This was the first time we stayed at a bed and breakfast and it was very nice! Victor and Ray were very welcoming, breakfast was delicious and the blueberry muffins were to die for! I would definitely recommend to everyone looking for a nice cozy place to stay with your partner.

This is the second time we stayed with Victor and Ray. Everything was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable. Actually slept with the window open and smelled the ocean breeze. We came for the weekend to visit the area, and had such a lovely stay. We have stayed in several bed and breakfast before, and this was one of the most clean locations we have stayed at. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the location of the property itself was very convenient to visiting the local area. We were able to walk to short sands beach in about 10 minutes, and also walked to dinner at the local lobster pound as well. Our hosts were also very friendly and offered good suggestions of sites to visit in the local area. We would definitely stay here again!

The accommodations were beyond my expectations since I had never been to a B&B before. Our hosts were such wonderful people and made us feel so welcome in their beautiful home. The grounds and gardens were beautiful,you could tell they loved their home and outside areas. We were provided with a tasty breakfast each morning of fresh blueberry muffins, toast or English muffins, scrambled eggs,bacon,coffee,tea, juice and more It was to die for!! It’s a beautiful house with a spacious bedroom and bath. The hosts are amazing they make you feel like you’re staying with friends. The property is also very beautiful with flowers and trees perfectly manicured. A great place to stay and explore the coast of Maine.

Victor and Ray were awesome hosts!! The breakfast was delicious, they helped with all needs... They were quick to offer a hose to help wash a wound off outside, they were a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area (including great places to eat!). A great great GREAT place to stay, what a wonderful experience! We travel all the time, but not normally to the same place. However should we ever come back to the York area, well be staying here! Thank you Victor and Ray, your hospitality was wonderful!

This property was just perfect. It's a lovely B&B, with the sweetest hosts, Victor and Ray. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, they were there to make our stay perfect. We loved sitting on the porch having our coffee and/or cocktails. Great little lobster roll joint right across the street. The breakfast they made was wonderful, especially the blueberry muffins. Would highly recommend and will certain stay here again if/when we return to this area. Convenient to all surrounding areas. Thank you Bittersweet!

Victor and Ray have a beautiful, comfortable and immaculate B & B with surrounding property and perfect porches to relax and visit on, as well as eat a delicious breakfast on! They are kind, humorous and most welcoming. We cannot wait to return.

It’s perfect. It is a great location and beautiful house.

Everything was clean and in working order. Not only the house, but the grounds are meticulously cared for. The owners are kind, helpful, knowledgeable about the area - available, but not too much. The one (very) small thing I would have appreciated is a sink in the same room as the toilet and shower.

Extremely pleased with our accommodations and location of Bittersweet to Short Sands and Cape Neddick Beach. Co-owner Victor was very pleasant and eager to make sure our stay was memorable. We would not hesitate booking accommodations in the future.

Beautiful home with a wrap around porch with comfy rockers. A one mile walk to town. Another mile to the lighthouse. Lovely hosts. Great breakfast with Victor's famous homemade blueberry muffins.

Victor and Ray have a spotless, beautiful place. The grounds are kept up nicely! The room was very comfortable - had both a ceiling fan and air conditioner. The breakfast was very good with coffee or tea, juice, homemade muffins every morning, fruit, yogurt, eggs, and bacon - plenty to get you going in the morning! Our stay was fantastic!

Met and exceeded our expectations. Victor and Ray have a top notch b&b. Blast was good and as all the reviews say the blueberry muffins are amazing. Easy walk to short sands and quick trips to long sands, ogun quit or wells beaches by car.

Victor and Ray are terrific hosts. The atmosphere is so peaceful and laid back, the rooms are spotless and very tasteful and the breakfast is delicious and substantial. We love eating on the porch and watching the humming birds in the gardens.

I love my stay. The property was beautiful and the hosts were just wonderful. We plan to stay there for many years to come.

Wow! What a great discovery! Warm welcome, exemplary cleanliness, room was pretty, spacious and comfortable, well appointed patio to have a drink and breakfast, quiet place where you sleep to the sound of the fountain. Close to restaurants and the beach. Thoughtfulness and little gestures from our hosts (ice, wine glasses, fridge at our disposal). Everything was perfect !!!! We will be back !

The location was wonderful, the setting beautiful, and so convenient to York Beach, either driving, just 2 minutes away, or a short 10 minute walk. The place was very clean and comfortable and Victor and Ray were very accommodating and friendly.

Ray and Victor are perfect hosts. Everything is very clean and they take extra care to ensure their guests are taken care of. The best blueberry muffins were made every day...so delicious! I loved my room and private bathroom and the furnishings were very charming. All of my friends stayed at a hotel about four miles away and I am so happy I chose this quiet and peaceful B&B. It was walking distance to York Village and a little local market across the street. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The house is charming and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and we enjoyed eating it outside on the porch. The location is great- a very short drive to short sands beach.
