We were excited to stay at this hotel as we pass through Hays often. They are listed as pet friendly, which was nice. We have a service dog and federally are allowed to take the dog anywhere we need to as it provides service for a disability. However we try to choose pet friendly hotels as to not cause any issues with other guests. From the outside, it looked updated and nice. The staff was not welcoming to us during check in. We were met with an attacking tone when my military veteren husband let the front desk know we had a service dog, in a pet friendly hotel. Immediately we were harshly asked why we had a service dog. My husband said Im a veteren and its my service dog.Then told that they needed to know exactly what the dog was needed for.I have never seen anyone be so rude about a person with a disability. My husband was shocked by her demeanor. He told her of his disability and asked if she had an issue with this. She looked to the other front desk person who asked us to sign a pet policy document. He said ok..that is fine but why am i being scrutinized? She said "we charge a fee for pets" This could have been handled much better.A disabled person should NEVER feel less than anyone else because they use an aid for their disability or mobilitally.The hotel and rooms are average and beds hard
was ok. I expected more from a Marriott. It was an average hotel with average rooms. Nothing special. The beds were hard which surprised me as most Marriott hotels have comfy beds.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and had everything you would need for an extended stay. My only complaint would be that the be that the bed wasn't comfortable at all. Almost like sleeping on the box springs themselves.

Best hotel we stayed at on a very long road trip. Room smelled clean and fresh. Bed was very comfortable and the large shower was amazing. Staff was friendly and efficient at check in. Thank you!

Work trip to area with stop over. Hotel is great and the room was super quiet for the rest I was looking for. Room has way more amenities than I needed for an over night but for a longer stay it would amazing to have all this

The front check in was Rude.. short and snappy.. the room had hair and debris on the carpeting and hair in the shower.. there was no breakfast ready the next morning by 7am and no coffee available except in the room.

They were not willing to switch me to another room so I could have a bathtub. Even tho the website did say I would have one. Horrible customer service at this hotel.

Unfortunately after going through tornado weather on I70 and driving 10hrs, we were not able to stay at this hotel. The front desk lady was rude, however that might be because she had to tell me she would need to cancel my reservations. My dogs are to big. I didn’t know this, but this particular Marriot will not take any dogs over 35lbs. She said it’s Marriot policy. I’m a member of Marriot and this hotel is the only hotel that I have heard this from. So being exhausted and wore down we left and stayed at Best Western. In the Hays Kansas Area Hampton, Hilton, Best Western , Comfort Suites, Avid all take any size dog. Your Welcome.

Not the room I booked. Website says 2 queens and hid a bed couch. Hotel doesn’t have any rooms like that yet your website let me book a room with that. Hotel wouldn’t do anything. Very disappointed with the room and staff

We were unable to stay because the corporate office changed their policy on pets. The pet in our group was over the weight limit. There was no indication on the website indicating anything other than pet friendly.

The room I was assigned had a vent to the hallway fan, and I couldn't turn it off, which meant I heard it all night though I was wearing ear plugs. The Desk Clerk came and checked it but couldn't do anything about it either. That was really annoying.

1.) check in clerk would not enter our Bonvoy info for points, 2.) ADA/ESA requires $50 addl for 1-night, not mentioned on resv, 3.) clerk reeked of cigarette smoke, 4.) 3 keys would not open room, had to repeatedly go back, no thanks! Traveling with daughter and toddler, plus small ESA pet, arrived late at 10:30 pm after all day drive - Got a snarky "have a great night" when I canceled and was leaving. Hotel next door was better in $ and hospitality. This Town Place Marriott in Hays run by amateur rip-off artists.
