Recently renovated house, but retaining its charm. House with a 'soul' and a beautiful history (clarified by some historical documents and photos in the house). Very friendly owners who are always ready to help if needed. Located in a beautiful region (including beautiful views from the house and the garden/courtyard on the surroundings). Very good base for excursions in the area: hiking/nature (Comeragh, Knockmealdown and Galtee mountains, Mitchelstown Caves, Copper Coast, ...) and culture (Rock of Cashel, Cahir Castle, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork, ...). Our children also loved the dog (Queenie) and the kittens around the house.

One (very small) negative point is the lack of a dishwasher in the house.

We loved the welcome note and freshly made scones on our arrival. So much love has gone into the sympathetic renovation of this home to make it a gloriously comfortable place to visit with lots of historic touches. While there was just the two of us staying at the cottage it is well set up for two couples or a single family group. It is also good for older people with only one step at the entry and everything else is at a single level. The cottage is located on a working dairy farm which lent to its authenticity and charm. We hope to revisit the next time we come to Ireland.

If you are travelling from Clonmel and ignore the address instructions supplied by the owner and rely on Google Maps it takes you to the wrong driveway so you end up in a cow shed. The cottage cannot be accessed from this part of the farm so you need to retrace your steps and find the correct driveway which is well sign posted and a bit further along.

Loved the cottage it has been updated but still has the charm of an Irish cottage. We really enjoyed our time there and would recommend to everyone.

Everything. The setting was beautiful and relaxing. There is easy access to many things to do. The hosts were wonderful. There was a binder with all kinds of information about things to see and do, that was made by the hosts. An excellent place to stay.
