Beautiful hotel with supportive, friendly staff.

Check-in took longer than expected, due to apparent washers being down. There was also people arriving for a wedding that needed to be helped. Once we finally got a room, it wasn't even the right one. I had booked a room containing 2 Queen beds, but was stuck with a single King bed room. And since the washers were down, very minimal towels. Room wasn't the cleaniest either, but manageable. Manager offered a free breakfast for the inconvenience, but breakfast was already complimentary.

Our stay was ok, but for the price we paid per night I expected better. The walls are VERY thin and it was VERY noisy! We were awake most of the night because of a dog barking on our floor and of course “downtown city life”. The lighting in our room was not very good and it was hard to ready in the bathroom
Because it was difficult to get good lighting. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was not good. We both had an omelette and they were not even done. The ham was cold and cheese was not even melted inside the eggs.

The person who checked is, wasn’t pleasant at all. You get more amenities at a least expensive hotel. Everything cost so much, never been to a hotel that charge you for WiFi. Had to pay for parking. No microwave in room, so couldn’t heat up food. View was horrible. Blinds wouldn’t go down.

Staff was incredibly nice. As soon as i walked in, i was greeted by a very friendly lady. She made me feel right at home. I wish i remembered her name, but i do remember, her favorite color was purple. We stayed on a thursday for tge Foo Fighters show. I would love to stay here again.

Just a couple things for guests that never been here.
1st off as we were looking where to check-in we were greeted by valet. Was not actually sure if it was part of the reservation (its not) $48 charge but also wasnt sure where we could park.
2nd we were booted from our reservation for a king room, probably because we booked with hotels.com and got a double room. It had windows to the main drag but seemed as if there were no windows at all. Heard all the sirens and the loud traffic all night long. Very nice staff and nice building for its age. The location was great for what we needed.

I loved everything about this property except that valet it 50 dollars per day and since I drive a stick shift they did not have a valet who could park my car. It remained in front of the hotel the whole night and I was still charged for this service.

Very nice hotel, clean and centrally located. The shower was terrible- either icy cold or scalding hot, and nothing in between.

Valet parking is the only choice for parking and it’s $48/night. Literally go with any other hotel in the area for a cheaper price. That being said, the hotel was outdated and dirty. Bathroom shower had mold in it. It took the water 5 minutes to get hot. The view is a side of a building. Just pass.

We enjoyed staying at the Renaissance Downtown Cincinnati hotel. The staff were very friendly and engaging. And the room was clean and inviting. The hallway did have an old smell to it but it’s to be expected with a century old building. Overall, we enjoyed our time and look forward to booking another stay in the near future.

A/c never cooled the room down. Loud music till at least 11pm and the walls are thin you could hear everything in the hall and outside. Would never stay there again with all the other options around the area. Only parking they had was valet parking and they charge it on to the room.

The actual hotel part was pretty good, the creamer for the coffee was curdled so wasted my coffee. Someone was knocking on our door at 9am to see if we had left yet. not cool. we went to the restaurant before our event and ask would we be able to get dinner when we returned at 11:30pm and they said we could eat until 1am. Sadly when we arrived, they said it would be a 30-minute wait. After 30 minutes they said the kitchen was shut down or not serving food for 30 minutes. after that they we done serving. we went without dinner that night. we are both 62 years old on medicine and can't take that medicine without eating. we will never be back.

The front desk was amazing as they held our luggage for both days, early arrival and late departure. Valet was friendly and prompt. Room was clean and my wife loved the comfort of the bed! If we return to downtown Cincinnati we will prefer to stay at your hotel in the future. Would love to know if you have any Reds or Bengal packages and we might be coming back soon.

I like everything about this hotel no complaints at all the staff was awesome and helpful and so nice . Will stay again if am ever in Cincinnati

Room could have been a bit cleaner/more tidy. There were no cups for the ice bucket, no extra rolls of toilet paper and you had to run the shower for about 20 mins before getting hot water. Bathroom door didn’t close nor the closet doors.

The hotel has a lot of character and the rooms are very clean and updated. Bathroom is tiny. There is plenty of space to open up and put a mirror/vanity out in the entryway but instead they stuck a coffee maker on a tiny counter. The bedroom and bathroom is dark because the sky rise buildings that wrap around the facility hide all the natural light.

The room could have been cleaned a little better. The chair in the corner was hiding piles of dust that hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. Needs to have more towel hooks in the bathroom. Housekeeping did not clean the room until sometime after 2:30pm
