As someone who does not "like" all-inclusive resorts, this was quite a pleasant surprise. Overall an excellent experience. I mostly stayed in the adults only portion but overall. The service was quite good and the facilities were clean and beautiful (especially the "Edge Pool"). The food was better than most all-inclusives (still worse than "real" restaurants, in my opinion). The restaurant service was average (orders were often incorrect): but the staff were very friendly and rectified any issues quickly. The drinks were decent on the adults-only side but generally bottom-shelf on the family side. Ex. JW Red-Label on the family side, and JW Black-Label on the adult side. No Cognac on the family side but Hennessey and Martell on the Adults only side. Not a great selection of beer on either side though. Overall the drinks were good, just limited on the family side. The housekeeping service was absolutely excellent. Possibly the best I've ever experienced, including high-end paid hotels in major cities. New towels, re-stocked fridge, shampoo's etc. every single day without asking. Absolutely great service there. Staff is very friendly overall and was a pleasure to interact with. Please bring cash to Tip as it's generally expected. Lastly, outside the resort is very safe with lots of great nightlife immediately outside the resort gate (excellent clubs, dive bars, restaurants, etc.). Very safe island with taxi's available at the gate.

Staff and food were excellent, views from the property and room were beautiful and everything was always well taken care of! Would absolutely recommend! We had a great honeymoon here.

The overall was good-excellent!
Some areas smell weird :( Pools are nice.
Some staff are not that friendly. But, like to stand out Azul Rest servers, they were really nice and kind, very service oriented! Also Maxine, pool attendant, and the welcoming cart guy were very very attentive.

The property was beautiful. I wasn’t a fan of how it ran into the family side but it was easy to get away. There’s no true day or nightlife on the adults side but if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the resort for you.

Sonesta Ocean Point was absolutely amazing! This has been my first all inclusive and I was amazed on how it works. The staff was great and called to check on our stay. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be visiting again!

We enjoyed our stay! The food at Azul was wonderful, it was easy to get to, there’s always taxis out in front to take you to excursions or anywhere you want to go to, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly! We would highly recommend this to anyone!

Overall the property was sufficient for a few nights of stay. We selected the hotel based on a birthday party celebration that was being hosted on site.
The staff is kind and efficient. The food was so so. Many pools, very small beach areas without food service. The location is very close to the airport- so it was conviennent.

We booked the "Adult Only" resort but were disappointed non of the pools on this side had a swim up bar. Restaurants are limited. The only one we liked was Azul. The staff in general not too friendly or courteous. Only the staff at 2 restaurants were nice but buffet is okay. The food is not up to a 5 star expectation. It was below average for us. The resort has no activities or night shows to enjoy.
I am in general a bit disappointed because when i checked in i requested a 1pm checkout as my flight back home was at 4pm. I was told yes at the time and was asked to come to front deak at 10:45am on the day of check out to get a new key as the old one will not work after 11am. My husband went 1st and got a new key. I went fown at 11am and i was told my room is not eligible for late check out and was asked to empty my room soon as the key will stop working at 11am. I was confused with this miscommunication. I rushed back to room to shower and pack. To me this was not acceptable as all information given was incorrect. Looked like the resort front desk was not on the same page and too confused themselves. I will not come back to this resort or recommend this resort to friends and family. But one day we took a local cab and toured the city and that was fun.

I loved that our room had a beautiful ocean view. The beach was clean and had no seaweed but it is a public beach so there is no drink service on the beach. The restaurants were fine overall since I’ve stayed at other all-inclusives which the food had been cold. Room service was good. It was the only black coffee that tasted really good. I stayed on the Adult Only side but you were able to go to the family restaurants as well. Napoli pizza was very good and convenient bc it was open when main restaurants were closed. Was unable to get burgers or hotdogs at Oasis bc there was always a line. As for the room the water pressure in the shower was great and so was the AC. I do have to mention the lights would go out at least once a day but for less than a minute.

The property is not as advertised on the website. The pool chairs were filthy, you definitely had to use towels to utilize the seating. We lost power every day, several times a day. The air conditioning didn’t work efficiently for several days and I had to reach out to management to resolve the issue. I don’t think the pools are maintained enough for the amount of people who use it.

The property great! We stayed on the adult side with the swim out and everything was top notch. The only downside was the food. The food was 5/10 at best. However, there are great restaurants near the area some within walking distance. Special shout out to Serth, JoJo, and of course Smiley!! Thanks for the awesome stay!
