Check in was great. The room was nice until we pulled out the hideabed. It had a massive stain! Gross! Took a picture and promptly went down to the checkin desk and showed her the picture she also agreed that was not acceptable. Tried to switch rooms but none of them were what we wanted or needed. So she went looking for a cot or a different mattress but found neither one. She instead brought up extra blankets to cover the stain. It worked but was still gross. She tried so I don’t blame her but the cleaning crew should’ve done something about it. The pool area was also a little to be desired. But they are renovating so that will be fixed.

The jazzuci tub didn’t work

The room was fairly clean and staff were friendly. However the pool area was covered in rust, the children’s pool was extremely cold and the hot tub was extremely hot. There was a sign saying the pool area was under remodeling so hopefully they will improve that area soon!

Poor area needs some updating. Clean rooms and great area for breakfast. Good value for price.

Great place. Breakfast was delightful with a waffle maker, sausage, eggs, and much more. Very clean. Friendly staff. Right across from water park. Will stay again.

Carpets need to be cleaned. Our room had a funky smell. The shelves in the bathroom were dirty.

This property left a lot to be desired. The staff was very friendly and helpful, so they get top marks, and the price was descent, but the overall condition of the property and the overall cleanliness of the room were both sorely lacking. Not at all what I expected based on previous reviews and the hotel's overall rating. So perhaps my stay was an outlier. That said, the room we had for our stay was... Not really clean at all. And despite having the number of people using the room on the reservation, they didn't give us enough towels or the bedding needed for the sofa couch and we had to go request it. There was some type liquid smashed into the carpets in multiple places. I suspect fingernail polish... There were stains on the bed comforters. The screen on the window was distorted and torn up that we couldn't utilize the window at all. The TV didn't work. The chair and table in the room were covered in scratches and spots that had worn through the top layer of fabric, etc. There was also a lot of hair and other pieces of debris in the carpet and I wondered if they'd vacuumed at all. There were maintenance doors being propped open in the hallways with broken broom handles, the list goes on. It was a very tried and poorly cleaned property when we were there. So use caution booking here as I feel the recent state of the property may not be exactly as the reviews show.

We stayed for a concert at the Alerus center and it was a great spot. Easy to get to, quick walk to the venue, great breakfast!

The property was very clean and the room was spacious. The staff was excellent. Will stay there again.

The property itself was nice and conveniently located for our needs. It was disappointing we were not able to get into our room until after 4:30 even though check-in is clearly stated at 3:00.

Staff didn’t communicate very well after one told us we could extend our stay and then we came back to find a note on our door telling us to go back to the front desk. We had to rent another room. No communication was made beyond this post it note.

Not the LaQuinta Inn I was used to staying in. Elevator floors were discussing. Rooms were clean and mattress was good. Stayed five nights and had to request somebody to attend to my room once in five days. Breakfast was done at none in the morning during the week. Had several family members stay and they all said the same thing, never again. Front desk was unattended most of the time and the cleaning crew were outside smoking all the time. Place needs a manager.

There were old pop cans & wrappers under the beds. Pool area was dirty & no towels available.

The stay was great. The pool was useable but looked like it was under repair

Staff were friendly and accommodating, there was a bit of misshap during check in but it was easily addressed and fixed by the front desk person. Free breakfast was very nice perk. The pool area needs a bit of an update. We likely will consider this hotel again if ever we're on the area.

My family and I spend 4 nights which was really great the room was clean and fresh ,staff was friendly.i will would definitely recommend this hotel.

For a 2 star hotel, really was impressed. The amenities are great, pool and spa were perfect for family orientated trip. Stayed at ramada previously, but la quinta was very upscale from that from flooring to paint, id stay again but would prefer a suite next time due to family size. Yes the pool and spa is indeed under updates, but didnt hinder our experience

The room itself was very nice and clean. One of the TV's didn't work, but not a big deal. The swimming pool area was a bit run down and out of date. Over all a nice stay.

We stayed 4 days and they only cleaned the room after the first night then they ran out of towels. I was very disappointed usually when I stay that this hotel chain I always have a great experience. Unfortunately this one sucked.

This was a first time for bringing our dog to visit our family in grand forks. We loved all 8 days of stay. Clean, friendly staff, very accommodating manager. We will definitely stay here on our next trip.

The rooms were clean and fine for an overnight. The kids liked the pool area, however, I could tell that it needed some tlc. But it worked for the night!!

My family had a great experience with our check-in and room, however my sisters toilet didn't work and my other sister had to wait 3 hours to check in (past 3pm) and was not even offered a discount. So they had to squish 5 of them into our room with their luggage to relax instead of sitting in their car. I wanted to give a really good review, but how can they have so many issues and not offer my sister's family that had to wait a discount on their room after that hassle? Check in was 3pm not 6pm. They drove hours to be there just to have no where to go.

Not great. Only cleaned room once out of 4 days. Limited dining options. Day staff friendly, night staff was crabby.

The TVs didn’t work, there was something spattered on one of the walls and the carpet did not look clean. The bathroom was super clean though so that was good. Sheets were clean but the beds are super soft which made sleeping uncomfortable for us but some may like a soft bed. Breakfast was good!

Everything is great other than the pool area. That is do for a major renovation.
