Good location, but the rooms are really dated, the toilets/showers are really basic, the kitchen is really unpractical (no toaster, no oven or hob, just one microwave and a really small fridge for such a big hostel).

Great place to stay. Only had issue with other person in same room. Guy was a dick. But the staff was awesome

For the price the place is perfect. Breakfast is amazing. Staff ia very helpful. Parking is 5 Euro a day. 5 min walk from bys stations, train starion and lots of gondolas. There ia a CoOp Grocery store right next to the property.

Awesome location, amazing to have free breakfast just be warned your double bed booking might end up being a couple bunk beds but overall great value

I wanted to express my gratitude to a lady receptionist. I arrived early and stored my luggage in the baggage room and then put the key at the counter. I went to explore Interlaken and called to inform that I would be late for a proper check in and I needed to get the luggage from the baggage room which I didn't have the access to. She was really kind and waited for me, sorry to have kept you waiting.

It was okay, as far as low expectations for a hostel. The one toilet for women on my floor stopped working, instead of a sign, it appeared to just be locked, so women would stand there waiting.

Grossly overprices for what it is - a very bare bones hostel. We were told we needed to pay for towels and we needed to strip our own beds at the end of our stay. Fine, but not for 200 francs per night. We stayed in incredible hotels in Switzerland elsewhere for the same price (checkout the lodge in Niederhorn, for example). The rooms are outdated and simpler than pictured online. Think of a college dormitory from the 80s...smells a bit like it too. The shared bathrooms and showers are rather far from the rooms. The hot tub pictured looks as if it hasn't worked for quite some time. However, the location is very convenient, the breakfast is fine, and the rooms are clean.

This property is at an incredible location. But of course it’s a hostel with shared bathrooms. Property is clean including bathrooms. Gives a great breakfast. The prices are unbeatable.

We called in and had two twin beds a bathroom and air conditioner and they ended up putting us in their other side which was a brothel I'm 61 years old I didn't go on vacation to sleep in the brothel I was a little disappointed the room was fine but I had to walk clear down the hall to go to the bathroom I'm not sure if that was their fault or the booking site we went through but be careful if you went here to make sure you get the right side

This property is not suited for the family. Very unpleasant and not clean. The beds are old.

The hostel was overly communal. I had to share one outlet with my bunkmate. The voltage converter I have to use does not fit with outlets so close together. Their lockers also required a 5 franc piece which I could not be given as change or ask the reception for. Everyones phones also fell under the beds and the only way to retrieve them was with someone with a long arm.

It was amazing! The staff were friendly! Breakfast was awesome! Location was brilliant! There was a dog I got to pet! I met some awesome friends on new year’s we had fondue which was amazing!

My experience was very good. The location of the lodge is excellent, right next to Grindelwald terminal station. Room was very clean and staff was very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend it to people.

Smooth late night check in with information package waiting for me. Nutritious breakfast for hikers. Very clean. Very service minded staff. Nice place over all very close to Terminal. Ticket for local bus to village included during stay. Only downside would be the pulsating temperature in showers.

3 min walking distance to grindelwald grund train station and local bus terminal. Local bus is free if you stay here. Staff was super friendly and helpful. This place was the cheapest stay I could find. Air condition was not so great though.

In the middle of the building site for the new cable car, smell of stale beer in communal areas and construction site dust outside. Inaccurate room description on Expedia. We took a refund and stayed elsewhere.

I would give them 2/5 stars. You have to put on the bedsheets on the mattress, pillow case on the pillow, and cover on the blanket yourself. The bathroom and showers were only downstairs so had to go down everytime. Wifi is only available in the lobby so again have to go downstairs. Towels and such are not provided automatically, and when we asked for them, we got very dirty looks from the staff. Finally, we’ve been to other hostels in Swiss itself where bathrooms were on every floors, wifi available in rooms, beds were already made, towels were provided for each person, and price of the stay was less than this place. Therefore, I would not recommend this place.Only positive was the breakfast was decent. Nothing great, just cereal, milk, bread, butter, jam, some sliced meats and cheese, but satisfying.

Hostel is located close to train and bus station (buses are free with guest card which one u get when u check in). For now is a little bit noisy cuz next to hostel another building is under construction. The price are reasonable like for expensive switzerland. Very kind and helpful receptionist , very clean showers and toilets. Old but comfortable beds. Wifi working good, u can use computer and printer, lobby is huge and with a lot of places to sit. Kitchen is outside the building and u can prepare ur own dishes. (we don't find any cups for tea :( Minus for payable towels and small choises on breakfast, no eggs :( but coffee was delicious. We will come again ;)

Really pretty view of the outside. The kitchen was easy to use.

Coming from America we were surprised at the ease of staying here. Staff spoke enough English to help us with directions and activities!

A lot of noisy schoolgroups. Kitchen was outside, not very nice in the wintertime. Good breakfast, good location.

The hotel is pretty good and is value for money, however, it is of a 20-minute walk distance to the Grindelwald Train Station, but very close to the Jungfrau rail station. It is quite interesting that they put the kitchen out of the building and I have to eat with the company of insects
