Great to have shuttles go back and forth from casino to rooms down below

My stay at Cliff Castle Casino was average overall. The location was convenient, and the staff was polite and accommodating. However, there were some areas that could use improvement.
The room was clean but lacked certain amenities I expected for the price, such as [mention specifics, e.g., better toiletries or a more comfortable bed]. Additionally, [mention a specific issue, e.g., the air conditioning was noisy, or the Wi-Fi connection was inconsistent].
While the breakfast provided was with an additional charge but we have not opted after reviewing the items, those are not really sound!
Overall, it was a satisfactory stay, but addressing these small issues could enhance the experience significantly. Thank you for your service.

Make sure when booking you are aware that the casino has two parts of the hotel. One is inside the casino which is nice and then there is THE LODGE. We didn't realize there was another set of rooms not attached to the casino which is called THE LODGE which were not as nice. You still check-in at the casino but then you drive down the road. Lady at check-in was very nice and overall we had fun at the casino.

The room was clean however the stay was less than impressive and we will not be staying here again. We heard multiple banging noises on our hotel door the first bang no one annouced themselves the second time the gentleman annoucing themselves as security. The "Security" gentleman continued knocking a couple more times In addition to this someone was doing banging noises in the room next to ours. We called front desk to see what was going on, front desk didnt answer the phone after being on hold for around 5-10 minutes which was ridiculous considering it was later in the evening around 1 am. We eventually got through to front desk they had no idea what was going on they routed us to the security department they had no idea what was going on. This is a great place to go if you want to feel unsafe and get no rest. I wish i could get my money back due to the experience of the stay being so awful but realize the chances of this happening are next to nothing.

Terrible location, there is a lodge and a hotel, the lodge is horrible! Don’t stay there, no WiFi, poor service overall. If you plan on staying here, make sure is the hotel part not the lodge.

This should have not cost what it did. No room service ever came in during my 3 night stay. If that's the norm, the leave enough supplies forbthe who stay. Door didn't close on it own. Big gaps. Broken furniture. Sandpaper towels.

This property looks like it is the hotel inside the casino as it actually pictures the casino. This is not the case. It is an old rundown hotel that sits in a separate area than the casino and runs shuttles to the casino. Poorly lit parking lot and musky smelling rooms. No outlets for charging devices or for running the coffee pot they put in the room. False advertising for this hotel. Also the mattress in our room was collapsing on one half.

After a bit of difficulty figuring out where the check in was and finding the room, I enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly, the room clean and comfortable. Loved the view from the patio!

It was clean. The pool was closed when we wanted to go in. 6-7 pm? Why not first thing in the morning? No hair dryer. Coffee pot had the wrong pods and it leaked all over. Strange they can’t figure that out……They wouldn’t give us a bottom level room even though I asked. Hotel clerk guy had a “I could care less” attitude. Typical nowadays

I have stayed here before but when I booked I didn’t realize it was the old units. Which honestly do not come close to the new ones. AC was not good and the room was a bit dingy.

Loved the dog friendly lodge, the walk or shuttle options up to the Casino and it's amenities (however do not try to get a meal at 8:30; they all close at 9 except for the 'takeout' market- which had awesome navajo tacos- so ended up a win-win.) Want to go back to the cool cave-like "storyteller's' restaurant. Staff was a little confused on whether outdoor pool was open- it was though and nice and clean- however Jacuzzi was closed off. (bees were a little out of control but what can you do?) Overall great location, affordable, 'home base' for exploring the Verde Valley or just staying at the casino resort with your pup.

Dirty room. Barking dogs nonstop. Mattress was upside down and had to be flipped and they were rude about it. Cheap mattress not comfortable at all. Short staffed.

I booked this stay through Expedia. They didnt tell you that you would be staying in the dirty old lodge that is quite a ways down the road from the casino. I was assuming we were staying in the casino. The room smelt like must and cigarettes'. It was in a secluded area with no staff which mad me feel unsafe. They had to put us in the upstairs rooms which we requested first floor but they said if it rained hard the retaining wall could cave and we would be trapped in our rooms. WTH! Then we we checked in we waited an hour in line to check in because the computers were down. Checking into the hotel is super inconvient. You have to walk all the way throught the hotel, then down a long hall and around the corner. It isnt put together well at all. Either way, they did comp us 2 free dinners at the buffett so the was kind of them. Over all I can not speak for the hotel in the casino because we didnt get to stay there. I dont normally post complaints but this over all wasnt the best experience. I think they need to do a better job letting you know where you will be staying the casino or the lodge below the casino.

When first getting checked in, went to our room opening the door, everything was disassembled, and looked like it was in the middle of renovating…Called the front desk, and they said they would have someone come down to check it out, waited half an hour no one came went back to the lobby and had to get a different room, next day brought up again what happened with the other room, they said would let the manager know, and still haven’t heard back from them

All great! friendly staff

The pool and hot tub were about 100 feet from our patio. The walled sides blocked the sun but not the open view and access to the pool area directly in front. I think we had the best room for outdoor lounging. Perfect for a smoker.

This is a bait and switch situation. I booked the room and it said hotel. When I got there they said you are in the “ lodge” which is actually the old hotel down the street. I argued the point that the site said hotel not lodge and she said there are no other rooms. The lodge was broken down and filthy.

It was a very pleasant stay. No cons at all. It was cheaper than the actual casino by $100 a night.

If the hotel was much much cheaper I could understand, but being the highest rate in town is crazy. The room was very worn and dingy. In all the corners and behind the the amenities was extremely dusty with dead bugs. All of the living room furniture was very dusty and felt extremely unclean. The shower didn’t drain and the shower controls were flimsy and pulled away from the wall. Everything was very worn down and dingy. Overall not a good experience.

Sheets are scratchy and the bed is not very comfortable. The floors appeared clean but my new white socks say otherwise.

Mostly clean except outside rooms and trash, gross stuff on the ground.
Staff was nice at hotel and in casino.
One bad thing is the reception area closes a lot so you have to drive up to the casino for issues or check out

The shower nozzle was stuck in on position where it was more mist than spray, couldn’t adjust. Other than that, room was fine but the shuttle would have taken too long to get from the bottom of the hill to the top…

They overbooked the location and sent us to casino hotel. We had to pay a resort fee on top of our original price.

the best hotel/casino property in this region if you have kids. They have a bowling alley, arcade room, kid zone where you can leave kids to play and an indoor pool.

Stay at the actual hotel if you can. The AC didn’t work very well and the vent in the bathroom didn’t really work either- it was brutal because there was someone above us and we could tell when they had used the bathroom. The room itself was outdated but liveable. It was pretty sparse- no outlets in easy reach by the nightstand, but if you moved the bed away from the wall you could find an outlet. It was easy to sleep in- those blackout curtains worked really well. You get what you paid for.

We loved this Hotel. It is not attached to Casino But just up the Hill from it so we drove there. I being half Apache...loved the history of Camp Verde. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL area and so interesting ! It was nice to have a nice dinner in town (drive) then go back to casino for some gambling. Very quiet, pool was clean but evenings were still cool so I jumped in and out. Beds were comfy and room was very Clean. Check in was easy..you have to do it in casino. Our check in guy was very Nice but he was so overworked; I admired him for giving us a pleasant room. Would definitely stay here again. OF course we were visiting during week; so not so crowded.

It’s very close to the casino & they provide shuttle service to and from the casino. There are a few good restaurants in the casino.
The room was clean and quiet. The beds comfortable and clean.
The toilet had to have the lid removed and the chain pulled from under the flap each time you flushed or it would run constantly. The AC was not quiet. Had to turn it off in order to sleep.
