This hotel was super cute, super clean, beautiful, and cozy. It was a lovely oasis to find in the city.

Shockingly good. Uber driver couldn't find it the first two tries, but once we did it turned out to be a hell of a deal. The lobby doesn't tell the story of the rooms. I'm still shocked we were that close to LaGuardia with so much space, for that price.

This hotel is not flexible at all. Please avoid.

The property is a great deal for staying near Manhattan. The rooms a large, well-designed, and modern. The only downside is that the local area is a bit of a dead zone and walking at night doesn't feel very safe. These are not issues if you take the subway out into manhattan to enjoy your time.

Loved the space and Aaron was a good host. I will come back.

Nice quiet hotel a bit off the beaten track but I needed to be in the LIC area so it worked out just fine. Plan on using Uber to get around though.

We only stayed one night but it was the perfect spot for us visiting NYC. Cheap parking near the hotel and easy access to the metro to visit the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is perfect for the artsy type!

Staff was attentive, good location, great views, nice rooms, nice amenities, no complaints. Will stay there again.

We had a great stay. Aaron was so incredibly helpful during the first half of our stay at the Modernist. The hotel is in a great location. The hotel is close to several coffee shops and restaurants. We had the king suite room which comes with a beautiful and huge balcony. Our favorite part was ordering dinner each night and sitting out on our private patio. Thank you for a great stay. Will recommend it to family when they come visit in the future!

Our room was super clean and the whole hotel smelled so wonderful. Also, the hotel provided many necessities that we may have forgotten.

Hidden Gem. Home away from home. The room that we got was gorgeous, clean. Staffs were very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place.

Terrific small hotel. Decor is terrific, rooms and lounge are extremely attractive, clean, and comfortable. staff is capable and friendly. Fun art in the lounge and lobby. Street parking was easy. Our favorite hotel in the NY area out of many we have visited. Price is reasonable for the superb quality, maybe because there is no breakfast nor bar. But you can bring anything in to enjoy in the beautiful lounge. They have free coffee in the rooms and in the lounge, and reasonably priced drinks and snacks at the front desk. A deli on the corner and good restaurants in easy walking distance. Near subway to Manhattan and the other boroughs. We are former NYers and like the Long Island City vibe. Out of towners may need a ritzier neighborhood.

We had a delightful three night stay at this little hotel. The room was clean, bright, and airy, and the bed was probably the most comfortable I've slept in in a hotel. It was very quiet during our whole stay. So often I've had vacations marred by poor sleep, but not this time. The staff was very helpful, and provided us with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a good stay at the hotel, 1 thing I can say that was a little inconvenience had to wait for the front desk to get back for almost an hour to check in. The birthday packages could also include more items or bigger champagne considering the price.

Exceeded expectations, very close to two different subway lines, easy to get to Manhattan or Flushing. Nice to have a kitchen with dishes. Comfortable bed! I’d stay here again because it’s an excellent value. Neighborhood is safe, convenience store nearby.

I was shocked. This hotel really is a hidden gem. The staff are incredibly nice, I love the art room and my room was so cozy, clean, and the decor was so wonderful I took pictures so I can copy it for my bedroom at home. 😂 Every time I come home to visit family I will definitely be staying here.
