We arrived at 11 pm, and the receptionist insisted that I check in online by uploading my credit card and passport. I was uncomfortable uploading these documents to the hotel website, but I was told it was the only option if I wanted to stay at the hotel. Since I had paid in advance, I would lose my money if I didn't comply. The receptionist was rude and offered no other options. I submitted a review through Expedia after checking in but did not receive any response. We returned to Cartagena a few days later after our trip to Barranquilla and stayed at Hotel Marques. The experience was a big difference, much more pleasant.

Hotel not clean air conditioning keep turned off at night..the reception both there name MARIA not helpful at you i was in front asking questions about air conditioning why keep cutting off she not evening gove attention to me ...i saw here she keep playing with her phone

This is a very lovely hotel in heart of the tourist area. Very nice, friendy staff. Clean rooms with charming paintings on the walls and doors. A restored old colonial building. A/c worked well (a must in a very hot, humid climate) and muffled any outside noise. I will go bak and stay there again.

A centrally located boutique hotel in the walled city. You can walk everywhere and boasts lake nite entertainment on the weekends.

I loved the Townhouse Boutique Hotel. My husband and I stayed in the third floor suite, two bed, two bath, and balconies for 7 days. Everything was modern and comfortable; and the rain-head warm showers were the best. The staff is kind, and very helpful and the rooftop bar was a real plus, good music, nice breeze and outstanding cocktails. The townhouse was convenient to all the nicer restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend!!

Townhouse was perfect for our girls trip. We booked 3 rooms, including the penthouse which gave us access to a private pool area. Everything from the staff, to the amenities, to the location was top tier.

Excellent choice in hotel. Room is quiet, clean and comfortable bed with a great shower. There is a wonderful rooftop bar for sunset time. Location is perfect, right in walled old city with beautiful streets with stores, restaurants and bars to just wander around. Very safe. Would definitely recommend.

This was such an AMAZING property! The staff was very nice and responsive. The suite was so pretty and had everything we needed. I also have to point out that it is located in a great area that is surrounded by many shops and restaurants that are within walking distance

I had an absolutely incredible stay at the Townhouse Boutique Hotel in Cartagena, Colombia. The location of the hotel was incredibly convenient, providing easy access to various destinations. The menu offered a wide range of delicious dishes, and the cocktails were expertly crafted. I particularly enjoyed the bottomless brunch option, where they brought us delicious food after food. This property was at the center of Cartagena. Walkable to everything but comfortable and sustainable enough that you wanted to stay and enjoy all the amenities that the hotel had to offer. Rooftop bar, jazz club restaurant, bottomless brunch . Staff exceeded any of my customer service expectations. Waldo, Aldo, Jasmine, Eduardo and both Marias ensured that my friend and I had an amazing stay in Cartagena not just at the Townhouse property. Rooms smell like a spa on entry, the art/ theme on the wall was engaging. The views from the rooftop were breathtaking. Drinks served were refreshing and unique. Staff ssrvice above and beyond always. Communication created by the hotel was impressive. Use of modern technology to keep guests informed and reachable was impressive and innovative. Definitely recommend anyone stay at this property. Money well spent

Everything was great.

This is actually my second time staying at this hotel. Most times when I travel, I'm usually by myself (and I'm a female), so being in a location that's super safe and that is walkable to restaurants, entertainment, and transportation is super important to me. Also, Townhouse has wonderful food and entertainment options as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful and was able to answer any questions that I had. I highly recommend this place for solo travelers as well as those that are traveling in groups/couples... you won't be disappointed. :)

The hotel is lovely but it absolutely NOT a kid friendly hotel. It is inappropriate that it is advertised as such. There are signs that are not appropriate for kids. They claim to have a “kid friendly” pool but it is not a pool. It is a hot tub in a rooftop bar where they serve unlimited drinks and even prohibit kids during “brunch”. The staff nicely tried to accommodate but it was a huge disappointment since we booked based on the “family” rating.

5 stars isn’t enough! My room was amazing, so spacious and comfortable. The staff is very friendly, especially Maria and very attentive and the rooftop and breakfast was amazing. Loved every minute of my stay 10/10 would recommend!

Our stay was amazing. We had the best staff a consumer could ask for. Though there were so many restaurants, coffee shops and bars available, we wined and dined inside the hotel serveral meals of our 8 day seven night stay! Even though there was a language barrier, they found ways to plow through any obstacle that came our way. Even helped us OUTSIDE of the establishment. I highly recommend!

In Cartagena to attend nephew's wedding. This hotel was in the centre of the old city and within walking distance of all events. Very modern hotel with smart rooms. For those of us who may not be quite up to speed with this degree of technology, inital help may be required 😁. Technology is great when it is all working as it should.
