We loved the beautiful hotel grounds - all the plants and landscaping were well-kept! The staff was very friendly and it was overall a nice place to stay. One thing I did not enjoy however was the shower: it was very low pressure. I would recommend this hotel!

Beautiful property, so charming! The staff are attentive and kind. One thing, the beds are fairly stiff so if you don't like stiff beds be weary of that. Otherwise, we loved our stay in the "main house" it was so cozy.

I had a really comfortable stay at Villa del Sol. the beautiful gardens and pool area are lovely. The room was very comfortable and clean with a fan, aircon and a smart TV with streaming services. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the home cooked breakfast was great. 2 minutes walk to the beach! would recommend and stay again!

My partner and I stayed here for one night as we were flying out of Liberia the next day. We wished we could have stayed longer, it was so beautiful and one of the nicest places we stayed on our trip.

Omg! The entire staff was extremely accommodating and the grounds were beautifully landscaped. My whole group enjoyed our stay. Ask for activity and beach recommendations and take them up on it.

The staff was wonderful. It is a simple property but very clean and well kept. It is in a great location— 2 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk down the beach to shops and restaurants.

Nice tucked away place with great rooms, friendly staff and beautiful grounds that were well taken care of and close to the beach. One complaint from my wife was that she found the mattress not great (to hard) but I didn’t have any issues. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This was our 2nd time staying and it was even better than we recalled. Beautiful property, well maintained, in nice quiet location all the while still walkable to restaurants and only 100m from the ocean. The staff are also genuine and kind. We will be back!

We stayed at Hotel Villa del Sol for two nights right when we arrived in Costa Rica. Lovely staff, great location. Best part is being able to walk 2 minutes to the beach. Felt safe (gated property with security guard at night) rooms were in pretty good condition but definitely had some wear and tear(i.e., the trash can in our bedroom was broken and the walls were a little beat up. Small things). But the hotel was kept up really well overall. Nice pool area and it was great having a mini fridge in our room. Would stay here again. Enjoyed the breakfast in the mornings too.

Hotel Villa Del Sol is a real gem! The facility is smaller which we liked and it was easy to meet the other guests. The staff were excellent, the grounds are well treed and are like an oasis. The little pool area is beautiful with sun or shade, whatever you prefer. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the Main Street. My wife and I met 2 very nice people from Quebec, Peter and Louise!

My favorite thing about this hotel was the relaxed, sweet, and efficient staff – Fatima, Kattia, Marta and Maria - mucho gracias! The room was nice and the bed comfy. It was generally a quiet place, about a 20 min walk from downtown. The pool area was lovely and picturesque; quite nice for a sunset swim. The lobby was welcoming, with lovely cultural art. Unfortunately, the location was about 3 blocks from the beach, so I couldn’t pop into the ocean as I expected. There wasn’t a place to store my gear if I wanted to go into the ocean. Also, there weren’t restaurants nearby, so for a solo female traveler, my evening options were limited. Instead, I had late lunches at my fav spot 15 min walk away, Guayoyo. I’d recommend these villas only if you have transportation.

Love it that is close to the beach, breakfasts was good, and room is clean with air a/c. The Hotel price budge is o for those people that want close access to the beach. I will recommend it.

Really a beautiful property with a pool that was refreshing and partly shaded so you could spend the afternoon there instead of hiding in the AC. And many amazing birds in the morning

Clean and beautiful property. Breakfast was homemade every day. Mostly eggs and toast. 250 steps to the beach. Gated property with code access. Rooms were small but adequate. Bed and breakfast feel to this property.

If you want "charming" look no further. I thouroughly enjoyed the stay. Only good things to say about the safety, cleanliness, staff and property. Be sure to understand when booking there are two buildings. One is more private and quiet. They call those rooms apartments. Then, there are 6 rooms all attached to the central reception, kitchen and shared eating area. During the day, there is a fair amount of noise and commotion. Not terrible, and very quiet at night. Just be aware, if your older folk like me, and you need catch-up naps during day... might be iffy. Lol. One suggestion...put at a tiny table and chair in room so you dont have to eat in bed. We stayed in the budget room off of the lobby for 7 nights. Room was smaller, but adequate. Bed was a bed firm. Shower pressure was low, but plenty of hot water to get clean. TV is app based, no cable, so bring your logins. Breakfast was fresh fruit, juice, coffee, scrambled eggs, toast with butter and jelly and some days rice beans. Basic, but filling. Being near the lobby was not a problem at all as other guests didn't congregate there. It was also convenient as there is a filtered water station available 24/7 in the lobby. Kathalina was helpful in highlighting how to get to the beach, mini mart, grocery store, pharmacy and banks. She also helped us book a taxi to a local golf course. The pool area was frequented but most guests and was clean and comfortable with a good amount of shade. We spent a few hours there most afternoons. The smallness of this hotel was so peaceful as there are never hundreds of people mulling about. We would definitely stay here again if in Coco.
