to ring. On arrival, we had problems accessing our check in code, which had been sent by email, due to a faulty phone. We were on hold in position 2 on the phone for over 5 minutes before finally hanging up and borrowing a very kind stranger's phone to access the email. The room has no air conditioning or fan and was unbearably hot at night. There were no staff around to ask to borrow one and the queue on the phone was ridiculously long again. All the rooms are on the first floor with a flat roof outside so we couldn't open the window more than a couple of inches while we tried to sleep as we didnt feel it was very secure. So, in summary, a good hotel for price, location and cleanliness, just stick a fan in the room and a few more folk to answer phone calls and it would be perfect!

Good value for money. And good location to tram and supermarket. Stayed for 5 days and the room wasnt cleaned so that could be improved. We had to find the cleaners for fresh towels and toilet roll.

You can hear the noise when the monorail runs during the day. Conveniently located where the supermarket, petrol station and 24h store within the complex. Free parking. Supplied amenities are limited. No electric kettle for a coffee or tea.

There have a supermarket near hotel, but there is not nice area. I saw some weird people around there.

The carpet really needed to be changed as it smells and grubby. Shower needed re grouting! Bed sheets were crisp and clean though. Luckily we only stayed a night just to go in the upside down trains!

Hot water did not come and the reception was closed whole time so I could not claim at the hotel.

Excellent price quality rating. Quiet and still close to highway. Will definitely come back.

Room was nice and clean. Close to restaurants and oil station. Parking was free and easy. There is no reception! You all do your check in and other thing by yourself.

Great place.

Stayed for one night. Easy to get to by Schwebebahn from Wuppertal Hbf. to Robert-Daum Platz and then approx 10 minute walk along well-lit road. Area felt safe even though I was alone and arrived in the dark. Receptionist spoke excellent English. Check-in was painless. Access out of hours was by coded door locks. Room small but perfectly formed with single bed, en suite toilet & shower, TV and useful tablet for looking up transport info/places to eat/things to do etc. Very clean, very comfortable. No aircon but not a problem in November (probably is in high summer). Ear plugs were provided, though not needed! Netto supermarket and choice of places to eat close by. Only negatives - curtains a bit thin and free wi-fi was incredibly slow.

McDonalds was just across the way ( good morning coffee ) and an Aldis type market was just a few hundred feet away to stock up on fruit water & snacks for the day. This hotel is located in a small strip mall with a Pizza place and a Chinese buffet also. There was ample free parking offered by the hotel. See photo below.If you stay in Wuppertal you MUST check out their suspended tram system as shown in the photo below. It even travels over top of the river ( Google Earth Wuppertal to see it from above).My single room very basic and way down the hall. Bathroom with shower was small but roomy enough for me.

Unusual location but no complaints about the hotel or its staff.

It was very hot. I thought the place had air conditioning but no. They did provide a fan which helped a lot. Liked the convenience of the location. I had a power surge on the outlets and they fixed it promptly

Ideal accommodations for solo, budget travelers. Very friendly staff. Many thanks for a great stay!
