The hotel was locked and looked abandoned, it was 100% the right building. I wasnt able to get in so I had to book another hotel on the spot and couldn't even get a refund.

This place may look acceptable from a distance, since it's near other modern, developed businesses. But this place is an oasis of run-down businesses.
It appears that most of this place is inhabited by people who live there long-term. Staying there will be offensive to all your senses:
Sight: The grounds are filled with litter, and buildings are not maintained. Everything down to the lampshades is old and shabby and badly in need of replacement.
Sound: Long-term residents play music loudly. At 11:30 pm in the hallway outside our room, a group of kids, including a baby, were hanging out, keeping us awake.
Smell: Even though our room was non-smoking, we could smell stale smoke and other dirty smells from the hallway from inside our room.
Touch: Bugs (ants, cockroaches) were all over the bathroom, and the sight of them will make your skin crawl.
Taste: The third-party booking website I made my reservation through said the hotel served breakfast. It did not (ended during covid).
The funny thing is: We had a reservation for 2 nights. After the first night, we told the front desk person that we would like to check out early. He gladly allowed us to do so and granted us a refund - all as if he knew that everybody discovers how awful the place is after a short stay! He gave me a mini lecture about how the reservation was non-refundable but would do it anyway, and I wanted to argue that the place was uninhabitable and should not have been, even if it was a luxury hotel!

Nothing unique, poor service,washer is broke and left my clothes dirty and soaking wet and front desk didn't have quarters to dry my clothes and no one brought clean towels. Staff is rude

Terrible! Roaches are all over. I stayed the weekend from October 13-15. I told the front desk that my tv doesn’t work, I had a weekend of no television and once again, ROACHES. Turn around and run away from this place.

We reserved the non-smoking room and they gave us the smoking room for the first night. The room is dirty, no trash and very old. There are cockroaches and smells.

DIDN'T even stay there thank goodness !!!!!!!!!!!! The front desk idiots were nasty, the office what its worth was dirty. This place should not be listed as a viable place to stay. I wouldn,t let my dog stay there.

This place was full of roaches and had a horrible nights sleep, ended up killing about 30 roaches while I was staying there they were all over in the cabinets, in the dresser, on the bed, and generally not a clean room.
Also, the television did not work and had no signal and Management was not cooperative and helping out at all.

When I arrived, it is two hotels that are under the name. There are people all hanging out of their hotel rooms and lingering around. It felt unsafe but we needed a room. He gave me the key to the room in the office. It had a bad smell when we went up to the room the whole building had a bad smell. There was a roach on the door and as soon as you walked in the lights to the hotel room did not work, except for in the bathroom. when I turned on the light in the bathroom, several roaches scattered across the floor we instantly took our bags out. I went to the Desk manager he said he didn’t have any more rooms to give me which I was completely fine with because I know if one room has it they all have it and so he said that he would issue me a refund no problem whatsoever so I was appreciative of that at least. The pictures on Expedia are not accurate on this hotel

They need to upgrade and have a more cleaner room. It was horrible. This should not be offered to people. Dirty broken furniture people doing drugs in there cars. Never will I ever reccommend this place

When I arrived my reservation we cancelled without any notice or explanation explanation. Thank goodness Expedia found me another place to stay. The hotel was filthy and run down. Transients all over the place. I did not feel safe. I would’t recommend my worse enemy to stay there.

I’m just writing this review now, almost 5 months later. I’ve been meaning to do it to warn everyone before it was too late. But I just never got around to it. I didn’t read the reviews before I went there. But because of this hotel, I now read as many reviews as possible before I make a decision. This is the original ROACH MOTEL. I booked a king room at this hotel for 2 nites. Because of an emergency, I didn’t go the first nite. I. Called the hotel that nite to let them know that I would be there in the morning. The money was already taken off my CC already. Hanging at my mom’s house, I didn’t get there until the evening. The guy behind the window tells me that he doesn’t know whether he has that room anymore. He tells me that I said I was coming in the morning. I Informed him that I had a family emergency going on. But despite that, no matter what time I went there, the room was already paid for with my money. So the room should’ve stayed empty for the time it was paid for. He game me the last room he had left which was a Queen room with no fridge or Microwave or toilet paper. That wasn’t the type of room that I paid for. He tells me that I didn’t request the fridge or microwave. I reminded him that the advertising stated those things. Why did I have to request? Anyway Roaches Galore. I stayed at a resort that week. But I had to keep all my things at this hotel also so that I wouldn’t be bringing roaches back with me. I went thru everything before I put them in the car.

