Nice place, great view and access to the beach

We stayed here almost 10-years ago; and decided to go back for my husband’s birthday. It was awesome. Such a great location. You can walk in to town, across the dune to the beach, or to the state park. If you plan ahead, you would never need to leave! ;) The house is updated, comfortable, and has all of the amenities you would need. Highly recommend. I am sure we will be back again. Someday. :)

Location, location, location. Shorty’s Hideaway is located between a public beach access and Bob Staub park. It’s near to town on a quiet street easy to walk the beach from the house or drive into town for dinner. The house has view windows of the beach grass and ocean, that fill the space with light. It worked great for two couples. The primary suite has a view to the ocean and an en-suite bathroom, lots of storage and a tv. The other bedroom is on the other side of the house and has a bathroom right next door. It’s cozy and has thoughtful hanging storage. The kitchen os l’arche and well appointed. The rental agent answered the phone promptly when we called to let them know the main suite smoke detector started beeping o the early morning. Fortunately we found the battery and light bulb drawer and replaced the battery. The agent was apologetic, we called just to let them know that we used the last battery and she said they were replacing all batteries next week. We would highly recommend a stay at Shorty’s.

The home was well equiped, clean and roomy. When we did reach out to the host she was attentive and responsive to our inquiries. The immediate neighbors were pleasant and engaging. The local town had a nice vibe and really added to a wonderful holiday by the sea. Would we return? - without question! We had a wonderful time and felt really at home.

Perfect beachfront location away from the crowds. Dog-friendly home is completely remodeled inside with high-quality furnishings, comfy beds and everything you could need in the kitchen. We will be back!

We had a very close to perfect stay and can't recommend Shorty's Hideaway enough! The house was spotless, every need thought of from linens to kitchen to games and TV. The location is incredible, with a short walk down to the beach. Our property manager Katie was also a rock star, and was so helpful with everything. We will be back!

We had a great time at the beach. Really relaxing. Walked the beach daily. The hike back up was a little rough but not too bad. Lincoln city was about 20 minutes away if we needed something we couldn't find in pacific city. We will definitely be back in the future

Beautiful weather. There was no can opener, so we had to buy one and left it there. It would be nice if the owners would replace the overhead lights for ceiling fans with lights. We brought our own fans for the living room and dining room. Overall, very homey and comfortable.

This was our second time stay at this beach house! Perfect for my family and fur baby. This visit we brought our bikes and did a ride into town for ice cream for the kids. We will be back next summer.

The house was clean and well equipped. It’s right on the beach and a nice semi enclosed back yard. Great for dogs, kids and families. I will be coming back to this one.

The home, location and amenities were fantastic. Close to it all…we spilled out the back deck and were in the Ocean..Bonfire every night with s’mores! I think the only negative was just two beds. King in one bedroom and queen in the other. I believe it advertised sleeping 6. It worked for us and we created great memories. Thanks to Katie the owner!

Very neat and comfortable with very few people on the beach

Great getaway place. The house was clean, beds were great and we wanted for nothing 😊 Our dog’s had a blast. The fresh seafood was amazing. Love Pacific City!

The property was exactly as described. The house was very neat and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our culinary delights. Stunning sunsets and long walks on the beach made this holiday so relaxing and enjoyable. There is a sand dune to maneuver down to get to the beach and some sea grass to go through…nothing major, but do bring your beach shoes to walk through the grass. We would definitely stay here again and again. Thank you again for the wonderful stay.

Super clean, excellent spot. Beach access is awesome, but be aware that it is off a sand dune, and a good short climb back. Tons of towels, plenty of pots and pans. Awesome time overall.

My sister and I loved our stay at Shorty’s! Clean, comfortable, and the updated kitchen, bedrooms and baths were tastefully decorated. So close to the beach! Such an easy access for us and our pups. Quiet neighborhood between the ocean and the river. We’ll definitely be back!

We rent several VRBOs every year and this was one of the best. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need and more. We’ve been to places where you couldn’t find pen or paper but this had that and plenty of soap, toilet paper (more than 1 roll), nice utensils (not cheap dollar store stuff), beach towels and more. They even had dog bowls. The house was decorated in a simple beach theme without being overwhelming. The kitchen and baths were nicely updated. We appreciated that they left the main living area with the historical character of the original beach house. Not only was the house located on the beach, but it was near the end of the road so there wasn’t much traffic which made it easier to walk dogs. Adirondack chairs were provided beach side to watch the sunset.

All the "Cs"!! Clean, Comfortable, Cozy, Convenient. We had a wonderful stay here. Loved walking the beach with our pup and you didn't feel the need to go anywhere. Kitchen had everything you needed. Washer & Dryer were impeccably clean. My only complaint would be that we couldn't stay longer. Thank you for having us!

Loved the location overlooking the sand dunes and beach. Very comfy, clean residence with a well supplied kitchen. Town center just 3/4 mile away. Property manager Katie was extremely responsive to questions and saved the day for us when we locked ourselves out! Property is pet friendly!

Great view with easy access to the beach is just the start of all the great things at Shorty's Hideaway. Kitchen is the best equipped. Beds are comfortable. A return visit for us is a must.

Shorty’s Hideaway was great! Clean, cozy, right on the beach! Comfy beds, kitchen full of necessities, having the garage to shake off excess sand (from both humans and dogs) was wonderful especially with the rain. Hosts were fabulous! We will be back!

The house itself is charming and located just steps from the beach. The sounds of waves are soothing and peaceful, with access to food and amenities, just a short drive away. Will not hesitate to rent again.

Don’t let first appearances sway you (you go thru the garage to get into the house). The living area faces the ocean! Walk out the back door and down the tiny bluff and you’re on the sandy beach! The house is set up great for a family or two couples. Each bedroom is on separate side of the house. The kitchen is very well stocked with every kind of utensil or appliance you need. My favorite part? Heated floors!!! Excellent, my friends, excellent! We’ll be back!

Great option if your looking to stay in Pacific City. The house comfortably slept all four of us and we would stay there again. Check in was super easy, house was very clean and exactly as advertised, the kitchen is very well stocked and provided everything we needed. The location and access to the beach is great.

A fantastic beach house for couples or small groups, especially those with beach-loving dogs. The house was impeccable. The well-equipped kitchen was as nice as any short-term we have stayed in. The rare single car garage was great for un-loading and loading in the rain. And for shedding sandy shoes and cleaning sandy and wet dogs. We'll go back!

Spacious, clean and well-maintained house with a fully equipped kitchen. Fantastic views and great location on the dunes by the beach. Pet-friendly is a bonus!
