My room was very clean and the bathroom looked as though it had just been renewed. Alan was very good and I would happily return.

Perfect base from which to explore Swanage and the surrounding area. Two-minute walk to the beach, and a short stroll along the seafront to the shops etc. Alan is a very friendly host, our room was lovely and breakfast was delicious. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. No hesitation in recommending The Rookery

Traditional with bay windows yet modern ring door bell, and porch chairs to sit and chill on. VERY spacious inside. Good sized room with traditional sash windows and smart TV, modern ensuite.

Our second time at the Rookery, and just as good as the first! Everything immaculate - five stars hardly does it justice! Great welcome, great breakfast, superb location, especially for beach lovers - I'm sure we'll be back again.

We had a very pleasant and comfortable 2-night stay at the Rookery just before Christmas. Lovely room and delicious breakfast. Great Christmas decorations throughout. Alan was very helpful with information and knowledge to enhance our stay. Look forward to returning.

The Rookery was superb. Friendly welcome, lovely room, comfortable bed, all spotlessly clean and attractively decorated, and well-cooked breakfast with lots of options (the black pudding especially recommended!). Top class - we intend to go back.

The Rookery was the best B&B we have stayed in anywhere in the UK.Our room was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were cooked perfectly with a wide range of choice.Our hosts, Alan and Charlene were very friendly and really made us feel welcome. If you want a very personal touch, with a great clean fresh Room, with a Breakfast which gives you a full Tank, in a Great Location, well you had better stay at the Rookery, and you will become like me, a very Happy Rook.

Very welcoming and friendly hosts who were very keen to please. Tasteful decor with some interesting and appropriate paintings. Very homely atmosphere and within easy walking distance of the beach and town centre. A good place to return to.

It was a really nice stay at the Rookery, the staff were really kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and you could have as much as you like and was very filling. We had the family room on the top floor, which was two rooms with an a joining door, one twin room and one double, both spacious with their own tv and facilities. The only small downside to the room was the shower, as it was a telephone set on the bath and fit to the bathroom location in the eves unless you were only 4 foot tall you couldn’t get under it, however there was plenty of hot water and the bath didn’t take long to fill. The location was great, a 10 minute walk to the town centre and a two minute walk to the beach, and the best end of the beach as the closer you get to town the more stoned in the sand, all things considered a wonderful place, great hosts and a nice place to stay.

In a great spot on a quiet side street. Alan really welcoming and rained friendly and nothing was to much trouble. There is an onsite bar which we did not use but the prices were very reasonable. The room ( number 7) and onsuite looked newly done and to a high standard. Only one chair in the room but there was a dressing table stool. The bed was comfortable and the bedding great quality and pristine. Light does seep in around the door frame from the hall but this was not to much of a bother. We will definitely be returning in the future, highly recommend.
