The property surrounding wasn’t the best however internally it is clean and the staff are very welcoming

This is a lovely Casa Particular to stay in. They really care for you here and breakfast is excellent. The building is in good condition and the AC works well. You are walking distance from all the main sights in Havana, and it feels safe to walk round here. Downsides? as with all of Cuba the WIFI is a bit unreliable, and the mattress was not the most comfortable. HOWEVER - The pluses far outweigh any negatives so I recommend!

Positive: Good location in Old Havana. Big room. Nice decoration throughout. Negative: Shower was a dribble with no control over the temperature. Info: In reflexion, this hotel (its not a casa particular) is expensive and doesn't offer good value for money.

Beautifully restored house in Old Havana with all modern amenities. Excellent breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Situated in Old Havana but only a short walk to the Parque Central area.

Do not be put off by the outside,inside is lovely and very clean. Very good breakfast and excellent service from Carlos and Joanna. This hotel was better than a so called 5 star hotel we stayed in in Varadero.

Very beautiful room with nice windows and balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole place was kept very clean. As expected the wifi was not great but it was sufficient for our needs. Breakfast was modest but also sufficient. The shower was the worst part of our stay. It was very very challenging to get “warm” water…very cold OR very hot (scalding) water was available. Also the water pressure in the shower was very very light (even compared to a typical light pressure in Europe).

This is a fabulous hotel. It's beautiful with some lovely extra touches. You don't need to think about staying here, book it! You won't regret it. Excellent standard, very clean & brilliant location. The roof terrace is a great spot to enjoy a drink & sunshine before heading out

All the staff were friendly, super helpful and efficient. Great breakfast provided. Ac was as cold as ice. Just a couple of short blocks from playa central and excellent salsa bars and bigger hotels where it’s is neat to eat later in the day

Your friends and family cannot go up to the room to visit . Other then that good service

Our stay here was wonderful. The staff are excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us a lot of helpful tips for our stay with money exchange, places to see, taxis, restaurants and anything we could need. Breakfast was nice which was welcome as the food generally in Havana isn’t great. The rooms were cleaned every day and the air conditioning was sublime. WiFi was spotty but it seems to be a problem with the National provider not the Casa. Yamela (name sp.?) was a lovely and helpful host and I’d like to thank Carlos as well, he helped us out a lot and was so pleasant. Austin too. All of the staff are great and a credit to the Casa. The area is a little rough around the edges but the location itself is good, close to the Capitol, Gran Theater, Hotels, Revolution Museum (closed for renovations), Many squares, parks, and the ocean front. Thank you!

The staff and owners were very helpful and friendly. They were always available and happy to book any activities up and change money. The room was lovely with good air conditioning. The breakfast of eggs and toast/jam and good coffee was really nice. You could buy cold water or beer at anytime. The Hotel was in the centre of Old Haven so very easy to walk to places and to see the old town and have a drink or food.

We loved our stay at Hostal del buen viaje. The staff were fantastic- so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfasts were really good and the room was very clean and comfortable. The traditional property was excellently restored/ presented and created a really tranquil feel. We found this place to be a fantastic base for exploring Cuba and returning to. Thanks so much again to Diana, Carlos, Joanis, Eduardo etc for making our stay so special! :-)

Very warm welcome by all the staff. They are there to please you. Good and generous breakfast to start your day. Great central location. Free wifi and in-room safety box. Highly recommend the place

We absolutely loved staying at Hostal del Buen Viaje! We stayed in the premium room although it was only the two of us and it was worth it. The room is very spacious, comfortable and with a nice flare of old colonial architecture. It has a long balcony from which you can observe life on the streets while enjoying a slow morning or a late night drink. The bathroom is small but newly renovated and very clean. We had daily cleaning services, including fresh towels. The breakfast provided is simple but very tasty with a lot of fresh exotic fruits. The location is also very good. All the most important spots in Old Havana are a short walk away and there are a couple of very good bars and cafes nearby. The staff is probably one of the nicest and most helpful we have known so far. Diana and the rest of the crew always had a smile on their faces and were ready to answer our questions and provide us help. They really went the extra mile throughout our stay and we genuinely appreciate it. They made us feel safe and welcomed on our first trip to Havana :)

The location is also amazing right in the heart of old Havana, there’s a roof on the top of the building, and for us it was really important! Overall I really recommend this hotel you will not regret going there!

As well, my wife has a pineapple allergy and even though it was a different kitchen and serving staff every day, they clearly talk to each other as the prepared fruit plate for each breakfast after telling them the first morning didn't have pineapple. If we get back to Havana in the future, this will be our first choice for a place to stay!

Loved our stay here - as with much of old Havana the surroundings may seem run down but inside this casa is just wonderful and a great place to stay. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to the suite and this just meant that our stay could not have been any better. The service was excellent, the breakfast fresh and well prepared and the location set us right in the heart of the action.

In La Vieja Habanaa chaotic neighborhood, a really nice place

Fantastic little Bed & Breakfast with just 13 rooms. Right in the heart of Old Havana. Spotlessly clean, made to feel at home from the minute we walked in the door. Do not hesitate!

The warmth of the staff: Diana, Carlos, Empedio, Joana, the cooking staff and the room cleaning staff went above and beyond. The attention to detail was exceptional. The bed was very comfortable, linens and towels were high quality and the made to order breakfast was delicious! Location was also good, just a few blocks from Central Park, the Capital and the heart of Old Havana, plus the TransTur bus was a great value for a ride to Santa Maria beach.

Everything was fine and the room was very beautiful and the bed very comfortable. The only thing that only worked for 1 hour was the WiFi. 😭 We only booked it because of that for flight check in and so on... and then it didn’t work...

The best things about this property were the location and the staff who were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had basic facilities but was very clean and well looked after. It was within walking distance to the Capitolio. What it lacked for me was a TV and the internet did not work for the 2nd 24 hours of my 2 day stay ( not their fault) but due to heavy rain.
