Our go to hotel for overnight stays in Hilo. Friendly staff, locally owned, yes it's not upgraded, but very comfortable and close to everything. The pool is a big bonus.

The staff are nice.

Older property with the basic amenities(coffee maker, hair dryer, laundry on property). Nothing fancy but with an older Hawaiian vibe, very cool. Nice views of the harbor and easy walking to the wonderful Lili'oukalani park.

the only below great feature was the television service other than that everything was excellent

It was a short stay but I found the desk clerk friendly and accommodating and security/greeter (men sitting on chair by entrance) very friendly. The rooms were clean, orderly, and comfortable. Could use some cleaning and updating on the outside of the room areas. I would staying here again.

Enjoyed the breeze from the bay. The beds were comfortable and it was close to the airport. Lovely location.

We loved our stay. It was an older hotel, but we felt very safe. The staff were always friendly as they welcomed us each time we arrived or left for the day. We would stay again if we visit Hilo again.

good view to ocean and forest

This is a very nice place to stay on the edge of Banyan Drive in Hilo. The staff are excellent. The facilities are a little out of date -- but I like it that way.

Property is located directly on the water. Was a little warm in the room but fans helped out. Older hotel but worked for what we needed.

Stayed 2 nights at this very nice and calm hotel. Hotel grounds and building are just a little aged but the interior of the rooms are nice and clean

A very nice property for our 4 night stay and well located in Hilo. It was a bit dated and I thought we would miss AC, but we were so near the ocean that the breezes and sound of the surf was wonderful.

Although the hotel looks small and 1960ish, I can sense the Hilo bay's old glory，which is kind of exciting. The staff are elder locals, very down to earth and easy going. The location is right next to a public bay front park where you can see local people having picnic and kids doing all kinds water activities. The room has no A/C and can get a bit warm in the afternoon because of the sun. But it's nice and cool in the evening and the waves are very soothing to hear. The sink, microwave and fridge are very convenient and clean but I didn't get to use them.

Other than the lack of air conditioning, which really was not too bad, this hotel is a great stay for the cost. We would stay here again.

The place is not very welcoming. It seems almost like apartments with open rooms for rent for hotel. Was a little unsettling

Hotel staff were great and very helpful. Check-in was easy, all the necessary amenities were there. The rooms are a bit dated, but we were only sleeping there as there is so much to do around Hilo and the east side of the island. Would definately recommend

It was quiet and convenient

Older property with slightly outdated facilities but spotlessly clean and in a great location close to some dining facilities and the park. We were on the second floor and although there was no A/C, fans and opening the windows made it light and airy. Quite spacious and nice to have a microwave and coffee maker in the room. Very good value for money.

The room clean. It had a coffeemaker, hair dryer, and utensils for cooking . None were used on this trip.

The website had filtered pictures. We showed up and I was shocked and didn’t want to go in. Exposed wires on the ceiling and no AC. It’s a very ruin down hotel
