Second time at this hotel - 2 years apart. Clean, efficient, comfortable and large room. Hotel visit was great and breakfast is very good. Only issue - billing - ordered the room thru One Key / Hotels.com and paid in full with a combination of points and money. After checking out a pending charge for the entire amount is shown on my credit card after one week. Will dispute the charge. Otherwise an excellent hotel stay.

This is my 3rd or 4th time staying at this hotel. It has now become my go-to hotel everytime I am in Gainesville. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, parking lot is well lighted and safe. The breakfast is always good and filling. I will always look for openings at this hotel first when there.

We arrived at the hotel late on Saturday night after Hurricane Helene had blown through the day before. Apparently a transformer blew out and the hotel was running on a generator. They did let us know that there was no air conditioning in the room, but more like it was an afterthought. When asked what we were suuposed to do, the concierge snottily said, "Just go to Walmart and buy a fan". 1) there was no sign ANYWHERE that the AC wasn't working in the rooms. The AC was working just fine in the lobby, though. 2) There was no attempt to contact anyone and let us know so we could have figured something out in advance. 3) there was no apology or recompense offered. Not even a bottle of water, a coupon for a free night in the future, or anything. 4) to suggest at 11pm that I go find a walmart and shop for a box fan is ludicrous!! We happened to luck out that a local CVS was still open and happened to still have a couple fans, but that's not the point. 5) t was cooler outside than in. If the windows opened, we could have at least pit the fan in the window to suck the colder air in If I hadn't prepaid for the hotel room, I would've canceled right then and there and driven the 2 hours back home. As it was, we didn't even bother to stay the 2nd night. I'm never staying there ever again.

Well we came from 60miles away too thinking our room was like I paid for and it wasn’t. I get there the clerk tell another family the a/c is out in the rooms not the lobby or the hallways an I was like ok did I hear that right? So when it got to me she welcomed me I signed an then after she gives me my room keys she goes” oh I forgot too inform you that there is no a/c in the rooms….lol I just couldn’t be mad because we had no power at the house so I just stayed up all night with the room door open so everyone could get some air at least. But room 104 we can’t complain it was better than staying in the dark with four kids and just went grocery shopping an can’t cook. But having the door open maybe wasn’t safe but we well they slept ok after it cooled down.

I was leaving Florida ahead of hurricane Helene and there was a really nice place. The staff was friendly. The hotel is only three years old and it’s absolutely gorgeous.
