I had a wonderful experience at Hotel La Selva! All the staff were terrific. Jackie, the manager, booked day trips and overnight excursions for me that turned out great. Percy, Mia and all the other front desk staff looked after me and made sure I made the most out of my Hanoi visit. Nom, from the restaurant, always provided a tasty breakfast with a smile. I highly recommend staying here as I totally enjoyed my stay!

Great little hotel right near a lake. Lots of food nearby. The staff is very attentive and helpful in booking day trips and other activities. Breakfasts were delicious. Mr Jackie Le and the staff should all be proud. I will look forward to coming to stay again.

This is a great hotel with very kind and professional staff. Hotel is very clean, excellent breakfast and top notch location. Manager Jackie Le helped me with the tours, airport transfer and was there to answer all my questions. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe. I must add regardless of hotel being in the center of old quarter rooms are very quiet. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this beautiful hotel, do not look further this is the hotel and location you want to stay in Hanoi. Big thanks to the wonderful staff and manager Jackie Le.

It was a room without a window so I felt a bit creepy.

The reception staff were very helpful. Especially Joy. The location is excellent. The breakfast service was good to.

Good: close to the lake, which is the only safe and nice place to walk around without being hit by a motorcycle. Breakfast on the 9th floor had views of the city and was good. Staff spoke good English (rare for Vietnam) and were very helpful. We asked for a cruise to Halong Bay and were given a quote. We ended up booking online with another operator but then we got charged extra on a boat, we should have used hotel recommendation, would be less hassle and same money. Very comfortable bed and good AC. Water, tea/coffee, and some fruit daily. Not good: Outlets were old and not all of them worked. Do not open the window - it smells toxic CO2 from the street. Got a call at 4:30 am from receptionist who messed up the rooms and needed to wake up another guest. I could not fall asleep and didn’t feel well all day. Breakfast croissant: sometimes they warm them up in the oven and they are delicious and sometimes they served them white and cold. Wi-Fi in the breakfast area is very slow. If you are looking for luxury, this is not a place. Look further away from the Old Quarter, will be calmer and more ‘normal’ experience. It is way crazy, dirty, and noisy in the Old Town.

Good location, few steps away from Hoàn Kiếm lake. Property is aged but ok for staying 2 nights. Room was clean, but the towels were overwhelming scented. Breakfast was good, phở dish was simple, delicious and aromatic. Enjoyed our breakfasts there. Staff was helpful.

Excellent hotel in great location, lovely and helpful staff, great communicators. No complaints whatsoever!

High rating for the staff and low rating for the room as there are ants in the room and the issue can't be fixed after we reported the issue and we have been seeing ants everyday throughout our stay in this hotel.

The staff are really nice & friendly. The hotel is convenient located in the old head quarter, 1 block from Hoàn Kiếm Lake. It’s very lively at night, lots of shopping & food.

I love this Hotel, is very charming, everything is well maintenance, colorful. A big shout out to the staff, Tchai wait for my very late arrival, air plane was delayed, she was there waiting for me with a big smile on her face. The staff is so kind, friendly and courteous.

Staff was really friendly and helpful. Family room was spacious with two sections. Perfect location within walking distance of all areas around the lake. Hotel staff made excellent recommendations for food and transportation.

This is my second review for the La Selva so I will leave a more brief one. Both stays we found the bed very comfortable with strong AC and the room was clean. We appreciated the safe in the room and the toiletries in large quantity and good quality. This time we tried breakfast and found it above average for similar hotels. They have a full menu of options like a restaurant and include fresh squeezed juice and good coffee. We were able to order an omelette and French toast which was a nice touch to make for a big breakfast. The hotel has umbrellas however on rainy days they may run out, so I recommend getting a few more. It says a lot that this is the only comment I have for improving the hotel! Thanks to Nathan, Lilly, and the whole team for being so kind and accommodating. We will consider staying again on our next trip!

Overall a pleasant stay. Room is small. Clean and breakfast was good. Staff was friendly.

Lovely stay, very helpful staff. Had an issue with the safe in the room and the staff came up and sorted it out straight away. Only downside was room was meant to have windows, one window just faced a dark wall no light, and the other window you could see directly into the adjoining room.

This is a five star review for a two night stay, but we will be back! Shout out to Lily the manager and all of the staff for being the most accommodating and kind. They really made our stay special. Room: Had a soft and comfortable bed leading to one of our best nights of rest while in Hanoi. The ground floor deluxe room with no window was actually great for sleeping as there was no light and no sound, which we appreciated. Functional and sturdy safe. Included complimentary water and crackers. Very great price on mini fridge beer and soda with additional water. We liked the bathroom with a large quantity of quality toiletries and soft towels. Breakfast: Did not have during our first stay but will mention in my review after our next stay. Area: On the border of two areas making this a calm place to stay right next to the bustling yet cheap Old City and the calm yet expensive French Quarter. We loved this spot compared to our prior spot in the Old City as it was easier to walk around and find places. Nearby to a convenience store with an ATM attached. Accessibility: One step to get into hotel however has rooms on the ground level and an elevator making it great for those with mobility issues. Value: Paid a special rate found online that was absolutely a steal. Amazing value.

I love this hotel. It’s got a cozy decor and design, the rooms are clean and well maintained and the staff is beyond helpful! You will have easy access to all attractions in Hanoi.

Great stay. Exceptional well trained and helpful staff. All should be commended. Good location within walking distance of most amenities. Breakfast choices and taste made starting off my day perfectly. Will definitely stay here again when in Vietnam.

Good small hotel. Stayed for a couple of days while we did day trips elsewhere. Conveniently located near hoan Kiem lake. Rooms are adequate but slightly small, bathroom facilities could be updated, but otherwise still clean. The breakfast is alacarte but excellent, on the rooftop so a rather pleasant environment.

really great customer service, they go above & beyond to make sure you’re satisfied and had heaps of suggestions for thing to do in the area. the one downfall was we were told the mini bar was included and refilled by housekeeping, yet when we checked out we were charged for all the items.

Very friendly and well English staffs. Nice and comfortable family room.
