The property is very well licated in thebheartbof the historic centre. The property offers very clean, large and nice rooms. Perfect for longer stays. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Great location for stopover when using Lille Europe or Lille Flanders, very easy walk from both. Welcoming, comfortable and the room we had gave a great view of the St Maurice church tower from the bed and the bathroom!

The room was renovated and clean, but it smelled a little like paint. Receptionists are kind and friendly. Building is very old.

The hotel was convenient to walk to from the Eurostar station. It was easy to get to the main square for the Christmas market. Breakfast was good though there was a selection of cafes not too far away in which to get a café and croissant. The room was small. There wasn’t much room to get in and out of the bed. The bathroom was large and airy.

This is a fantastic hotel in the rich tradition of European hotels. The public spaces are comfortable and welcoming, there were several couples playing card or board games upon our arrival. The Staff are very good, very helpful and always ready to offer directions or suggestions. The location is ideal, close to the main square, shopping and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and very clean.

It’s a very competitively priced boutiques hotel, as they say in politically correct English. The location is good, and the staff is supper friendly, but if you are looking for more convenience and better amenities, I would choose something else.

A winner in location and friendly service! I would definitely stay with them again if I return to Lille! Clean and eased my worries about the recent bed bugs news. I had a good rest which was the goal of this trip! Thank you for having me!

Check in was a little uncomfortable as we were told that we owed for two nights even though we had already paid for one. We weren’t given any information ie Wi-Fi code etc no breakfast included even though it was a hyped price due to rugby World Cup time

This is a wonderful old Art Neuveau place, well-maintained, updated as to plumbing, etc., and featuring a vintage elevator that gets you and your luggage where you're going. We had a view if St. Maurice (next door,) that couldn't be beat, and found that everything we needed was close by in the shopping streets and shady squares of Lille.

Wonderful friendly hotel in traditional building next to fabulous church, right in centre of Lille. Delicious breakfast. A vibrant area, with sounds of local life.

There were seven of us staying in Lille at The Bruegel hotel all having separate rooms. The check in was very good and efficient. The Bruegel hotel is well situated in the city only a 10 minute walk from the Eurostar station and easy access to the metro. There is plenty to do in Lille, shopping, sightseeing the Palais de beaux arts is well worth a visit. Lastly, there are many restaurants so there is no need to go hungry.

Average 3 star hotel, clean, very helpful friendly staff and good breakfast. The rooms are small we asked for a change of rooms because of late night noise at the church side of the hotel, this was dealt with by staff with very well by hotel staff. All said a comfortable city centre hotel.

First, the bad. This hotel is very basic in what a hotel is supposed to offer: a place to store your belongings, to sleep for the night, and to maintain oneself (bathing, toilet, etc.). This hotel provides these things, but only just enough to pass. For example, there's a bed, but no headboard. There's a shower, but barely enough room to turn around. There's a desk, but it's tiny. As I said, the basics are all there, but it's all just barely passing. Another negative are the thin walls. You can hear others in the rooms above and adjacent. For me, it wasn't so bad during the day when everyone is out and about, but you could hear everything. This can be problematic if you're a light sleeper. A final negative is the wifi. I could only connect one device at a time, so I had to choose between my phone and my laptop. But now let's get to the good stuff. The first thing is the location. This hotel is literally in the middle of it all. As soon as you step outside, you could go any direction and you'll be on your way to the sights and sounds of the city. This hotel is one block from where the "main" action is in Lille, and about a 10 minute walk to Vieux Lille. Next is the staff. The people who work at this hotel are absolutely wonderful. They're very welcoming and friendly. With 62 rooms, I was impressed that they remembered who I was and what room I was in. So, in all, if you're just using your room as a place to store your stuff, sleep, and shower, this hotel is a great choice.

We had a nice stay last weekend. The checkin was very efficient, all of the staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. Our only issue is that you can hear other guests very clearly in the hallway at all times of day and night. Otherwise, it is comfy and great location for getting around Lille.

Most expensive hotel of our 3 week trip and smallest room. Also tiniest lift I've ever seen.

Although the rooms are small they are clean and enough for a few nights stay. Would have liked a kettle but plenty of cafes around instead. The hotel is in a fantastic position with all the town easy to access by foot.

The hotel is located in the centre of Lille, it’s very convenient. However, the soundproofing is quite bad, we can hear the conversation in next room.

All we needed for the weekend was within easy walking distance of the hotel and the Eurostar station was a ten minute walk on pedestrian only streets. A very quaint old hotel with some modernisation. Standard rooms are small but OK if you’re not spending a lot of time there.

Quaint. Well located. We were able to walk to the Palais Beaux Arts. Small, working lift, but steep stairs. Small rooms. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Very pleasant place, and centrally located in the town. Quite small, a little quirky - tiny lift for instance. Staff on reception very welcoming. Rooms fine but not exactly huge. We had a "superior" room - our friends standard rooms were quite small. We did find on the last day that ours had a damp patch behind the bed where water was seeping though the outside wall, which was making the pillows damp - we did report this, but it wasn't good. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon. Pleasant breakfast, although the buffet area was crowded and the tables rather squeezed in. One of the staff on breakfast duty could do with a little training on developing a welcoming attitude! But it wasn't a big deal. Overall, it was quite good value. I'd be happy to recommend and to return.

We stayed at rue ghee hotel for 3 nights for a long weekend in Lille. It is very well located being very close to the Vieux Lille, the restaurants and the sightseeings. Our room was facing the square and it was warm, so with the window opened it an get noisy. Most staff were welcoming but not all! Hotel has a old charm but rooms could benefit from a refurbishment especially the bathrooms.
