The staff member who checked us in, indicated that (although we had already paid through Expedia) he didn’t have us in the computer. After showing him confirmation emails, he reluctantly gave us a room but said we may have to move when the manager arrives.
Fortunately, we did not hear from the manager and fell asleep before the noise began

Room smelled like an old sock and the mattress shifted oddly when you sat on it (unstable frame). Still pretty good for a hostel, good amenities, just needs a bit more maintenance.

I liked the room and the building. It was great to be able to use the equipped kitchen, including deep freeze for our ice packs. The only issue we had was some kind of alarm going off, three beeps over and over, all night. (Out in the common area, not in our room.) Nobody came to shut it off, and I didn’t see in my room a way to contact staff. Other than that, I enjoyed our stay here. It was clean, quiet, and good value for money.

Needed a good rest after camping for a week before driving home. Paid extra for private room, put right by the door, so I heard everyone going in and out all night, paper thin walls, neighbour snored all night then was up at 5am making “business calls.”
This place definitely needs to promote “quiet hours” and turn down the lights in the common area during said times, I had to put a towel under my door to stop the bright lights from shining into my room.

If you like to save money this property is good for one night. The rooms are clean and checking in could be as late as 11 pm. Only the basics are being provided but for a tired traveler it's just enough. The only negative thing about the place is the noise from a close by train passing a few times during the night.

We liked that you could check in late, close to stores, restaurants, beach and marina. Easy to find and the room we had was perfect. Thanks for the hospitality. Only problem i had was trying to get regular tv.

I was upgraded to a superior room at no cost.
A pervading smell of fried chicken lingered everywhere. Premises -- common areas are spacious and accommodating. Room setting around the common areas resemble those in a hospital. Appreciated the fact that windows open for fresh air and glorious mountain views all around.

Very friendly environment. We stayed for one night and it was good. The room was clean and it is convenient located close to the lake and restaurants.

The manager is rude and abrupt and seemed annoyed by us checking in! The whole property is absolutely disgusting!! There were bugs on the bed and spiders and cobwebs by the ceiling!! The AC didn’t work, one toilet per floor and one gross shower per floor! Doesn’t look like the doors have ever even been wiped down!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

The owner is really nice and accommodating ! It’s a hostile, I woke up to pee on the floor in the bathroom but it was cleaned up right away . We showed up late and the person working there was personable and kind ! The bed was comfortable and we slept well!

Everything was good except there was a strong mould smell throughout the building. I had to keep my window open, just to prevent an asthma attack. More health measures need to be taken to address this issue.

Rough crowd stays here. Smells pretty bad in the rooms. Room can be rented by the month. No air conditioning. Bathrooms are pretty rough. This is not a hostel more like long term housing for transient workers. Pretty rough place.

I came to the hostel with my husband and five children.
We found the property very clean and the kitchen is full with everything one may need to cook anything.
The only thing I noticed is the mattresses are a bit too firm and uncomfortable. Yet, we will be glad to come back again.
