L’accueil était chaleureux, personnels sympathiques et attentionnés. L’établissement est super propre, la climatisation fonctionne bien le personnel est a l’écoute.

Breakfast. Eggs should be included in the breakfast. The hotel is not accessible for persons with disabilities especially wheelchair users. My shower drainage was bad with water running from the bathroom to the corridor. Infact, I didn't enjoy the value of my money.

I admire their professionalism for a small Hôtel. Well mannered staff , prompt to respond. Very quiet and clean environment for guests. I highly recommend this hotel.

Plumdering repair not done before my check-in. But still a clean and beautiful hotel. Easy access from town

Comfortable bed, cold and quiet room. Pleasant breakfast. The facilities are very basic, for example in the room there is a wardrobe but no hangers; there's only one towel per room (even though we booked a double room); and the sandals on offer were not only use cheap Havaianas type, but didn't even match!

CAUTION - scamming hotel. As per previous reviews, the room with a bath is a scam. We booked this particular hotel for the bath, and when we got there at 11pm our room was unavailable. The receptionist booked us into a different room, and only charged a different - cheaper - rate after some time arguing. Beware. It is a pleasant enough hotel for one night, but they'll offer you a room that doesn't exist or will never be available. Also as per previous reviews, there's only one towel per double room and they only offer breakfast for one person, even though we booked a double room. The card machine was also 'not working' so we had to drive the receptionist to the nearest cash machine so we could pay for our stay. Only in Cameroon!!

The hotel was cool, beautiful and neat. The receptionists are very friendly, more expecially Richard who was of a great help to me and always there when ever I needed his services. The cleaners are also exceptional and needs to be appreciated.

What I like most about Hotel Vendome is the setting and neatness of the hotel surroundings and the rooms, uniqueness and coorperation among the staff in general.

The hotel was clean on the inside and beds were comfortable with clean and comfy bedsheets

The layout of the bathroom is the worst, bad built. There’s nothing that separates the shower from the toilet in most rooms so unfortunately two people cannot use the bathroom at the same time especially in the princess room. Not enough bath towels for usage, for example to use on the floor to clean after shower used. The toilet seats are smaller than the toilet bowl itself, very uncomfortable . Some bathrooms has cracks on the cabinet it looks like it was breaking off. Location outside is not appealing and they didn’t have an escalator and the place has 4-5 floors, so very inconvenient when traveling with suitcases. Unfortunately they don’t accept credit cards either, had to scramble to find cash in XAF to pay for my stay.

The comfort

Staff are very welcoming, very helpful, young and vibrant and always available to help. Of course, do not expect perfection in this part of the world, so if you are flexible and patient, then this is a very good place to stay. The hotel itself is very quiet. The suite with the spar (where I stayed for 7 days beyond the 2 days I initially planned) is very large and clean. The bed is super super comfy and extra extra large. Room smells very fresh. No trace of mould. The bathroom could be bigger and better but you get used to it very quickly. Breakfast is decent. Internet is OK. The hotel arranged a pick-up from the airport so this is helpful if you do not know your way around. Also staff dabble in English so if your French is no good, you will manage fine. Secured free car park available, which is a plus. Importantly, the hotel is very good value for money for this part of town and if you can, best choose the room with the spar.

A bit more variety in breakfast/drinks would be welcomed but, I was happy with what was on offer.
