I LOVE LOVE this place. We got the shark room. The architecture looked beautiful in picture but it was much more gorgeous in real life. The interior room was cute and very lovely. The manager Miriam was AMAZING and made our stay even better! The pool looked out to the large body of water, which made for the most beautiful sunset. I loved the free bikes, the area is pretty flat and beautiful so a bike in my opinion is the best way to explore Placencia. I love that there is a washer and dryer free to use, and there was a small cooking area in the room to cook if wanted. The local floralia bus drops you right in front of Swan Villa and also picks you up right across the street (makes it so convenient to get to Placencia as well as economical). Our patio was amazing, which made nightly star gazing such an amazing experience. That jacuzzi in the room was the cherry on top 😁. I absolutely 💯 percent recommend this place.

The biked are a bit worn down but after I notified Miriam, she got the bikes fixed up😁

The property is in a very good location, it was clean, and the staff was very helpful.

The potable water supply was never functional in the morning so we couldn’t carry out any domestic chores (i.e shower or brush our teeth). We had to shower outside under the pool’s shower. And this was a PROBLEM.

I love the balcony views of the lagoon. I also loved the shower And the overall design of the property.

Lost power once and internet twice. Loved pool just wish it was deeper.

The villa was a pleasure to stay in and "worth the detour" just for enjoying its design. It was good to have a little kitchen, too. Bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of cushions and pillows. The WhatsApp guided check-in was very efficient with friendly and responsive hosts. Nice pool and views of the lagoon to wind down.

If it had not been for the pleasure of staying in the villa I would have left Plasencia disappointed by the lack of accessible and clean beaches, they were covered with weed. Hence the location of the compound on the lagoon side is much more pleasant.

Super fun villa beautiful property. Check in/out was easy. Quiet area! Everything you need plus some. I would come back and stay again for longer.

The unit itself had lots of bugs. I understand it's tropics and bugs are inevitable however, I needed to use spray daily, inside. It just needs one good sweep and spray to get them out. I suspect it was a previous renter that had left windows open (design doesn't allow for screens ) or perhaps food was left out by mistake and it invited more than normal in. Everything else is PERFECT!

the property is actually called Swan Villas not Magnificent Villas so the taxi driver couldn’t find it, he asked several local people, no one knew where it was, so our taxi fare doubled to USD 40 from the water taxi, it is miles out of town (12+ kms) we cycled it, the bicycles are tiny with no gears so it took over an hour each way

great and unique space with lovely artistic touches. Miriam the on-site manager is great. amazing pool and sun deck. for the price this place is fantastic. you will need a car.

My wife and I loved our stay at Swan Villas - Dolphin Villa. The owners were in excellent contact with us as we made our journey from the border by car. They were very welcoming of our registered service dog too which is not all that common when you are traveling. The villa itself was super clean and there were plenty of clean towels ready to use after a soak in the huge hot tub located in the living room! Internet was fast enough averaging 50Mbs. The villas are architecturally so much fun and the layout means that you have excellent views over the infinity pool, to the lagune water to the mountains, all this without being 'overlooked' by one of the 4 other villas. The property manager Miriam was absolutely excellent. She made sure that the hot tub was clean and water & chemical levels correct. If we needed housekeeping, she arranged it. If we wanted information about local services, restaurants, stores etc. - she was either found working around the property or just a WhatsApp / phone call away. We have nothing negative to say about the place at all, neither did the few other guests that we met poolside. In fact, we originally booked it for 3 nights but were so impressed with Swan Villas, Placencia and the people that we dealt with that we decided to extend our stay an extra 3 weeks!.. ...I don't think that you can get a better recommendation than that. We are going to return in the future and have already recommended it to family and friends.
