What s lovely place. Huge room- modern bathroom. 20 minute walk to down. Free breakfast. Would highly recommend if you dont mind walking into town.

This property sits across the Rhone River, within walking distance of Avignon by bridge. Once you are through the hotel gates, you feel you have entered a movie set. The trees and the architecture are charming, the inn is inviting and personal, in the summer heat our rooms were very cool for sleeping and the renovated baths and rooms are well done. The owners are warm and friendly and the petit dej́euner was exceptionally well done.

Owners and staff of what is actually a B and B, were great, rooms spacious and very nicely remodeled. The most wonderful stop on our month long trip though France.

Perfect quite place with a lot of ambiance for your visit to Avignon. Rooms are very big, clean, newly remodeled (simple, but all what you need). Great restaurant on premises. Owners are there to help you, very hospitable.

Good luck if you ever try to find this place. It was 7 pm and spent 30 minutes trying to find it in a shady and spooky neighborhood. Expedia should verify this place and not be part of a scam.

Lovely people, friendly and relaxed

Very quaint and charming and quiet. Very close to the Old City of Avignon and Palace of the Popes, etc. Delightful staff and breakfast was included. The room was spacious, clean and air conditioned and had beautiful views. This is a true gem of a hotel. It is an old mansion turned into a hotel...or that is what it appears to be. Very charming!

Nice Breakfast, nice house, nice staff.

It’s an old French home on a large property sat right across from the old town Avignon, we had a wonderful stay for 3 nights, while we were visiting the Provence area with all the town’s near by, and you can walk to the old town too.

We stayed here for just one night before catching the train to Paris, but we wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel definitely has a guest-house feel to it, and you get the feeling that the restaurant is the main focus here. That being said, our room was amazing, clean, and comfortable, and the grounds beg you to sit with a glass of wine and relax. The breakfast in the morning was a wonderful start to our day and was served by the nicest lady. The location really is a short walk to everything touristy, though walking back at night did feel a little sketchy. Okay, now let's tackle getting to the hotel and through the gate: First, do not follow Google Maps directions, as they will take you to the back gate, which is not opened. Take the N580 bridge, 1st left down the off-ramp and onto Chemin de I'lle de Piot, taking a right. The hotel is at the end of that road. The Gate: I imagine if you are from Europe or have an int'l cell plan, just to give them a call to open the gate. For the rest of us, you'll want to set up an arrival time previous to your arrival to make sure you can get through the gate. We had to find a nice neighbor to call them for us in order to get through the gate. Overall, great home base to explore the wonderful town of Avignon. We will also miss their dog and cute kitty.

When we arrived at the hotel by taxi, the gate was closed. We couldn’t do anything, so we had to get back to the city center with our big luggage. Even when the tourist center staff called for several times, no one answered on the phone call. Two days before of my booking day, I got a message from the hotel which asking me of the arriving time. So I was sure that my booking was confirmed. Finally, we booked and stayed at the different hotel. As I was looking forward to staying here, I was very disappointed and annoyed. Moreover, we spent 20euros for taxi in vain. I strongly request the apology from the hotel owner and explanation of why this happened.

Place is nice but the people are not focussed on their guests. The restaurant has a good reputation and that is obviously their main concern

The property is like no other. The setting among the Plane trees and the old stately home makes it other worldly. The rooms are modern but still have old world charm. And the Michelin starred restaurant is to die for. Eating each course required silence. As though in church. We will be back very soon. We stayed an extra day and changed our plans because it was so wonderful.

We had the dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant, which was so good. Reasonably priced with good service. Our breakfast was accompanied by two doggies in the garden and it was lovely.

Beautiful place with a beautiful setting. I felt totally relaxed at this place a real retreat from the cares of the World.

Feel warm as home, ideal base when travel in Avignon region

This charming hotel should be a must stay for anyone travelling to Avignon. The staff were extremely helpful and made every effort to ensure all our needs were met. Even Daisy the resident dog made us feel at home! Chef was fantastic and our final meal before departing was not only beautiful to see but absolutely scrumptious from aperitif to dessert. Beautiful location, charming home, walk to the old city, take a cruise on the river - what more could one ask for? Merci beaucoup la Treille!Kathryn Gibson

Beautiful old villa with 4 tastefully renovated rooms and an incredible restaurant run by the owner/chef. Great breakfast. Easy access into Avignon. The owners and staff were helpful and welcoming. Only tricky thing was getting in when the gate is closed. Best to call when at the gate if needed.
