A full body mirror would go perfect with the room since the only mirrors were above the headrest.

It was a pleasant stay. Wishing we could have stayed longer.

Excellent place for one or a coupe of nights exploring Monterey and surroundings.

I'm a dj and I'm working once per month in Monterey and this place made my weekend. Everything so clean, the people who works there really amazing people. I'll be back for sure

Stayed there some 20 years ago and again: they should do something about the door clearance. Unless, it is like sleeping in the street. Rest was fine. Esp. the lemon tree in the backyard and the location in walking distance to attractions.

Staff was very friendly. Overall the property does look a little outdated. There was a huge stain on our carpet and a few small hair in the bathroom.

Traffic loud nearby. No vending machines on premises. Clean rooms -nice fire pit

The room was clean and cute and updated and had two comfortable queen size becs.

The office was about 90 degrees and smelled awful. The rooms are very old and just ok. The steps and walkway to our room had carpet and it was filthy. Really bad! The stay was definitely not worth $256!! Very over priced for what you get!

Bus stop is just around the corner. You can walk to many places if you'd like. Very clean and friendly staff. Thank you.

The room was clean and smelled nice. The bathroom door needed repair (it was falling apart at the bottom). This created a negative impression of the room. The windows were sealed and it was dark. Previously we took a room on the second floor and were impressed by the cleanliness, pleasant smell and comfort. This time it was different.

Beautiful, very clean

Awesome greeting by stagf, we reserved two rooms. One room had a carpet stain, but everything else was extremely clean. Beds were comfortable, pretty good coffee too. Will definitely stay again!!

Nice hotel

Room was pretty great, but the promised fireplace room we reserved wasn’t operational so we had a room without one. But owners seemed really nice. Lots of great food nearby.

Great area, easy walk to downtown, felt super safe

Only there for 1 night. It was very clean and smelled clean. It was quiet so we slept well. The front desk lady was very sweet. Would definitely stay there again.

The lady at the front desk did not know how to run the card machine to pay for the room. The toilet ran periodically through the night. The shower when first turned on did not smell very good. The room was clean. There was no secondary lock on the door. Waling distance to some food.

The hotel knew they were closed

This was a nice, inexpensive, 2-story strip motel on a busy intersection across from a liquor store and Jack in the Box. It was what it was, simple, no frills, no breakfast, but clean, comfortable bed and clean but spartan shower and bathroom. A 10 minute walk from the Old Downtown. Easy parking. Front desk was friendly and helpful.

Area surrounding hotel and check in is fine. Our issue was with the room. The room we got was not the one represented on the website either by hotels.com or the hotel itself. This is the second time this has happened while using hotel.com and it may be the last time we use this app. Room is old, with no A/C, wall heater that is 12 inches from bed so person sleeping on that side is uncomfortable to say the least.

Value for money. Very clean and very convenient from freeway. Towels feels new and soft. They have coffee machine, microwave and small fridge in the room. They provide free coffee and fruits at the front desk.

I have stayed at vf several times over the last 3 years. I don’t need anything extraordibarily “specila” as someone with low expectations, and with that being said, easily satisfied. Cleanliness and a disruptive sleep is all I really need and get both..along with a coffeemaker in the room as a good “perk”. 🙂

This stay was great!

This is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been. When I got to the office, there were some weird noise going on in the background, and the noise was so distracting that you could hardly hear the attendant trying to check you in. The clerk was pleasant enough, but I could not get over how hard it was, trying to understand what she was saying. the walls are really thin, and you can hear the traffic from outside all day long. We had some young couple, staying next-door to us, whom more smoking what smell like marijuana outside, but the smell somehow was permeating our room as well, and they were so noisy that they were really a nuisance to us then they got inside, the noise was reduced, but you could still hear them bump around. We had to kill a fly that was flying around in the room. The only good thing I can say about the price is that I was somewhat clean, somewhat comfortable, and definitely less expensive than anything else around. I called the manager at one in the morning to ask him to quiet those people down, but I don’t think he did anything because they continue there behavior at that hour. I am sure that is not the managers fault that those people were being noisy, but I wish he would’ve done at least something. I know marijuana is legal in California, and there’s nothing anyone can do about that now.

Excellent value for money!

This is really a nice, comfortable, clean and most of all accessible to restaurants and market. I love the clean smell of the room. They don’t have air conditioning but that’s ok but it’s cool at night. I will definitely stay here again. My friends are very happy.

Like the location. Does not like that it has no Air Conditioning.
