We enjoyed our stay at El Carmen Suites. We were welcome with a refreshing drink-which is a nice touch. The room is spacious, clean and the staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and you have so many options. The view from the terrace is spectacular! We witness the volcano Fuego erupting. The lush greenery is beautiful. The room gets stuffy so a fan definitely helps. Some guests kept their doors open since it gets so hot in the room. If you ask, the staff will gladly get you a fan. The only issue is a foul smell that comes from the septic system at certain times of the day but since we mostly spent the day out it was not an issue but we did notice it when we return to the room. Overall, great price, location and service. I would definitely recommend.

The climate was warm, the room has very little ventilation and one of the rooms had NO fan on it. Not a comfortable night to sleep in.

Beautiful and traditional small boutique hotel!! The only bad thing no all the rooms include AC, ours only come with a fan.

This property was beautiful period the room is really accommodated. A family of 4 period it was spacious. Everyone had room for their belongings period we did not feel cramped at all period the bathroom was also very big and spacious. Appreciated the convenience of the hot and cold water at this location. Period the staff was also very kind and always helpful period the breakfast area where they serve also dinner was beautiful and had amazing views period the way that breakfast is included really was helpful and the food selection was had a wide variety. Period uh, we did walk to several shops outside of the hotel period he could really find anything in in that location period
Landmarks that we went to go see or within walk range, and it didn't take as long to get there period we really enjoyed our stay here and we'll book again in the future. Period we'll also be recommending this location to family and friends

Best thing was staff which was super friendly.

*No ventilation and small window.
*Room was excessively hot.
*Parking located 2 blocks away.
*Wasnt expensive ($90 dbl room) but there are better deals around and they wanted to charge extra for 8yr old child when booking page cleary states "children under 10 stay free when occupying room with parents and using existing bedding"

This hotel has to be on everyone list ! He booked most expensive room which had air conditioners! The have what up and you can contact them anytime and they answer right away ! Excellent service ! Excellent people and stuff ! Great job ❤️

El Carmen was amazing. The staff were kid, helpful and accommodating. I was able to check in ealy and leave a little later. They were so kind to make me a little breakfast to go baggie when I had to leave before the breakfast opened. They were just so warm and friendly.

Good mattress, linens, pillows, towels, toiletries, breakfast, parking, rooftop drinks and view. Definitely should've asked for a fan earlier in the stay, as it made a big difference.

I liked the location of this hotel because it was walking access to the places I wanted to visit in Antigua Guatemala. The Customer Service was excellent, the crew was very helpful and courteous. In my opinion the choices of food offered in their Restaurant need to improve in flavor and quality.

Staff was wonderful and helpful in finding day trips and coordinating transportation from Guatemala City airport. They did not speak much if any English, but we did use translate options to communicate.
The room was very small and noisy - we were on the main level by the courtyard.
the restaurant was very nice on the rooftop with good view of the volcano. food was ok and a bit pricey for what it was. Not many options for GF, DF, meat free.

The staff was eager to serve and helped two non-Spanish speaking tourists to more abundantly enjoy our stay in Antigua. We will always remember the morning desk clerk who bid us adios by sharing her blessings and prayers for us which she had translated to English on her cell phone. A genuine Guatemalan angel!

Loved the stay. I booked the smaller individual room but it was very comfortable. The staff was nice and very attentive. Be aware that since it's very quiet, you might want to bring your earplugs if you have a light sleep or difficulties to fall asleep. Overall, it's a beautiful place.

Great place, loved the terrace bar/resteraunt and the courtyard. The staff were freindly and helpful. Only thing I didn't enjoy was the noise, could hear traffic and other guests in the courtyard all night.

This is a beautiful location a small walk to the center of Antigua and feels very safe. Rooms are big and breakfast is very good. Beds are not the softest BUT the best from most rooms I had in Guatemala.
