It is like a small, beautiful oasis amid the still very evident earthquake devastation...we were very happy that we chose Mama Bella’s Retreat. Only downsides are the extremely loud broadcasts from the mosque in the near vicinity, often joined by others close by.

The personal service from staff was the stand out feature, location, and lovely pool grounds also rated very highly. Staff arranged scooters for us (at a steal $5per day), but even without scooters this is totally walking distance from the Main Street. I loved the chanting from the mosque throughout the day (bring ear plugs if you’re not keen on the early morning chants).

Second visit here, we promised ourselves and it’s a piece of paradise. Amazing gardens and pool, lovely individual bungalow with own seating area and all overlook pool. Staff are so friendly and genuine, guests too. Despite the visible damage from the earthquake the lack of tourists has taken its toll on the restaurants and many hotels but everyone is positively trying to bring the tourists back to this wonderful place and whilst there is a little less choice around with local business’s it’s all happily happening here in Senggigi and at Mama Bella’s. Definitely would come back for third time.

Mama Bella's was an absolutely amazing oasis in an unfamiliar land. A family-run business, the staff have a keen eye for detail and are customer-focused. The property has great amenities, including a pool accessible at all hours, sun chairs, bean bag chairs, and two hammocks. All are free of charge. The property is tucked away in Senggigi but easily accessible if one has Google Maps. The property is about a 10-minute walk from the main area in Senggigi. While breakfast is provided (very delicious by the way), you will need to head to main street for food. The immediate surroundings around the property is generally residential, but there are a few mosques around, which do have readings of the Koran happening over a loudspeaker well into the night. The rooms are good at being sound proofed, however, some sound does come through, so if you need peace and quiet, suggest to bring earplugs just in case. The rooms are spacious and equipped with good wifi. The washroom inside the room has a sit toilet and hot water. Note not to turn the shower on a full pressure otherwise the hot water runs out in about 2 minutes. Overall, a great place to stay in Senggigi. Very good value and would recommend to anyone.

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms. We initially planned to stay for a night but once we stepped into the surroundings which were so relaxing and beautifully designed we decided to extend our stay by another night. Breakfast was enjoyable and it was easy to order in food for dinner from almost all the restaurants/warungs in Senggigi. Location was perfect too, very central and walkable to the main street of Senggigi.

Okay. It is about a 1o minute walk out of town. This is not bad thing as town can be very loud in Senggigi. What is quirky is it is beautiful but located up a very local back street and you are going to have your sense tested. Stay. You won’t regret

Short distance to nearby town by foot. Clean room. Very friendly staff. Delicious home cooked breakfast.

Aircons need to be serviced. Stayed in 3 rooms altogether and all of their aircon was extremely noisy and hardly cooling, causing the room to be damp and smelly

Gorgeous boutique retreat just off the main road in Sengigi. Lovely staff and friendly service with great pool and lovely views to hills and coconut forests. Only issue was the regular prayers from the nearby mosque during Ramadan and the fact we werent provided with pool towels. But this is a great place to stay if youre in Sengigi

She made me feel safe, after knowing i was on my first solo trip.My first impression of the hotel location was uh oh cos its deep within the local home area and it feels quite dark. We loved everything about the hotel. The staff especially was very friendly and helpful. The location is ace as it's close to the main road and also the beach. The beach is around 20 mins walk from the hotel, the main road around 7-8 mins. We wished we could have spent more time here. Maybe next time.

Overall very good stay. Johnny made our stay even better with laughs, good advice and general care taking of us and other guests. The location is alright, its easy to commute with a cheap scooter rental for 50K per day

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about here. Yes the staff are very nice and friendly but the room itself was mediocre. Nice bed but cracked tiles on the floor and one rusty chair. It would be an easy upgrade to redo the floors. The bathroom was upgraded and looks lovely All in all a pleasant stay but a mediocre room

we had a great time at mama bellas the staff were freindly and accommodating. breakfast was basic but ample. the pool was really nice and very clean in a lovely setting for relaxing and enjoying the suns rays. the only issue we had was the proximity to the local mosque which gave everyone an extremely early wake up every morning with the call to prayer.!...obviously we appreciate this is something that cannot be changed by the resort however it would have been good to know this before we booked.

Nice clean cottage,Bad location. Booked and pay for two nights, stayed for one, Running water issue due to water pump. Location close to Mosque, Pray on loudspeakers. 10 minutes walk through unpaved road to main street for restaurants and 20 minutes walk to beach. No beach towels. Moved to another resort on beach close to restaurant.

We had a fantastic time at mama bella's. Located about 3 minutes walk from the main road in segiggi with its resteraunts and shops. Walking through the front door feels like walking into an oasis of tranquility and relaxation. Beautiful gardens and a great pool to chill around. The breakfast is also very good. Clean rooms with some great touches, unlimited drinking water, tea and coffee making facilities, soap dispenser in the shower etc. The standout for us was the friendly australian owners Fatima and Glen. Without being obtrusive they were a mine of information on restaurants and local sights. Always happy for a quick chat or to share a beer with at the bar before going out to dinner. We should also mention their friendly and helpful staff. Overall a great place to stay.

New, clean and a very relaxed vibe. Staff went out of their way to help you with any query. The bar in the evening is a great place to sit and chat. Would recommend .
