Clean and front desk were approachable

Found bugs in the room, several times. Lamp shades need to be replaced, door needs to be sealed at the bottom amd holes in the curtains.

We paid $499 per night. It was not anywhere close to being a $499 a night property, Numerous bugs in the room, rundown, room door issues, clogged sink (although, the staff took care of it). Again, $499? We were extremely disappointed in the room.

Rooms look nothing like the pics. This is a tired, old hotel that has been painted way too many times (and awful colors btw). We had 1) broken toilet (had to take cover off tank to flush), 2) hole in outer bathroom door (looks like an elbow), 3) cockroach or two, 4) our room door was left open / ajar for the day after housekeeping came through, 5) sticky door. Good things: Big mini fridge, friendly housekeeper, ideal location to go to Pinehurst 2 and local bars.

This place was in terrible condition, we found a roach. The air conditioning didn’t really work, and the places was overall gross.

Very inattentive check in clerks. Said we had to be on top floor as they were booked. 3 cars in the entire parking lot all night. No water. Screeching noise every 10 minutes. Stains in one bed, stuffing coming out of the comforter in the other. Front door wouldn't shut all the way. Had to put clothes and pillows in window to block out anyone able to look in, blinds didnt cover window. No one to check out with. Had to check out eith maintenance.

Signage doesnt light up at night. Driveway in is not marked clearly, door didnt close properly, dirty socks from last occupants under heater.

Room was very clean but it was very, very noisy! It appears that part of the problem was that the door was not well insulated and did not close properly but the main problem is that the hotel is located on a major road!

I liked that there was ample parking. What I didn't like was, the property didnt have any towels or wash clothes by the time i checked in.

Check in: The gentleman was not friendly. Our room was roach infested. Called the front desk and he said he would get it taken care of. Noone showed. I went to the front desk on Sunday and another gentleman was sitting on the bench away from the front desk. I told him and he offered a room change. I said no because we left the next morning. I will not be staying there again. The cable line had short in it and the light switch for the bathroom had a bad connection. It was difficult to get the light to come on within wiggling the light switch. What a dump!!

Clogged shower (called front desk and they couldn’t understand what I needed), HVAC unit was noisily clicking all night, the towels felt like sandpaper…I suppose I now know why this hotel was so much cheaper than surrounding stays!

The room was good and clean. The bed was soft, too soft for me. The furniture is what surprised me. The desk was so wobbly i thought my laptop was going to topple it. The mirror was tiltednin a way that was obvious, and i looked for a camera behind the mirror (nothing seemed there). Trim was also peeling off the tv stand/refrigerator holder. The fridge almost fell every time I opened the door it was so out of balance. The microwave worked well, and it got the job done. Every staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was fine, just wanted more protein available.

Fetid pool and an unhelpful staff. Backed up by hotels.com’s absolute refusal to make anything right. Would not stay again. Would not book with hotels.com, Expedia or any other OneKey firm as they will take no responsibility for the accuracy or inaccuracy of their listings.

The first room I was signed had black mold in the bathroom. When I complained they moved me to another room but didn’t seem very concerned about the situation n the first room. Front desk clerk at check-in seemed bothered that she had to put her phone down to check me in. Staying here was a mistake.

The address goven throught the Expedia booking enail took me down the road to a dodgy service station. Took a while doing laps of that block before googling the address differently and finding the right place about a mile away.
Room old, bed barely made, towles/linen stained and rubbish still in the bin.
Good enough to sleep but not a comfortable place to be.

The smell here is terrible. As soon as we walked through the door to the hall our room was in there was a strong smell of cigarettes/marijuana in a supposed nonsmoking area. We left our luggage in the car because we didn’t want it to pick up the smell. The smell deterred us from doing anything here. We are only spending one nights get here and it can’t go fast enough. We do not recommend this at lace at all. Very disappointed.

Property was just okay, a bit run down. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall stay was fine but several things should have been better. Pool was closed because of a "permit" issue, looked clean and nice so probably something that should have been taken care of already. Dead bolt on door didnt work, a little unsettling when staying in a strange place. Breakfast was not great, the usual things were offered- cereal, waffles, muffins, toast, but when the initial small offering ran out it was not replaced. Outside lights were bright and curtains did not properly block out so it looked like it was still daylight.

My wife walked across the street to CVS to get cleaning supplies! The toilet seat was covered in urine when we arrived. The room was not well cleaned.

The AC was awesome and the amenities were just what I needed.
However, the things I didn't like were the signage to get into the place is small and unlit. Took me 30 minutes driving around to get into the place and actually found a way in thru the back. The other thing was the breakfast. Someone needs to visit Holiday Inn Express in the morning to see how breakfast is supposed to look like. Even scaled back from that would be an improvement.

Hotel room was not cleaned very well. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom from the previous occupant.
When I checked out, the person at the desk was unhelpful and rude. I asked for a receipt and he said he could not give me one because I booked the room through a third party. I’ve never heard of that before and thought it was a crock