First room had dripping faucet. Next room broken bath door, fridge questionable. Hallways dirty. People & pets living there….no breakfast as advertised

Horrible. Bad experience, they canceled the resveration on the way to hotel, not trust worthy, poor customer support. Will not recommend to any expedia customer. Please take out from your list.

The room was very different than the pictures online. It was rundown, dirty, with stains on the walls and ceiling (pictures available upon request). The bathroom door was locked, when I informed the check-in person, instead of being helpful and trying to find a solution, he was accusing me of locking the door, and trying to create problems.
I have used Expedia many times, but I am very disappointed by Expedia for not verifying the accuracy of the service they sell. I tried to call Expedia’s customer service multiple times but they “have technical issues, please call back later”.
You can call me anytime to make things right!

We left and got our money back. Not for travellers. Many of the room are full time residents and not clean ones. We were in our room for 7 minutes, the roach in the tub was the last straw. Besides the smell and the condition of the room, the pictures they provide are NOT what it looks like. Nothing like it, fake pictures.

This places non smoking rooms are basically smoking rooms I could not even sleep with the disgusting smell. I went to my car. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. You get what you pay for but here you get even less.

there were cockroaches, dirty towels, the bed is unmade, it seemed that someone had slept before, there was no coffee maker, no micro-way, a giant fridge that didn't let me sleep because I thought it was a rat, it was a nightmare. I hope I never stay there again, not by mistake, not even for a dollar.

The hotel has seen better days. It would seem that they have long term residents, along with water damage from the floods that hit not too long ago and was never repaired. The “keyed” entry to the guest rooms was broken. The hallway carpet was stained and disgusting, towels, food, stains and detritus was on the floors and walls, i get to the room and the glued down linoleum floor had a oily feeling through my shoes, like the back of house at a bbq restaurant when you dont have non slip shoes on. The bed was comfortable but i didnt trust sleeping under the blanket. The bathroom had stains that I couldn’t comprehend in the bathtub, a huge hole behind a vent that was not screwed in but held on by the trash can in front of it. You could tell where there used to be a twin bed headboard that was removed…. It was sketchy. Lastly checkout was advertised as 12, and at 1030 housekeeping knocked on the door asking when i would be leaving. All in all, i wont stay there again.

The room was absolutely filthy look like it had never been cleaned. The hallway and the room smelled musty and the carpets looked like they had never been cleaned. The smoke detector needed batteries and beeped all night long. The furniture was dusty, the refrigerator was sticky on the inside and had never been cleaned. There wasn’t even a chair in the room to sit in. Horrible, horrible place to stay. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone!!!

I booked a room at the Scottish Inn and was put in a room at Red Carpet Inn. The room phone didn't work. Only 1 lamp worked. The staff are clueless. Dirty towel and trash left outside the hallway. Toilet didn't flush right. The fire door to our room would slam shut and not shut slowly. Very disappointed. I stayed there to be close to my aunt for my uncle's funeral.

We got there the guy was very rude. And he told me he didn't have any reservations for me. I showed him my confirmation number and reservations,he said sorry don't have ya and I'm booked. Very unhappy. Don't recommend this place at all

We consistently choose hotels in this price range, and thus our expectations are modest. Generally there will be something about a room that fails to meet them, but it's forgiven. In this case there were enough points below the bar to merit a mention:
- The room heater cycled on and off throughout the night at a noise level of a turboprop airplane taxiing back & forth outside the window. No setting could be found to stop it. OFF was not an option, given outside temperatures.
- The Hot/Cold settings on the shower were reversed, but it didn't matter; at no setting would the water temp stay consistent, vacillating between too hot or too cold. Well-timed dancing into and out of the stream was the only option.
- Can a toilet experience ennui? This one took three flushes to do a modest job.
- The TV turned on but displayed "No Connection"
- Small points: Cigarette burn holes in the blanket and top sheet. Toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Fake glass tile contact paper backsplash was peeling off the wall. We avoided the area where suspicious brown matter was ground into the carpet. No nightstand on the port side of the bed.
- Things that worked: WiFi, Microwave, and refrigerator (-ish).
As my subject line suggests, perhaps if someone from the hotel spent each night sleeping in a different room, issues like these wouldn't compound into an unpleasant stay.
