Excellent property! Nice clean and very safe hotel on good location. The breakfast was tasty and delicious. The staff is more than friendly. Special and a big thank you to the host GUILLERMO. He is the man with a great heart and soul. Help to guests to enjoy the stay in anyway. He doesn't speaks English but still you can communicate with him. He help to us a lot. Found people who speak English and we organised some tours. Thank you GUILLERMO for everything you did for us!

It was so clean and maintained perfectly. The breakfast room/ kitchen was available to us at all times with free tea and coffee. The staff were amazing and so helpful. Location is great in a quiet street just 5 minutes walk from the main businesses.

We had a great stay at Vicuña Lodge. Beds are super comfortable and warm, rooms cleaned to a high standard everyday. Modern bathroom with good shower. Good breakfast and they provide a takeaway one if you are out early. The female owner (Lilli?) was super welcoming and attentive. Helped us out with a very time sensitive airport transfer problem. She makes you feel very welcome and is always on hand for anything. Location is perfect as well - 5 minute walk from the main street. Would highly recommend as a base for doing the Atacama.

The people were super helpful and nice. Lily and Elly. They provided breakfast when we went out early. There was water and snacks all the time.

owner is so nice and funny

It's a bit hard to find but then that is how things are in San Pedro de Atacama. Good location-about a 10 min. walk to the main drag in the town. Room was nice and comfortable and had a big fan since it was coming into summer season and while daily highs of around 80, well, since there are never clouds here, things really heat up in the afternoon. The grandmotherly owner lives onsite and she was very sweet. Didn't have much time for the little pool but it was covered and since this is high desert the water temp was quite cool. I would recommend having earplugs with you since the owner has a little Yorkie like my mom does and they are the "yappiest" dogs on earth-it was quite annoying. It would be nice if they had a mini-fridge in the room since I think the daily rate is a bit high but at least I had access to put my beverages in the fridge in the breakfast area.

Accomodations in San Pedro are going to be pretty modest no matter where you stay. Vicuna Lodge makes up the difference with clean rooms, friendly staff, and a few little extras along the way

Great place close to Caracoles This hotel is close to Caracoles street and the owners were so helpful about the area. The room was super clean. We had good internet connection with no problem. Another highlight from this place is that we had an excursion with a 4:30 am pick up and they left some snacks to take along with us. That was awesome!

The bathroom was updated except for the shower which had only a handheld shower head. Breakfast was very basic. One slice of cheese, one slice of ham. Bread. A toaster. Some fruit. Instant coffee (1) and tea. Best part of breakfast was the view.

We had a nice time at Vicuña Lodge and the owners were very kind. In fact, they even helped us with a car situation. Breakfasts were nice and simple and they coordinated with us to leave a “breakfast bag” in the mornings when we had to head out super early! Thank you!

This so-called lodge almost ruined our Chile trip. Upon check-in, when entering our room, we found that they had not emptied the trash in the bin, hair clogged up in the shower drain and also found hair in the bedsheets. Our shower also clogged up upon use (no doubt to all the hair that's accumulated) and when we asked for help, we were handed a plunger. This place is approx 10 mins walk to the main street and is not located in the "city" core. Don't be fooled like us and book another place!!
