Good hotel, slightly average. I got very irritated when the receptionist wanted to me to pay extra to use the gym and spa after check out. In heard of at a 4 star hotel during my 25 years of traveling frequently.

Staff are pleasant, courteous and helpful. Hotel is right beside the train stations. There is also an amazing cafe called Excelsior Cafe about 5 minutes walk away where we had breakfast every morning. Overall a nice quieter neighborhood that is a bit away from the busy areas of Tokyo and still central and convenient to get around. Love it

Was a nice hotel. Room was small but it had a good balcony which helped. Good location in Tokyo with a local subway right next door linking up with Shinjuku station and easy walking to Shibuya. Staff were nice. Would have been good to have the bar open more often. We didn’t get to utilise it at all as it seemed to be always closed at key points in the day. Has a great buffet breakfast with both Japanese and European options.

Overall very nice hotel, my partner and I enjoyed our stay. The onsen is nice but you do have to cover up your tattoos, they will provide coverup. We both just wish there was a convenience store near by.

We loved the breakfast and how close the station is to the hotel. It was easy to get around all the different parts of Tokyo that we wanted to see from here, and we slept well every night.

On site restaurant is expensive and the food is poor

City trip for 5 nights, great location right next door to the subway. Quite a small room with no where to unpack. Facilities of washing were very useful.

Beautiful modern hotel in a perfect location!

We had 2 separate reservations for this trip. First, in a room without a kitchen and the second part of the trip, a room with a “kitchen”. Both rooms had lovely views of the park which is rare in Tokyo. The room with a “kitchen” had a sink and one stove top without any pots, dinnerware, and cooking utensils so the “kitchen” was basically non functional. The “kitchen” has the same amenities as the rooms that don’t advertise them as the rooms with “kitchen” which is a couple of cups and glasses. I am on a special diet so I wanted to be able to prepare light meals in the room, but I was not able to do so. The “kitchen” space could have been better utilized for a dresser to put our clothing away instead of having to lay them out on a sofa in the room. If you are looking for a functional kitchen, look elsewhere. Paying extra for a room with a “kitchen” is wasting money in my opinion. Otherwise, the hotel is in a good and quiet location for Tokyo.

Great amenities. Everything you would need or might have forgotten to pack and more. Short walk to rail, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and more. Great staff. Awesome coffee venue nearby. Quick walk to Meiji jingu as well.

Not many shops nearby which make it quiet. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hot bath is wonderful as well. My second time here.

Hotel was beautiful and staff was exceptional.

We had a lovely 2-night stay here in one of the moderate queen rooms. It was sweet and everything we needed. Also the location near the Kokuritsu-kogijo station was perfect for us. Really near Shinjuku so just awesome, we totally could have stayed longer. Staff were friendly and we were able to store our bags after we checked out. Would totally go back.

We enjoyed our stay at this Mitsui. Nicely located across from the sportsdome in Tokyo! Nice walking distance from Harajuku buy also close to all the metros and trains! We appreciated access to a washer and dryer in the hotel. Would stay again but take a room facing the garden instead of train. Although faint, you can hear the trains go by.

Really enjoyed my stay. Lovely room with balcony and large bathroom. Enjoyed the public bath. Breakfast was really good, although they could improve their efficiency in assigning people to tables during peak hours. Staff was very friendly.

On first arrival we were really pleased that the hotel felt as good as the pictures and reviews we had read. The entrance lobby has a smart, yet busy and casual feel and we were greeted professionally. The rooms were great with lovely views and the balcony was a real gem, though a bit too hot to sit out on in the height of summer, we really loved having it anyway. And if you wake up at 4am, like we did, there are some amazing sounds of cicadas and very sleepy Tokyo. It’s very quiet and beautiful. After being there a while, I did notice there was a bit of tidying up to do in terms of upkeep, nothing major, just noticed a bit of minor wear and tear around some door ways etc and for the price, this probably needs to be looked at. BUT this doesn’t detract at all from the excellent rooms and area. The bakery in the morning was brilliant as we didn’t want to have the sit down breakfast anyway. The 3 lifts seem to be a bit small for the capacity of the hotel. But would definitely recommend this place anyway.

Comfortable rooms with large beds but minimal walk space. Lovely balcony facing the park. Bathtub was a tad small but works fine. Room lighting was a little dim (especially for makeup) but ok after drawing the curtains. Near a few train stations but will need to travel a little for food.

Employees were amazing in their service. The place is modern and the room is extraordinary. We will definitely come back, you have the subway station next to the hotel for am easy commute to anywhere.

Nice hotel, 7-8minutes walk from JR station. Subway station is next to the hotel. The environment is good since around hotel have the small forest. Center of the city but enjoy the green also. Hotel staff service is good, the support for foreigners is also good. Room should be smaller than the hotel at the capital city of other country but the cleaness is very good. Facility is the latest condition.

We loved staying at Mitsui Garden! The staff was extremely helpful and were able to help us during our travel to Japan, most if not all staff members spoke English and communication was easy. Please, please, please, take the time to eat at the hotel. I swear this was my husband’s favorite part about Japan. The bakery is also so yummy!

One of the best hotel experiences I've had—beautiful property and the staff is the sweetest! Yamamoto checked us in and handled a matter that I thought would be a challenge. I really appreciated that. It's not the most central location, but it's accessible to popular areas by taxi.
